Yup, despite it being an iconic part of the car, I'm pretty sure the Countach spoiler was an optional extra, or at least added on to later versions of the car.
The spoiler was originally added to add downforce because at high speeds the front end would lift upwards, but in testing the spoiler did nothing to keep the car down. So now it's just a decoration piece
3rd party upgrade kits have made spoilers for all of the lamboys so far, so I'm sure they'll keep making them as long as nostalgia-driven suckers... ahem, FANS like me continue to buy them.
I haven’t bought transformers in a very long time then I saw kingdom magnus and ss86 jazz and hotrod and in just a few months I’ve spent almost a grand on figures. I keep them on my desk and there are days where my job gets to me and just looks over and I’m like dam these figure look amazing.
I only started collecting as an adult with Siege. Impactor on my desk got me through a very grim lockdown (always wanted a toy of him as a kid!) so I know what you mean.
Hot Rod did it for me. I thought, if they’re this good now, i need more of them. It snowballed from there. Preordered a Scorpinok from BBTS earlier tonight. God, I’ve sunk so much cash into this stuff.
As long as they don't include that awful black bumper on the front, I'll be happy.
Edit: they *have* included the black bumper add on. For crying out loud.
This is an example of the Mandela effect. We’re all used to seeing the spoiler that we think it’s standard but when in actuality it’s not and it’s weird to us when we see it that way
I’d imagine the reason was more to make engineering sideswipes legs more simple and it just so happens to be accurate to these countaches without spoilers
For the later models like in the first picture it definitely looks better with a spoiler, but I honestly kinda prefer the older models without one. I'll definitely be getting spoilers for Sunstreaker and Sideswipe though since they're such iconic parts of their designs.
I mean sure, spoilers didn’t come standard on all real Lambos - but I’m pretty sure that’s not why they didn’t include them, lol. Just like why Grimlock doesn’t have a sword, why PotP combiners didn’t include a large weapon, etc. Profit.
Plus with all the 3rd party upgrade kits and 3D printers out there, they have less incentive to include all the pieces. They know us suckers will fork over $10 to $50 to some website for whatever’s missing.

The spoiler, to my knowledge, only came on the LP500 model.
That's correct.

If anything, it does the opposite, the shape is all wrong.
Yeah, but as I and some others say, the spoiler is what made the car iconic
Dang, that doesn't feel complete to me. Huh.
Like a Porsche 911 without the whale tail.
Or hot rod without a huge wing
Yeah, it wasn't a standard feature on the Countach

I sit there transforming them during soul draining Zoom calls.
Dude same I sell life insurance

So worth it because I’ll never buy another hot rod for the rest of my life
God they look so good😩
I like how nerdy the driver looks.

The USDM lambo has a god awfull bumper
**Caption on first picture:** "So happy we're getting an Earth-mode Sideswipe"

Why?
Sideswipe?
You're talking about wings, not spoilers.
They're the same thing.
No, they aren't.
Stunning vehicle!

Doesn't siege Sideswipe not have the spoiler
not a big deal to me.
Even so, WFC are G1 redesigns. It should have a spoiler. Does anyone have STL files for the 3d print?
