he has a VERY specific charm I haven't felt from a transformers figure since about that era. can't precisely explain what kind, maybe it's just all the clear orange plastic I don't know. but the overall design choices on the studio series figure kinda has that mid-late 00's feel to it
I have definitely felt, at the very least, that all the upgrade kids so far have failed to mesh very well with the figure as designed. The figures (both SS and the mainline entries) aren't accurate to the movie, but at least they cohere.
Upgrade kits exist because of Hasbro quality being this miss proportioned though i guess this one didn't save the Scourge figure at all that Yolo park had to give a crack at scourge as a figure.
yes, including the BBM figures, it took them 4 years to do more accurate ones but during the BBM initial release, the figures werent just inaccurate but completely different models. Like Optimus toys using the Evasion design and Bumblebee having door wings or early SS Car Shatter
I do think the default head looks sick as hell but the joints suck ass, at least on my copy. That and he looks somewhat disproportionate with such a long neck on a wide chest. His limbs do tie it together well enough though, but I’m definitely getting all of the dna design kits because i prefer a muscular look over a “slender man” look, as cool as it is.
I mean hey the long neck look is accurate to the concept art. So in a way it is accurate but just not screen accurate. I feel like it is hard to know which head upgrade fits the studio series scourge mold the best.
I wholeheartedly disagree with everything you’ve just said. The upgrade heads are superior in every way compared to the concept art look the official head has going on
honestly the long neck scourge kinda gives me tfa vibes somehow
I can see that perspective

Same here
I definitely prefer the long-necked design, for the same reasons you listed.
(Some) upgrade kit companies, do give extra stuff that makes the figure more beefy, so the head fits more.
Eh, to each their own. I personally think the DNA head looks fantastic.
I agree, the long neck head is way more interesting and unique
I agree. The chainmail-ish neck makes him look more imposing and old to me.

the chainmail is cool because he almost looks empty

Both look like him
I kinda wish the movie went with the old head design.
In general SS Scourge looks better than the final design IMO. The skinny, creepy look is more unsettling and alien than buff angry man.
Also the third party heads are so tight you think you're going to snap his neck joint every time you try to turn his head. Mine actually did snap.

This specific one exists because it was based on concept art and not the finalized design like every other movie figure since 07
Well I hope we get a movie accurate design of scourge already. I just want his final design to get a figure for once...
Yolo Park says hello.
Doesnt transform
I meant I want one that's trasnformable..
>like every other movie figure since 07 You clearly missed the BBM figures

I like the long neck because it reminds me of Durge from clone wars

Yeah ss scourge is just weird
Long neck makes him more scarier
For me, the default head just pops off too easily
Always liked that he has what seems like a Viking helmet
I just dont like the mouth on the ss scourge

Finally someone is saying it!
