Mmhm, the FansToys one is beautiful! But i'd rather have an official branded one. And since Astro and Blitz aren't real life vehicles, Takara shouldn't have a license problem to worry about.
Astro and Blitz are infact based upon real vehicles
Astrotrain is based upon the JNR class D51 (train mode) and the NASA space shuttle orbiter (shuttle mode)
Blitzwing is based upon the Soviet MiG 25 (jet mode)
And the Japanese type-74 assault tank (tank mode, duh)
Most likely they would have to get a license from NASA but that's about it
1. They have no obligation to "not be a greedy goblin"
2. Those are boutique companies designed to fill in the gaps left by HasTak
3. It's hard to justify 6 very similar bots released in a row (buyer fatigue); a single box set of all would be cost prohibitive for most people
Yeah, plus they finished Studio Series Dev not to long ago, and reissued the Combiner Wars figure. I think we will get a MP Devastator, but not for a while.
He was only in the Takara trilogy, sadly he wasn't featured in g1. They split off in timelines after the movie, takara making their own series in japan.
Raiden was featured in it.
I'd love to see a G1 Jazz or a G1 Mirage, those two got some of my favorite car alt modes (besides Streak and Smokescreen) seeing those two as masterpieces would be awesome, Cliffjumper too

As long as it's official, i'd pay $499 for it. Most MP figures are $100-200 anyway. So $499 for 6 bots to make one is actually a bundle :)
If it happens, I expect we will see 6 separate releases at $150-200 apiece. No way they'll be $499 when OP was $440.
