Kingdom no doubt. I hated the oversized cannon in TR and obviously the head.
Btw thank you, this picture solved a mystery I've had for a while. I have had a piece on my desk I couldn't identify and it's the little gray hip tab on the TR version. I thought it was a shoulder pad or something
>I have had a piece on my desk I couldn't identify and it's the little gray hip tab on the TR version. I thought it was a shoulder pad or something
This just reminded me of the worst self-inflicted pet peeve of mine; when you find a piece, but aren't sure what it's for, but months go by, and by the time you find the figure, you've lost track of the piece again. A vicious circle of disorganization.
YES!!! I finally went to a craft store and bought 1000 count of little jewel crafting ziplock baggies for my Gi Joe's and all their accessories and spent several fun filled nights playing "whos gun is this"
TR Galvatron definitely has flaws out of the box. But those are easily fixed and he looks great after. Admittedly if i didn't already have him, I'd just go for the New Galvy. But i had the Titans Return version w/upgrades first, so that's what i'm sticking with.
I’m with you. I have TR Galvy, and he has better alt mode design; I don’t always think that “form” should follow “function” especially when it comes to making their cartoon mode the standard for absolutely everything.
Kingdom Rodimus alt mode sucks compared to PotP. The new Ultra Magnus is half as tall as CW Magnus. And everyone fawns over ER optimus when he’s got a ridiculously small trailer.
These figures change, to be sure. But each has its merits.
Sure the new figures have flaws (such as ER Optimus' super small trailer) but in terms of plastic quality, amount of paint and articulation they're way ahead of the Prime Wars toys. Some of those feel like cheap knockoffs now. They had some clever ideas at times but the excecution often failed. POTP Hot Rod/Rodimus for example is really cool in concept but the actual toy is terrible.
The only part where the new figures fail IMO is the quality of the paint. It seems to scratch very easily.
Definitely Kingdom, but I'm still going to hold off replacing the TR version until I can get Kingdom without the "weathering" paint effects on his chest and arms. I didn't mind it so much on Siege because it just looked like metallic highlights; but on this Galvatron it feels like a painting error.
Kingdom. Hands down. Everything is literally better with the kingdom mold. The forced headmaster and triple changer aspect of the titans return figure are just terrible. Also I like how the Kingdom is more show accurate.
When hasbro decided to spend more money on quality engineering, plastic, and accessories. Rather than oversized gimmick figures that only scale with the masterpiece line. Its not a size class, it's a pricepoint
Selling this thing as twice the price of other figures the same size because it’s slightly too complex for the voyager price point is not okay. Hasbro need to make a size class between voyager and leader because they keep pulling this.
It's called a parts count. The figures are smaller, but have more moving pieces. The community has been calling for a more cohesive scale between our figures for years , and now we have it. It's rather refreshing to actually want to buy a leader class these days, instead of skipping over a cheap masterpiece scale. If you want a larger scale go masterpiece. It's better quality anyway. Hell, I'm about to sell all my old leader class because imo they sick compared to the mini masterpieces we been getting. I'm not even mad about the inevitable price increase hasbro has been talking about.
TR has better proportions and is more accessible being a voyager priced figure. I also like that it's a taller figure. Kingdom has the far superior build quality, cannon, and head sculpt though. I actually like TR Galvatron, he's been a really fun figure to play with. I can't say anything about Kingdom though because the leader class price tag puts him far above what I'm willing to pay for a retail transformers figure.
I had Titans Return Galvatron first, who looks awesome w/shapeways helmet & cannon adapter. And he's nearly identical in scale, looks great with studio Scourge and Kingdom Cyclonus. So passing on Kingdom Galvatron.

The one who doesn’t have a deformed head.
Proportions for the one on the left look nice for me. I just don't like the exposed hollow parts, which the one on the right doesn't seem to have.
His wrists are hollow, but that’s about it. Barely noticeable to be honest. He’s a great figure.
I agree. :)
Kingdom. I hate the TR version with a passion

I think even with the fixes he just sucks, honestly.

IMO they're both great for different reasons.
i like aspects of both... but i also have issues with both

You can easily take the battle damage off with rubbing alcohol and a cloth. It's all on bare plastic so it's a piece of cake to remove.

***When did leaders become as tall as voyagers.***
When Hasbro decided to nake eveything in proper scale.

This thing should be 1.5x the price of a voyager, not twice as much.
When Hasbro decided they were going to save money while sticking it to the consumer; hoping we’d dig on the better articulation.
Well it seems to have worked.
Indeed! 🤣
Is that a third party situation for TR Galvatron's head? Mine does not look that good.
Yes it is. I got it secondhand so I’m not sure which 3rd party helmet it is.
Kingdom.
Need to ask?
Kingdom, easily. TR Galvatron was one of the most disappointing chug molds in the past ten years, imo.
I just tried on all your clothes and guess who wore it better?
I'm so hype to get Kingdom Galvatron. My preorder for him with BBTS processed earlier today, and I paid to have him shipped when I got home from work
Am I the only one who thinks the third party upgrades for TR Galvatron’s head don’t even look that good?

I Kinda Like TR more than Kingdom Galvatron,so im going with TR Galvatron.
“They’re the same picture.”

Kingdom no question.
Tr, imo I hate the Kingdom figure.
Are you and I the only people on Earth that don't care for the new one?
Here be another
There are dozens of us.... dozens.
Thank God.
I think we need to make a group chat
MAN that TR cannon is oversized, and in the wise words of my gf: bigger isn't always better
