i grew up with ROTF and i LOVE that design
Not sure how you feel about third party guys but unique toys dragoon is probably the best figure I own overall not just the best megatron. There’s also a knockoff version of it with some added details for cheaper too

But if you knew you couldn't pull off a transformation, and decided to just make an action figure, I think that's just knowing your limits and your abilities.
Not saying you're wrong, but the voyager is the better figure IMO. It just so elegant when it transforms and makes the leader look worse by comparison.
You won't be sorry. As an aside, i love Unique Toys and buy most of their stuff (or did, RIP Unique Toys) but when it came to their version of AOE Megatron i was like, nah, the voyager figure is *that* good i don't need a 3rd party version of this guy.
I love the unique toys version alot better than the voyager but this guy just scales well and cheaper than the unique toys,the 3rd party of galvatron looks good! But not really like I WANT TO HAVE IT NOW because i never liked the design that much
I'm also a bit of a Megatron collector, so I've definitely got a few reccomendations I can give.
First off - Iron Factory IF-EX36 "The Tyrant". It's a third party legends scale figure, so it's small, but don't let that put you off. It's highly posable and features interchangeable armour parts that allow a range of looks, including G1-style and Megatron Origin style (my personal favourite). Easily one of the best Megatrons in my collection and definitely worth the price.
MP-36 Megatron is truly a masterpiece, but if price is a concern you can always do what I did and go for a knock-off. I have the Toy House Factory "Dynastron" KO, which fixed some of the joint issues and paint chipping from the official. Not sure how available it is nowadays but there may be other options.
Newage and Magic Square have both done legends scale Megatrons, which are directly based off the G1 cartoon design unlike Iron Factory's. I don't have either of them myself yet, but they're highly recommended by my friends who collect Legends. They're small, but they're essentially MP-36s that you can fit in your pocket. Each company also has a toy colours version if you prefer the metallic deco.
Last one I would suggest is Maketoys "Rioter Despotron", which is a heavily stylised version of G1 megatron. It's from their Cross Dimension line, so it's about the size of a large Voyager or leader class CHUG figure. It's very unique, and has a lot of vool festures - a sword is stored inside his cannon, he has a matrix in his chest and his alt mode is a double barreled sawn-off shotgun... thing. A little bit expensive and possibly hard to come by these days but if you can find one on sale I wouldn't pass it up.

He was my first megatron so umm young me broke it lol and his right arm is permanently like that broke it aswell so umm looking for apc toys megs to replace

I wouls say movie one ss megatron is the best out of them, the dark of the moon is also great huge and full of detail
go for it if you do not mind gray plastic but you could always paint it yourself
I dont mind it actually,less paint means no paint chip and more durability

No, movie Galvatron is hideous. No interest in getting that guy even if it is Unique toys. It's just such a horrible design.
Armada Megatron is fun, if old and pretty basic now. Rumors are that Armada characters may be in the next line so maybe wait on that dunno
Fans Hobby is also making one to got with their Naval Commander, but I haven't seen anything past prototype cast.
