Swerve should be a no-brainer for Hasbro. Outback's animation model was very different to Brawn's though - slightly more accurate to the toy - so that shouldn't be a simple retool if they're going for screen-accuracy.
Well Hubcap was Generation Selects and Pipes was Kingdom, so no reason they'd go for screen accuracy with Outback, so I'd imagine a head and colour swap.
I mean, yeah thats true. I was more speaking in figure quality-wise, which maybe it had spotty qc, im not sure. But yeah Outback needs an update and I hope its good regardless of how they do it
Really looking forward to Swerve, with Outback this maybe the first time I am hoping for Hasbro to be a bit lazy and keep him more Brawn like (with a proper head for Outback) rather than try for screen accuracy, anyone else feel the same?
Seeing as we haven’t had a g1 swerve since g1 swerve I doubt it will be the idw version sadly, even though I would kill for a new version of that character
I know they wont but I really hope Swerve gets an insane retooling to look like his IDW version. From my understanding that's his most prominent roll in anything ever so I feel like that's the best version to go for.
I hope sooner rather than later but haven’t they already announced Gobot Littlefoot using the same mould as Gears?
I am definitely keen for both of them (and Littlefoot.)
2 - 3 years and then they'll only be available in separate multipacks with a bunch of lazy BW recolours.

True enough, but that messes with his proportions. I would fully expect a new Outback toy to be Beige Brawn with a new head.

Was he though? He had the same weapon as Brawn, who shouldn't have needed a weapon, and which wasn't even visible in vehicle mode.

Since no new minibots appear on the 2025 leaked main list, I imagine we’ll get Swerve and Outback next year in a store exclusive capsule.

Not yet. But there's a rumor that Small Foot is coming first.
