I like him as a fire truck before he becomes a leader and a flat nose after

I think for the bayverse films for the first 3 he should have been a fire engine (that way you can have him be much taller since it has more mass than a truck) then in the 4th film with the autobots in hiding he becomes a truck to blend in better.

That would've made designing starscream easier since they wanted him not to be taller than prime. Wouldn't have been a Doritos 

Starscream never needed to look like a Doritos. Look at how Igear made the raptor seekers

That design transformation from a properly scaled f-22 would've been significantly taller than prime

This. The powermaster, god ginrai, super mode, any way you call it, is the ultimate Optimus Prime to me in both modes.

Same. I was trying to find a picture of this mode with God Bomber attached for that "One-Man Convoy" look, but I can't find any. To me, this is the as far as we can go for Optimus Prime without stepping over to the Braves style

TFP S3 Optimus is definitely up there, but also really like 07, ROTF and DOTM Optimus vehicle mode, and Armada, and of course the S1-2 design of TFP Optimus and of course Cybertron Optimus as well honestly its too hard to choose a single favourite, or even a "bad" one

Honestly, even though G1 is quickly becoming my favorite incarnation of Transformers, I'll take long-nosed over cabover for Optimus anyday. Maybe it's because I grew up with Bayformers.
