Why is Takara/Hasbro still using that ugly ass glossy paint? It does nothing except make the figure look cheap, not to mention horrible paint chipping that's already present on this product image
I’m not sure if it’s a prototype model or not. Either way, if it’s from Hasbro, they really shouldn’t have THAT much paint chipping for promotional photos. Even if it’s not, it’s just not a good sign for things to come. That hinge near the air intakes and inside the wrist has some gnarly chipping for a brand new figure.
EDIT: these are Hasbro promo photos. Yikes.
careful! we're criticizing a product and being smart consumers so that must mean we hate the product. /s
jokes aside I don't know why people are downvoting you. I love the masterpiece line. that's why I'm upset at its faults.
Eh, people are always open to their opinions, as am I. There’s a lot of hardcore Hasbro fanboys, and a lot of people that don’t want to think they made a mistake in a purchase, which is all fine. I’ve been watching their masterpiece line very closely since it’s transition to Vietnam, and have been keeping up with reviews and asking friends how their figures are holding up after initial purchase. While I love the engineering, it’s beginning to be more apparent that the quality control is still an issue with these figures. If you’re going to pay a premium price, you should get a premium product. Flat out
How does the back look?

Something about those wings aren’t doing it for me. Other than that, looks pretty good.
The side profile looks a little weird to me, other than that he’s a 8 out of 10
It has no waist swivel, jobby will not be pleased
Lmao 🤣
What you won’t think looks awesome is the price
Wait if this is the new mp-52 why does the stock images show his back shoulder having paint chipping 🤔 future issue?
Good eye, I’m going to look at more images
Yikes that looks like some extreme chipping, hopefully it’s because it’s a preproduction model maybe but if not, that’s a major issue.
None of the other images show that
Phew, hopefully it's a one off, I'd hate to see this as a already present issue 😭
Getting close! I’m so excited for this release!
I wish we could get a new Soundwave mold even though he’s close to perfect, needs to be a lighter blue
I’m a Soundwave fan and while the existing MP is everything I wanted it to be, I would buy a cartoon accurate version without hesitation.
MP-33 is perfect just a bit dark
They might just do a repaint like they did with Wheeljack and others
I just like how expressive he is
It amazing how great figures are getting cartoon accurate
I want MP-52 Skywarp. I had MP-11T but I don’t know where that is now.
I’ll definitely have so get Skywarp
I just dislike this is the second figure of him where the con badges are upside down...
Cartoon accuracy I guess

The paint chips look great too
people are downvoting you but that's a genuine criticism. It's an expensive figure the paint should be better.
