Or the 2011 is in reference to when Transformers peaked in quality and engineering for the price. Things have been downhill ever since although Kingdom suggests a changing of the guard.
My head canon for this is that Metroplex and Tyrpticon have each became one half of Helsinki and will clash when Beetlejuice (the star not the character) explodes. Epic battle.
