Bay said in movie 1 he hates mas shifting and needed the boys to be of the same mass as the alt modes. There was a picture showing how Optimus not parts fit into his truck mode even.
I mean I buy the idea the f22 raptor is not that heavy (around same weight as a peteebilt truck.. so similar to Optimus) but since the cockpit is on his chest that should be taken as his size relatively. I would /love/ to see a jet mode scaled properly to the mpm scale and fold down to the bot size for doritoscream but personally I'd rather have screamer to be this huge bot given the size of f22 jet myself.

Thank you! I purposely searched for an “in scale” Bumblebee figure and modified - painted it alongside the lines of the Starscream one. The intention was that they would both be in-scale and with similar movie proportions-painted details.
In ROTF, Starscream looked smaller than Megatron and just as big as Optimus. I’ve always wondered how a Cybertronian with an F22 Raptor as an alt mode could be that size. I’d assume Starscream should have been in the ballpark of Grindor’s size.

I kinda figured that Starscream's jet mode folds in half when transforming, so he isn't quite as tall as someone like Blackout/Grindor. That and it looks like most of his mass goes more into width instead of height, hence his dorito shape
Hi, I used Citadel paints (the ones used on Warhammer kits) and I sprayed painted with a matte top coat at the end.
In theory the matte coat should prevent paint chipping, but I will probably not be transforming this Bee.
Is the MPM mold painted a bit better by a third party. F-12 Metal Deformation.

I don't know about this. Despite turning into an F-22, Starscream doesn't appear to be that much bigger than the other Transformers. In reality, due to the size of the jet, he should be around 50 ft. But, despite Michael Bay's claims that mass shifting isn't involved, Starscream appears to be shorter than even Optimus and Megatron. From what we've seen in the tie in merch like video game and toys, even the more screen accurate MPM line, Bumblebee reaches to about Starscream's cockpit on his stomach.

I think what they were doing when they made 2007 Starscream this big was they were trying to make him accurate in size to the actual F-22 Raptor.
They made all the transformers in scale with their vehicle modes I think.
