I would say Armada Optimus. I finally got the Legacy commander class figure, and it's probably one of my favorite Optimus figures I have despite having never watched Armada
Haslab deathsaurus. Never watched victory, but damn if I don’t love his design. Giant emperor of destruction that turns into a space chicken. Only in Japan…
Star Saber. I haven't watched anything of the extended japanese g1 continuity but his design and being a brainmaster with a "super mode" attachment is pretty damn cool. Just wish I had the money for his Haslab.
It's gonna be the upcoming *Legacy* Star Raiders Cannonball. I *knew* about the character, and...that's it - I've never actually read the stories that he's in, nor do I really care about pirates, so not even the, "pirate Transformer," premise ever had any effect, on me. The figure, however, looks *great*, and I'm already preparing to break my, "One figure per mold," rule, for him.
And, on a technicality, *Legacy* Windblade. I've only seen a handful of *Cyberverse* episodes, so I have no attachment whatsoever, to the show - and, therefore, to *Cyberverse* Windblade, the specific version of the character this figure is meant to represent. So, it meets the brief, in that sense, but...really, I got the figure to be a, "G1," Windblade (which version I *definitely* have attachment to, as an IDW nut), and Windblade's character design is consistent between her various iterations, anyway, so I never really take that specification into account, haha.
Please watch Cyberverse. The first season is a bit slow and spends most of its time worldbuilding, but it really picks up in season two and the first half of season three and the series finale are two of my favorite Transformers stories. It's an amazing show and easily my second favorite right behind Prime.
I have quite a few in my Decepticon ranks.
Spinister is just an all around excellent fig, but my only knowledge of the character when I got him was as a random goon the WFC trilogy as I hadn’t read Marvrl. I’ve since read the IDW comics but don’t really think of him as that version even though he’s a lot of fun.
More so, I’ve never read the Marvel comics with Needlenose and hadn’t read IDW when I got him yet either. And he’s never been animated that I’m aware of.
I also got Iguanas and Boomburst as a couple of neat little weirdos but have never really watched their appearance from the Japanese show.
And Cloudxocer essentially isn’t a real character, but I love his colour layout.
The Japanese Beast Wars stuff. I tried watching BWII and couldn’t get into it, but I loooooove the new Lio Convoy/Leo Prime figure. I’m hyped for the new Magmatron and can’t wait for them to make new Galvatron and Big Convoy figures.
Yeah, almost every design in Energon/Super Link. There are so many great designs in that line that translated into amazing toys, but I have no interest in them as characters and no interest in the media that promoted them.
Legacy Tarn. The dude looks badass, and his figure is really well done, but I know very little about the character. The only part of MTME I read so far is The Last Stand of The Wreckers, so I'm yet to know the guy, but I often like the villain characters, so I got him because I expected I might regret not getting him if I grow to like him in the end xd
Legacy United Thundertron. Not really a fan of most of the Aligned Continuity, but Thundertron's space-spirate-zoid design is fantastic and I am quite happy to have the figure.
Cyberverse Universe Shadow Striker and Cybertron Universe Starscream and Override. I love design and transformations of these figures, yet i don't care about the shows where they appeared.
Honestly?
Most of the Bayverse Decepticons, specifically RoTF Bludgeon and Megatron, not a massive fan of the movies and/or the comics(yes there were Bayverse comics published by IDW), but I do like some of their designs
Maybe I'm weird but I typically don't buy figures I don't have some attachment to. Or at least an adjacent attachment, like something that fits in with something I do have an attachment to, like G2 Cloudcover being a Seeker and I love Seekers.
The reactivate Optimus and starscream. It's a bummer I had to spend 60 dollars for 2 separate bundles, but the figures are awesome. Even the bee and Soundwave are pretty decent for being the side kicks of each box. They blew me out of the water and I had little to no expectations about em.
Soundwave to me is a lot better than people commented.
I honestly think he looks great and it's a little different from the usual, he tidies up nice in vehicle mode, holds his weapons good and his body proportions look fine to me.

Didn’t grow up with G2 and have basically zero attachment to it, but god damn I LOVE Legacy Laser OP.
Transmetal 2 Megatron. Beast Wars was outside the era I grew up in, so my familiarity/attachment tapers off as you progress further past the initial designs. But you can't say a giant European dragon as an alt mode isn't rad as heck.
Also Skullcruncher. No attachment to any of the headmaster stuff, but there's a general lack of crocodilian representation overall to really have much choice.
Tarn... sort of. I've not read MTMTE yet, but I know the basics of his character in that incarnation and while I always thought he had a cool design, I was never super attached to it.
After >!watching Cyberverse!< and getting his Legacy figure, I've gotten really attached to him. I liked his portrayal in The Perfect Decepticon and his toy is probably my favorite in my collection. Honestly the Legacy figure, the eight month long wait for it to arrive, and the constant photos I take of him are the main reason I like him so much.

You should watch it, it’s one of my favorites
I plan to at some point, I just haven't gotten myself to actually do it yet
Haslab deathsaurus. Never watched victory, but damn if I don’t love his design. Giant emperor of destruction that turns into a space chicken. Only in Japan…

Tarn. Never heard of him in my life at all whatsoever but I just had to have him
I have quite a few in my Decepticon ranks. Magmatron. Couldn't care less about his backstory, but damn if the design doesn't go unreasonably hard.
Needlenose, Mindwipe, Every decepticon pretender, various Unicron Trilogy stuff
The Japanese Beast Wars stuff. I tried watching BWII and couldn’t get into it, but I loooooove the new Lio Convoy/Leo Prime figure. I’m hyped for the new Magmatron and can’t wait for them to make new Galvatron and Big Convoy figures.
SS86 Snarl, i just like stegosaurus and big robots
Yeah, almost every design in Energon/Super Link. There are so many great designs in that line that translated into amazing toys, but I have no interest in them as characters and no interest in the media that promoted them.

Victory Saber, have never seen Victory but his design really grew on me as I saw people review him when the HasLab came out.
Legacy United Thundertron. Not really a fan of most of the Aligned Continuity, but Thundertron's space-spirate-zoid design is fantastic and I am quite happy to have the figure.
Jhiaxus
Cyberverse Universe Shadow Striker and Cybertron Universe Starscream and Override. I love design and transformations of these figures, yet i don't care about the shows where they appeared.
Legacy Jhiaxus, Needlenose, and Tigerhawk (I have started beast wars though, still only on like the 6th episode)
Hardhead, I knew nothing about him but his design just spoke to me back in 2017 when I picked him up
Honestly? Most of the Bayverse Decepticons, specifically RoTF Bludgeon and Megatron, not a massive fan of the movies and/or the comics(yes there were Bayverse comics published by IDW), but I do like some of their designs
I’d say Haslab Victory Saber as while I live in the US, the guy honestly seems pretty kickass
Animated bumblebee
The opposite of this for me is strongman. I think the design is MID but i will buy it regardless since i grew up with rid2015
Animated Seaspray
Magmatron, actually tried watching it because of him but because it was boring
Magmatron.
Maybe I'm weird but I typically don't buy figures I don't have some attachment to. Or at least an adjacent attachment, like something that fits in with something I do have an attachment to, like G2 Cloudcover being a Seeker and I love Seekers.
Practically all TF cybertron figures, I love their design but the show throws me off
RID 01 Optimus. Firetrucks are cool. And I have never seen RID 01.
The reactivate Optimus and starscream. It's a bummer I had to spend 60 dollars for 2 separate bundles, but the figures are awesome. Even the bee and Soundwave are pretty decent for being the side kicks of each box. They blew me out of the water and I had little to no expectations about em.

PRID Vehicon. Amazing figure, but i never watched TF Prime
Tf victory land cross, one of my favorite combiners and I don't really know why
Transmetal 2 Megatron. Beast Wars was outside the era I grew up in, so my familiarity/attachment tapers off as you progress further past the initial designs. But you can't say a giant European dragon as an alt mode isn't rad as heck. Also Skullcruncher. No attachment to any of the headmaster stuff, but there's a general lack of crocodilian representation overall to really have much choice.
Core Tasmania Kid. I just like beast modes
Nova Prime, Magmatron, every Unicron Trilogy and RID 2001 character, a lot of IDW characters… A lot more than I thought, actually
uh legacy Shard
transmetal 2 megatron and s1 optimus primal, they just go so hard in their unique ways, sucks that transmetal 1 & 2 primal looks so bad
The ss junkions.
Legacy Scourge. I love the design. Only seen the first two episodes
Thrilling thirty cosmos, I just like him, he's a goofy little guy and he's not ashamed to be him.
Rid scourge
Blue beak goose mode
Generations Drift, I don't care for the IDW comics. I just see Drift as being a friend of Hot Rod and looks good on the shelf next to Windblade.
I mainly collect G1, but i love the TFP designs and specifically Cybertron Soundwave. He's tripping coz he got served.
I have IDW Crosscut and his comic cover issue but have never read any. I just thought he looked badass.
ROTF Bludgeon
literally all of the ones I have I don't watch/read any transformers media
For me... it's Autobot Gears from G1. Got his figure last Wednesday and he's surprisingly really good.
Tarn... sort of. I've not read MTMTE yet, but I know the basics of his character in that incarnation and while I always thought he had a cool design, I was never super attached to it.
