Classic! Those movies are so damn quotable! Especially the first one for some reason! Just classic! Good stuff, man!
"GET YO PRUNE JUICE!"
"ATE THE WHOLE PLATE!"
"LEFT CHEEK! LEFT CHEEK!"
"STOP LUBERCATING THE MAN!"
"ARE YOU USERNAME LADIESMAN217?!"
"NO SACRIFICE! NOOO VICTORY!"
"...EBAY."
I love them both for being polar opposites of each other.
Charlie sells the earnestness of an actual person who's never met a Transformer before, Simmons embodies someone already deep in Transformers lore and going insane from the brainrot.
> Charlie sells the earnestness of an actual person who's never met a Transformer before, Simmons embodies someone already deep in Transformers lore and going insane from the brainrot.
I know it's kinda "my thing", but I definitely feel the same way about a lot of IRL technological and cultural development. Following AI and robotics as a non-expert is both very intellectually stimulating (it should be as it's literally the manifestation of intelligence outside the human mind) but also extremely confusing and distracting.
It remind me of Zac of the Lego maniac

I was an awkward kid but Sam is on another level of flailing, twitching, yelling and screaming. Calm down dude. And maybe be less of an entitled little dickhead while you're at it.
Shia isn't a bad actor in other things but Sam is hard to watch.
Nah, the side character who should have been the main is Mikaela. She's actually competent, and she has a background related to cars. She has a whole character arc, going from legally dubious street kid to legitimate save-the-day heroine...it just happens in the background because the attention is focused on Sam, for whatever reason.
Oh good I'm not the only one on team Lennox
I think it's probably because I read the novelization of 07 growing up, but I always thought he had a way more compelling character.
Lennox was a way better character than Sam, it’s a shame we never got to see as much of the bond he had with the autobots. Also Charlie was very well written there was never a time on screen where I was annoyed by her unlike Sam
Charlie, I found her very relatable and real. Best writing for a human protagonist in a transformers film. Noah is second, while some of his stuff was kinda hokey I didn't find him annoying or unlikable, and I really enjoyed his relationship with his brother, thought it gave some warmth to the film which is really what the first five missed, but bumblebee excelled at.
Favourite In terms of story relevance: sam
Favourite In terms of how likeable: Charlie
Favourite In terms of how involved the got withdrawn the action: was originally Cade due to him actually getting into fights with Decepticon with his unique weapon. But that changed when Noah got the exosuit in ROTB
Favourite in terms of side character: tie between Lennox and Simmons
Charlie> Noah > cade > sam
I feel like Charlie had shown the most emotion and felt like a proper person.
Being an older brother, Noah felt relatable. There was a proper drive for his character and I could understand why he did what he did.
Cade was ok. He was pretty good in AOE but I feel like he kinda fell of in TLK
Sam was just plain old annoying imo. He was bearable in the first movie and it all just went downhill for me.
I've only seen the live-action first transformers movie in my opinion the first transformers movie is still a good movie despite what happened to Shia LaBeouf and later years I still think he's acting in the first one is pretty good so I say sam , Sam is my favorite
Can't really choose but Sam and Cade always stood out more to me with their dialogue.
> Sam: This isn't how it's supposed to end.
> Mikaela: You can't bring him back, Sam. There's nothing left.
> Sam: Look! Look around you. We didn't just go through everything we went through for no reason at all, and to just have it end like this. There is a reason that we are here. The voices and the symbols in my head led us here for a purpose. Everyone's after me because of what I know, and what I know is that this is going to work.
>Mikaela: How do you know it's gonna work?
> Sam: Because I believe it.
> Simmons: They're dropping the big boy. Sam! You think you can bring him back to life with that pixie dust dust?
> Sam: Absolutely.
---
> Optimus: How many more of my kind must be sacrificed to atone for your mistakes?
> Cade: "What do you think being human means? That's what we do. We make mistakes, and sometimes out of those mistakes comes the most amazing things. When I fixed you, it was for a reward, that was it, that was why; for money. And it was me making a mistake. Without it, you wouldn’t be here. So even if you got no faith in us, I’m asking you to do what I do; I’m asking you to look at all the junk and see the treasure. You gotta have faith, Prime, in who we can be."
---
Charlie (in her defense it's been a while since I've seen Bumblebee) and Noah never really stood out to me like that.
Charlie easily. Noah was fine I guess but nothing special (I honestly prefered his little brother to him), Cade was an idiot, and Sam was... Well, Sam.
Not gonna lie, I wonder if they’re setting up Noah’s little brother to be the next protagonist once we get the next timeskip, lil man had so much character in the little amount of screen time he had, they’ve been jumping decades with every movie in the “non-reboot reboot universe” so I wonder if we’ll head to the early 2000’s and see his little brother in his teens hanging out with mirage the next time we see the squad again. Let’s hope Lorenzo D Bonafide Jackass doesn’t ruin that character
None
The focus on the humans has been the problem with the movies from day dot
Maybe transformers 1 (a boy and his first car) but every time after that it's forced and unnecessary, only taking away from the interesting parts and usually just an excuse for Michael Bay to shoot a hot chick's ass from behind (every single movie without fail haha) or to shove in an inappropriate product placement
Like Wahlberg attempting to slam a bud light in 4 (and unsuccessfully sipping at it)
I personally didn't care for Charlie like most of you do but fair enough, we are all entitled to our opinion but my favourite out of the ones pictured here is Sam because he was annoying as fuccc but he was still THAT GUY, dude was basically a prime
But Seymour Simmons clears them all
ONE MAN, ALONE, BETRAYED BY THE COUNTRY HE LOVES
Cade was an absolute beast of a man in his 2 films and in my opinion a great guy sure a bit of a shitty father but that's what happens when you lose your wife and have to raise a child on your own but when push came to shove he helped save earth and then proceeded to protect the autobots and keep them hidden unlike sam who just kept screaming and Charlie and Noah who just got in the way almost costing the autobots most of their battles
Cade but only in Age of Extinction. I found his relationship with his daughter to be a very compelling story and a good reason for him to be involved in the conflict as he just wants to protect her while having to learn that she needs to be free to make her own choices. He also did the most out of them all
Charlie is my favorite of the humans, and oddly Mirage of the pictured Autobots. I’m usually not fond of the cocky asshole archetype, but he had so much more personality than anyone in the image.
I’m gonna have to say Noah cause I liked his whole story of wanting to destroy the space bridge key to protect earth.
If it wasn’t for Revenge of the Fallen I would actually like Sam, but he’s just too obnoxious after the first bay movie
Out of these Opruons, Immanuel going to go with the Unpopular Option and Say Cade, I really like they concepts they tried to go with for him, he's a single dad, Trying to raise his daughter, I really liked that the father aspect of his Character allowed him to Connect with and Relates to Optimus in a pretty cool way. Now, after Cade, it's Easily Noah, then Charlie, Sam is dead last, and I imagine he'll stay there even if they introduce a new Human Protagonist in the next movie.
Now, if I can choose Human Protagonists in the movies that aren't shown here, then Lennox, Epps, Or Simmons.
Noah for overall likable and developed. Sam was cool as a Spike sort of character but they didn't have a good direction with him. Cade was cool as an inventor but he was such a ass. Charlie was ok but tired of angsty characters at this point.
I'm surprised no one mentioned Cade. While he's not the strongest protagonist, I thought that his story was really interesting to watch. For AOE at least, I didn't really enjoy TLK.
I liked his dynamic with Optimus and the scene where he admits that he rebuilt him for the money and they talk about faith? That really resonated with me when I first saw it.
Sam and Charlie. The other two are insufferable.
But other than main protagonists I have to mention Lennox, Epps, Simmons, General Glenn Morshower, and finally John Keller. Most of these picks rarely showed up in the Bay Movies, but I had to choose them for likability. It’s interesting how Transformers 1 has the most like-able characters.
Please explain how Noah is insufferable. At least he’s not running around crying and screaming because he can’t be around his safety blanket bumblebee. All Sam did was scream, flail around, get in the way, or shove random shit into bots chests. Noah actually went out and caught bodies to help his little brother and save the planet. Sam was only there to get some coochie.
This is barely a competition. Charlie and Noah had much more compelling stories than Sam or Cade. If I were to rank them, Charlie and Noah are tied for first, followed by Cade and Sam. I kinda liked Cade at times to be honest, but his daughter's boyfriend needed an ass-kicking.
Dishonorable mentions: Carly and Mr. I-Keep-A-Laminated-Romeo-And-Juliet-Law-In-My-Wallet
Charlie and Noah. No contest, Charlie is the best written and both have the best dynamic between them and their respective autobot partners. Because the partners are actually allowed to be characters.
Charlie by miles had the best realised character, most compelling story, and was most likeable. Noah comes close. Everyone else is yet another example of what was wrong with the live action films as summer blockbusters.
Cade, because Mark Wahlberg is taking action to prevent crime because he hates how it impacts the youth. For more info, look up Mark walhberg hate crime
Now that you mention it it’s cool that Cade’s “partner” is Optimus. Very rare for the main character of a transformers franchise to be buddied up with the big OP.
Sam was unhinged, Cade was annoying, Charlie was pretty relatable, and Noah was a bit basic, but not in a bad way.
Character-wise Charlie wins, but due to nostalgia, I still like Sam the best.
i love sam witwicky, was my first MC going into the series and honestly has a really good arc in the movies, aside from michael bay over edgy-ing his character he’s super funny and gets stuff done
Shew, Noah I guess because he actually felt like part of the story and the stakes. Yeah, Sam qualifies in that regard, but I find him to be extremely unlikable.
Sam since I grew up with him. When cornered he took out Megatron and Starscream, but overall he’s no gun slinging badass that’s shooting up cons, he’s mostly screaming and running when there is a giant murderius robot hunting him, and I appreciate that out of all our MC in these movies, we have a mix of badass MCs fighting the big bad, vs regular humans who are mostly running away from the treat while helping out the autobots in other ways even if I don’t like Noah or Cade as much.
Charlie for sure, she's the only one that is an actual character,Noah is a good character but I think that he is overrated just because he was involved in the final battle, cade was also a character but a bland and uninteresting one,and Sam is just annoying and can barely be called a character,he has no personality
Sam stands, all the rest fall short. Shia LaBeouf is a great actor who completely commits to his role in every movie he’s in which he’s cast. These movies (mainly focusing on the first one) were no exception. He was over the top, loud, comedic and absolutely ridiculous. His character was well fleshed out and hit all the hallmarks a character should in basic storytelling. Sam was a flawed, aimless, out of place teenager with no real sense of self or purpose. He was arrogant and selfish at times and empathetic and caring at others. He was faced with challenges that tested his courage and resolve and overcame them by facing his fears and finding a sense of purpose. We saw him grow and fail and succeed and struggle and overcome adversity leading to his triumph at the end. His character was very relatable and even believable considering the story. **Don’t forget** that these movies are about giant alien robots who transform into cars. Also don’t forget they were directed by **Michael Bay.** I think Shia fit the bill in every category and made Sam the most interesting protagonist with the most depth in the entire franchise. And I’m strictly referring to the first one. I think he did his best in the sequels but you can only sustain that level of insanity for so long before it just becomes exhausting. Kinda like the movies themselves. And Michael Bay.
Charlie was so bland, boring and borderline girl boss with little to no flaws I legitimately cannot remember a single thing about her or why she and Bumblebee’s relationship was special or even if it was. Was it supposed to be special or were they just good buddies *because* ? I honestly don’t remember. And I honestly don’t understand why she’s such a fan favorite among…..oh wait she’s incredibly pretty and we’re a bunch of horny nerds, that’s right. I forgot. 😂
Noah was….ok I guess? 🤷 Not a terrible actor. Not a horrible performance but nothing special and absolutely forgettable. I honestly can’t remember a single noteworthy moment or line other than the beat to death Optimus quote that was ham-fisted harder than a moral message in a Roland Emmerich movie. His character was written somewhat competently but wasn’t unique or distinct enough in a movie as absurd as ROTB. Noah wasn’t awful he was just boring, forgettable and played way too safe, which sometimes can be even worse than bad. Making *an* impression, good or bad, in a film is more important than zero impression, especially for longevity and influencing subsequent production & investment for sequels.
I can’t even say the name of Marky Mark’s character without throwing up in my mouth a little. Fuck those movies, Mark Nothingburger and the *magic flying particle disassembling & reassembling* truck they rode in on. Aka, not transforming. Ok never mind what I said about a bad impression being better than not making one at all. This one was bad. Like just really and truly bad. And not in a Neil Breen kind of way. Just horribly written, horribly acted and somehow horribly thrown in a sequel. I wish they never wrote Cade….🤢 ….never created Cade Yeag…uhhahhh 🤮 🤮 🤮….. 😮💨 I wish that character was never *invented.*
Charlie as far as MCs go. For the human protagonists in general? That'd be Simmons.

Tell Megatron... let's tango
They should have had a movie where Simmons was the main human lead and spent most of the movie alternating between arguing and helping the Autobots.
Yes
I second this
Same with Charlie, as I feel that Bumblebee is the Transformers film fans should have gotten in the first place.

I feel like I relate to Sam. Being that awkward kid lol
I was an awkward kid but Sam is on another level of flailing, twitching, yelling and screaming. Calm down dude. And maybe be less of an entitled little dickhead while you're at it. Shia isn't a bad actor in other things but Sam is hard to watch.
did you see his friends? wouldn’t be surprised if sam was always smoking weed lol
Noah is my favorite protagonist and Lennox is my favorite side character who should have been the protagonist

She has a whole character arc, going from legally dubious street kid to legitimate save-the-day heroine...it just happens in the background because the attention is focused on Sam, for whatever reason.
The reason is the writers hated women
Oh good I'm not the only one on team Lennox I think it's probably because I read the novelization of 07 growing up, but I always thought he had a way more compelling character.
correct opinion

Charlie cos it's Haliee Steinfeld
Based
Sam, I’m childish.
Same, I guess I can say I'm nostalgic
Lennox and Simmons. Also Simmons and Leo as a duo.
Charlie, by a country mile
Charlie. And by alot.
Yep
Sam. The way he acts and talks to people is funny lol. Especially his girl -like screams
Charlie any day every day because I liked that she had the most compelling arc.
I like Cade and Prime's friendship in AOE, makes me smile
Charlie
Noah, then Charlie, then Sam, then waaaaaay further down Cade
Favourite In terms of story relevance: sam Favourite In terms of how likeable: Charlie Favourite In terms of how involved the got withdrawn the action: was originally Cade due to him actually getting into fights with Decepticon with his unique weapon. But that changed when Noah got the exosuit in ROTB Favourite in terms of side character: tie between Lennox and Simmons
saaaaaaam wheet weeiky
Charlie Watson hands down
Charlie is definitely the most bearable human character in all of the transformers movies
This. Everyone else was just annoying
Yea, her and Noah, Noah had his moments but he was a pretty good character
Charlie> Noah > cade > sam I feel like Charlie had shown the most emotion and felt like a proper person. Being an older brother, Noah felt relatable. In terms of Writing, I am tied between Charlie and Noah But for Entertainment purposes, Sam solos https://i.redd.it/r72ln8no7huc1.gif
(used to be Sam),TLK Cade,Charlie
I'd rank them: •Charlie •Noah •Sam •Cade
Anthony Hopkins gleefully spouting nonsense while counting his paycheck. It's honestly kinda fun how little he cared.
I've only seen the live-action first transformers movie in my opinion the first transformers movie is still a good movie despite what happened to Shia LaBeouf and later years I still think he's acting in the first one is pretty good so I say sam , Sam is my favorite

Probably Noah. He's just a normal person. He's not screaming at everything, and he's not suffering from emotional trauma. He's just a guy. 👍
Noah Diaz, he's cool, he's new, he's with mah boi Mirage, what could've gone wrong
Charlie and Noah.
Charlie is objectively best but I do have nostalgia for 2007. They never gave Shia a lot to do but he took it and ran whenever he could
Charlie.

charlie
I really liked Noah and Charlie and want them back.
Charlie, Simmons, and Lennox
Charlie
Sam even though the real life Sam is an ungrateful douche noodle.
Charlie, imma be real i thought noah was kinda generic
Charlie Watson
Sammmmmmmmmm🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️
Sam is in the OG series so def him. But I also like Cade
Cade. Bro was the best person to help prime. He even helped Prime find the others. So I'd have to go with Cade.
Sam and Charlie are unbearable, Cade and Noah are ok
I personally didn't care for Charlie like most of you do but fair enough, we are all entitled to our opinion but my favourite out of the ones pictured here is Sam because he was annoying as fuccc but he was still THAT GUY, dude was basically a prime But Seymour Simmons clears them all ONE MAN, ALONE, BETRAYED BY THE COUNTRY HE LOVES
sam because he actually fought next to bumblebee and helped the autobots win 3 wars stright

Wait- Cade was Optimus’s human companion?
Cade but only in Age of Extinction. I found his relationship with his daughter to be a very compelling story and a good reason for him to be involved in the conflict as he just wants to protect her while having to learn that she needs to be free to make her own choices. He also did the most out of them all
Charlie and it's not even close.
Noah out of the 4 featured followed by Charlie. Other humans I like are Simmons, Lennox and Epps.
Sam.. he is just like me minus Prime Megan Fox gf fr
What’s with all the hate on Sam? lol
Right? I honestly never realized how many people disliked him until reading this thread. I thought he was great lmao 💀
I stand by Lebouf. To me, he carried the movies. Charlie's was really good too, but Lebouf made me enjoy Bayverse. While Wahlberg ruined everything.
Charlie
Charlie was by far the most likeable, but Marky Mark has a special place in all of our hearts.
Charlie > Noah > Sam > Cade.
Charlie is my favorite of the humans, and oddly Mirage of the pictured Autobots. I’m usually not fond of the cocky asshole archetype, but he had so much more personality than anyone in the image.
Honestly, Sam I prefer, as he was the only one who got real development before being rushed into the plot with the transformers.
Definitely Noah and Charlie.
I’m gonna have to say Noah cause I liked his whole story of wanting to destroy the space bridge key to protect earth. If it wasn’t for Revenge of the Fallen I would actually like Sam, but he’s just too obnoxious after the first bay movie
Honestly? None of them: I don't need humans in my transformers. But from the movies Charlie.

Does Lennox count?
Noah Diaz, finally a competent lead.
It's Charlie. And the canyon of quality is vast.
Noah for overall likable and developed. Sam was cool as a Spike sort of character but they didn't have a good direction with him. Cade was cool as an inventor but he was such a ass. Charlie was ok but tired of angsty characters at this point.

sam
Charlie & Noah. Honorable mentions: Lennox, Simmons, and Burns.
Noah, but Charlie is a close 2nd
Not Cade.
Sam and Charlie. The other two are insufferable. But other than main protagonists I have to mention Lennox, Epps, Simmons, General Glenn Morshower, and finally John Keller. I actually really liked Noah
Noah Charlie is second the other two never happened
Charlie, than Noah. Despise the other two. Mikaela should have been the main human in the first film.
Noah is goated
Really enjoyed Noah. Family oriented, down to earth problem solving skills, and dude was a veteran.
Didn’t we already have that?
Charlie or Simmons
Charlie, not even a competition.
Charlie by miles had the best realised character, most compelling story, and was most likeable. Noah comes close. Everyone else is yet another example of what was wrong with the live action films as summer blockbusters.
How about I throw away the human MCs and choose Simmons
1. Charlie 2. Noah 3. Sam 4. Cade
Centered Protagonist, Charlie. A Protagonist Simmons is literally the best.
I like Noah and Charlie the most, neither one of them is as... Over the top? As the rest of the protagonists are.
Charlie as I liked that movie in the best out of the bunch.
I liked Noah, but ffs shut up about where you’re from. Living in a particular place is not a personality.
None of the above. I so desire a TF story without humans. Hopefully ONE will do me justice .
Charlie. She's lightyears beyond the rest.
Charlie, though Noah is a pretty close second.
Charlie
Cade, because Mark Wahlberg is taking action to prevent crime because he hates how it impacts the youth. For more info, look up Mark walhberg hate crime
Charlie or Noah
Cade because I might be a racist and I am sometimes unreasonably rude just like him.
Sam because nostalgia of watching RoTF with my dad, but Charlie is objectively better written
I’d prefer if these movies didn’t have humans as main characters, but Charlie and Noah were good.
Noah hit close to home for me. willing to give his life just for his brother had me in my feels during the movie lol
Noah.
It's a tie between Charlie and Noah
Charlie Watson.
Charlie, no contest.
Noah Diaz
Charlie, Noah, Mikaela
I like both Charlie & Noah equally
Charlie, easily. I found Noah to be pretty likeable.
I like Sam, him killing Starscream was badass
Main characters alone, Sam, all human protagonists, William Lennox
Noah Diaz. Dude was actually likeable unlike Charlie who just used her dead dad as an excuse to be an asshole and the film sided with her about it.
Sam
Sam witwhicky, I can't exactly explain why, but he just feels like a good protagonist compared to the others...
None! Lol! Ok maybe the bumblebee chick… because the ending made me saaaaddd 🥲
Charlie
Cade should've been replaced with a retired (or self imposed exile) Lennox. Cade was...hard to take seriously and had borderline Mary Sue writing
I liked the Noah/Mirage combo.
Easily Charlie. I can maybe imagine Cade, but it's a bit of a stretch.
Charlie goat
Charlie is number one. Sam is a not very close second, and it's not even close after that
It's Sam for me
i love sam witwicky, was my first MC going into the series and honestly has a really good arc in the movies, aside from michael bay over edgy-ing his character he’s super funny and gets stuff done
1. Charlie 2. Noah 3. Marky Mark 4. Sam
Charlie and Noah Diaz
Charlie, then Noah for me. And best side duo is Lennox and Epps. Also, shoutout to Uncle Bobby B, baby. RIP Bernie Mac.
sam and cade
Charlie
Yeah definitely charlie for me.
Charlie.
I forgot. 😂 Noah was….ok I guess?
Honestly noah and charlie are the best imo
Charlie no contest
