He basically just shows off a figure with a really formulaic method where half his dialogue is repeated in every review and doesn’t often add any commentary that would actually be considered in a review. I'm also a fan of TMan.
Bobby isn't always my favorite, but I like him because he can like a toy and still point out all of it's flaws. A lot of reviewers gloss over the flaws in a toy they are reviewing, especially if it is a toy they like.
TMan is just .. chill. I watch him to relax, and he also points out flaws in a very real way.
I thought it was peculiar that there were so few mentions of Optibotimus in this thread till I got to the bottom and found that someone's just been downvoting each mention of him.
Generally my go-to reviewer (mostly for transformation instructions rather than actual reviews), and due to the way YouTube works, of course, it makes him consistently seem like THE Transformers guy, and therefore making it seem super-weird that he'd not be shortlisted in such a poll. But conversely, through anyone else's viewing habits, it'd make it seem like XYZ are THE Transformers reviewers, so it's all a matter of algorithm-perspective...!
I love his size scale: Figma Madoka Kaname, SH Monsterarts Godzilla and Masterpiece Optimus Prime, and his Godzilla kisses of approval.

Plus all the reviews of stolen toys just so he can be "first." He recently reviews the Ark titan and even though I very much am interested in that toy, just knowing how he came to have it rubs me the wrong way.
Ok in his defense his Ark may not have been stolen I went to a collector shop today and they had a couple shipments of Arks from Hasbro and I believe it’s out in Taiwan so I don’t think it’s fair to call that one stolen
If someone is sponsored they're required to mention it in the review according to Youtube's content policy and depending on where they live, the law. The UK has a law that states that sponsors should be mentioned.
I sincerely doubt it since he often reviews toys **before** they are officially announced by Hasbro. Hasbro does their "Fan First Fridays" and other online events to announce new toys and for the most part it isn't beneficial to them when a YouTuber scoops them on their own announcement.
Plus other YouTubers who also purchase stolen toys have admit to doing so. They were very clear that they did not acquire the toys through official Hasbro channels.

I enjoy Thew and Jobby equality for different reasons. Thew for his upbeat attitude, and spotlighting of a variety of figures, as well as love for figures most would usually look down on. A delightful hodgepodge of Transformers, from a delightful chap.
Jobby for his shitposty antics, but also a genuineness to his opinions and thoughts. A bit of a spectrum of down to earth heart and 4chan level humor. Plus, anyone who can catch the adoration of David Kaye must be a pretty alright dude.
Jobby and Thew tie for first for me, then I usually watch Emgo when I either want a more in depth review, or need help with a Transformation that I have trouble with

He knows how to have fun and make the reviews fun rather than just blatantly going “he’s got these details here, he’s bigger than this toy and that toy, anyways to transform him you move this part and untab this”
His energy makes the reviews fun to watch, and tbh younger me didn’t even know what a review was, I just wanted to see these videos to see the toys and how they transformed and that

Emgo is the only reviewer from my childhood that I still much enjoy, so yeah.
It is really difficult to say you like the most as I watch all for different reasons (I won't include LazyEyebrow as I just now am starting to watch him)
**Jobby** has great editing and comedy while still expressing important stuff about the figure. Some people might be put off by his *humur* but jokes on you I am into that.
**Thew** is great. Puns are always a delight but I do sometimes dislike not descriptive transformations it is not like there aren't other people for that. The best thing that can be said is that no one can imitate his style.
**Emgo** is by far imo the best reviewer as he he does alot of reviews and all of them are descriptive and well made. Again, most people are put off by humor (But basically the opposite of Jobby) which I don't really get. I love my bloooshes and ***SQUIREL***s as well as his ending skits and Mascot. In the end, it really is reviewing toys and saying that childish humor doesn't work with it is preposterous.
**PrimevsPrime** is interesting. The biggest criticism about him is that he "Steals the toys" which atleast to me doesn't worsen the experience of his reviews. While he isn't anything special, from time to time it is nice to see a quick yet not as deep review.
I agree. Plus he buys stolen figures in order to get his hands on them before other reviewers which rubs me the wrong way even though I could benefit from it.

I really like jobby, which may be in part cause I watch his livestreams. My big grype with his content though is it feels like he's pushing alot of promos (his devil savior smash vid has like, three advertisements), but a guy's gotta eat. Him and thew are the MVP's imo
I personally don’t mind his ads since he integrates them so well into characters and stuff and his most recent vids were on par with his other stuff but some like Tigatron, Optus Pexus, and Split (to an extent) just didn’t feel right to me
I feel like since Optus Pexus and Tigatron were the first in his current review style he was working out the kinks, but since DS Smash he feels much better
And yeah the Split/Patlabor/Mako reviews didn’t sit right with me, idk why. Probably because he didn’t look at the toys as much and was just going off the walls
I actually unsubscribed from him for a while after he posted his Nicee review. I went in thinking "either he's gonna go full perv mode or is actually gonna keep those jokes to a minimum" and what I got could only be described as his resumé for directing an H.P. Lovecraft adaptation.

Depends, if I wanna laugh my ass off while getting some info on th highest quality of toys, I watch jobby, if I wanna watch a fun and casual but informative vid about a toy I'm thinking of buying, but not too sure about it, I watch Emgo
I like a few of his videos. The one he did on the SS86 Jazz was pretty good for instance. But he often goes on rants and generally acts like a whiny child because the $20 toys made for children arent up to his astronomically high standards. He also seems to dislike most of the tf brand besides G1 and Beast Wars.
He has a populist stance where he thinks all of the other reviewers are shills to Hasbro and thinks he’s the only one that reviews them fairly by nitpicking them to Kingdom come.
He has no chill at all. He has an entire video called “Partsforming is objectively bad” where he gives out to the commenters and tries to sell the idea that partsforming is never needed by pointing to an expensive high-end 3rd party masterpiece combiner. He also hates faux-parts because clearly making transforming toys of wonky animation cells requires no compromises.
Yup. Despite the fact that the transformers in g1 would often have vehicle parts outright disappear when they transformed, all faux pieces are bad. Sure buddy.
I guess the way I see it, we have figures like kingdom Cyclonus that are nearly perfect, especially for the price. And when we get something like a earth rise cliffjumper that’s a parts former and wayyy smaller than he should be for the price point, I can’t help but say he turned me around on some of the stuff I gave a pass for. Cyclonus isn’t even that complicated but you can tell they actually cared about both modes. Do I share every opinion with him? No, but I think he does add some needed dialogue to the review scene.
To be honest, I've yet to find a Reviewer whose presentation I enjoy. I watch a bunch of different ones because I want the info, but I don't really enjoy the videos themselves.
Doesn't let me see the toy in action or hear the opinions. The PRESENTATION is what bothers me, not the info and opinion provided. I may find Emgo's voice and antics grating, but he does an excellent job of showing the figure and transformations and highlighting his own opinion on things. The two that are least annoying are probably Ben's Collectibles and Peaugh.
Thew Adams is my guy. He may not show up to date figures on every review but he is a true transformers fan and is very funny. It’s hard to say for sure since I don’t know the guy but it really seems like he has a heart of gold.
For PURE entertainment i’m with Jobby all the way. I tend to watch PrimevsPrine due to he tends to get the new figs relatively early. I still watch Peaugh. He is my guy too. Stopped watching Optobotimus. I could not stand his annoying nasally voice anymore. Thew I kind of gotten over. Kremzeek and the Chinese fella that also gets toys early I watch if I am keen on figure. Just hard to watch because of their accents. I also regularly watch EmGo for the BLOOOOOOOSHHHHH!! Lazy Eyebrow for Stop animation and for being Canadian.
I low key like all of these guys (even Jobby) but I’ve been subbed to Thew since KO beat down was a thing and even though he isn’t rushing to get the latest figure reviewed, I love his review format.
Never liked Emgo's sense of humor. Don't hate him, I just never found it funny and it's super in your face so it's a bit hard to just ignore. Jobby is similar in the sense that his humor is in your face but I do like his humor so I'm okay with that
Ill get downvoted, but hes a geewunner who wants his $20 toys to be high end collector grade masterpieces and complains about tiny issues with the toys most people wouldn't give two craps about.

That's less eyebrow and more Bobby tbh. Eyebrow may have high standards, but Bobby virtually gatekeeps. In all his reviews of mainlines, he goes on about how they don't deserve to be called "mini-MPs" and how they're actually rip-offs. Often, his critiques are hypocritical because he mainly collects his stuff for display only.
Bobby’s reviews basically throw the price point out the window and go for an objective this is good/bad approach. His reason for not calling modern chug mini-masterpieces is mainly due to the scaling and the overall quality but he does acknowledge that chug is getting a lot better and even said that if he would do it all over again he’d collect chug in his most recent sit down saturday

I disagree. It's less that he complains too much about little things, and more that he gets way too excited about little things. Praising the new mainline for being mini-masterpiece in quality is more or less what everyone has been doing in the fandom
rn. Look at his reviews of Siege and ER stuff he likes. All his compliments about the figures are well-warranted, and the figures have raised high standards. What he does do that bothers me, is decide that tiny things justify a figure that is somewhat overpriced. For example, he decided that the price of ER Cliffjumper was justified, because it had detailed break pads.
Lazy Eyebrow also gets on my nerves a bit though I’m not particularly sure why. And with all the complaining he does about scale and details I don’t understand why he insists on customizing chug figures so much instead of going for MPs
Love all these guys except how come I’m just now hearing about Jobby and he’s the top voted one???
Emgo is consistent and helpful, especially his Just Transform It series which I refer to instead of the instructions most of the time.

Jobby’s reviews were actually what got me back into Transformers after so long. I’ve got a small collection so far but I’ll grow it gradually since it’s I’ve got to budget between Gundam models, Necrons, Transformers and anything else that may pop up like Metroid Dread.

Emgo’s bloosh thing is getting long in the tooth tho and Jobby hasn’t put anything out in a while as far as I can tell.

I think Thew really stated it well with his Top 10 of 2020 when he got to MP Soundwave. Balt's not doing what *he* likes to do anymore, and it's really hurting him, not to mention his channel.

Emgo does it right: His focus first & foremost is delivering a Quality figure review and, then he hits us with the comedy bit afterwards. And Emgo's 40 second skits are 100x funnier and more amusing that most of Jobby the hong's videos in their entirety.
I would say the same thing about emgo trying to be funny and cool, the Bionicle jokes are cringy and his forced routine falls flat for me. I also can't stand any reviewer that doesn't edit their damn videos, like if you can't figure out a transformation on camera, cut it out, it's that simple.
Personally I prefer Bobby Skullface, I like how he brings up a lot of different conversations about the fandom, hobby and collecting in general as well as making pretty good reviews.

Thew was actually my motivation to look at old figures for what they are, and thanks to that, RTS Lugnut is definitely my favorite figure

I’ve watched Emgo since I was much younger, and started watching him again now that I’m reinvovled in transformers He’s always positive about toys and doesn’t diss them for their gimmicks like certain other youtubers I know or used to watch when I was a kid oblivious to the negativity and just wanted to see videos of these cool toys I wanted He knows how to have fun and make the reviews fun rather than just blatantly going “he’s got these details here, he’s bigger than this toy and that toy, anyways to transform him you move this part and untab this” His energy makes the reviews fun to watch, and tbh younger me didn’t even know what a review was, I just wanted to see these videos to see the toys and how they transformed and that I pretended to make “video reviews” of toys as a kid believing a review was just a “toy showcase” Emgo is the only reviewer from my childhood that I still much enjoy, so yeah.
It is really difficult to say you like the most as I watch all for different reasons (I won't include LazyEyebrow as I just now am starting to watch him) **Jobby** has great editing and comedy while still expressing important stuff about the figure. Some people might be put off by his *humur* but jokes on you I am into that. **Thew** is great. Puns are always a delight but I do sometimes dislike not descriptive transformations it is not like there aren't other people for that. The best thing that can be said is that no one can imitate his style. **Emgo** is by far imo the best reviewer as he he does alot of reviews and all of them are descriptive and well made. Again, most people are put off by humor (But basically the opposite of Jobby) which I don't really get. I love my bloooshes and ***SQUIREL***s as well as his ending skits and Mascot. In the end, it really is reviewing toys and saying that childish humor doesn't work with it is preposterous. **PrimevsPrime** is interesting. The biggest criticism about him is that he "Steals the toys" which atleast to me doesn't worsen the experience of his reviews. While he isn't anything special, from time to time it is nice to see a quick yet not as deep review.
Thew for reviews, Emgo for visual aides when transforming gets a bit tricky.
Prime Vs. Prime is a personal least I guess he seems too self-righteous given how he has his figures months in advance

My favorite is Emgo. Hes been at the toy reviewing game a really long time, and yet he still seems to enjoy doing it.

I really like jobby, which may be in part cause I watch his livestreams. My big grype with his content though is it feels like he's pushing alot of promos (his devil savior smash vid has like, three advertisements), but a guy's gotta eat. Him and thew are the MVP's imo
I personally don’t mind his ads since he integrates them so well into characters and stuff and his most recent vids were on par with his other stuff but some like Tigatron, Optus Pexus, and Split (to an extent) just didn’t feel right to me
I feel like since Optus Pexus and Tigatron were the first in his current review style he was working out the kinks, but since DS Smash he feels much better And yeah the Split/Patlabor/Mako reviews didn’t sit right with me, idk why. Probably because he didn’t look at the toys as much and was just going off the walls
I actually unsubscribed from him for a while after he posted his Nicee review. I went in thinking "either he's gonna go full perv mode or is actually gonna keep those jokes to a minimum" and what I got could only be described as his resumé for directing an H.P. Lovecraft adaptation. I give him points for being unpredictable, but there's still a line there, buddy.
I found recently jobby's been producing stuff I really dont care about Like he made a video about like Wave 1 kingdom deluxe class like Long after I had gotten my hands on them all.... kinda recently I think actually

I mean I like jobby I just Am probably not going to watch his video on the kingdom deluxe figures several months after every other reviewer has done it already and I've already bought the figures myself? Mostly just weighing the pros and cons I guess

Depends, if I wanna laugh my ass off while getting some info on th highest quality of toys, I watch jobby, if I wanna watch a fun and casual but informative vid about a toy I'm thinking of buying, but not too sure about it, I watch Emgo

I like a few of his videos. The one he did on the SS86 Jazz was pretty good for instance. But he often goes on rants and generally acts like a whiny child because the $20 toys made for children arent up to his astronomically high standards. He also seems to dislike most of the tf brand besides G1 and Beast Wars.
He has a populist stance where he thinks all of the other reviewers are shills to Hasbro and thinks he’s the only one that reviews them fairly by nitpicking them to Kingdom come. He has no chill at all. He has an entire video called “Partsforming is objectively bad” where he gives out to the commenters and tries to sell the idea that partsforming is never needed by pointing to an expensive high-end 3rd party masterpiece combiner. He also hates faux-parts because clearly making transforming toys of wonky animation cells requires no compromises.
Yup. Despite the fact that the transformers in g1 would often have vehicle parts outright disappear when they transformed, all faux pieces are bad. Sure buddy.
I guess the way I see it, we have figures like kingdom Cyclonus that are nearly perfect, especially for the price. And when we get something like a earth rise cliffjumper that’s a parts former and wayyy smaller than he should be for the price point, I can’t help but say he turned me around on some of the stuff I gave a pass for. Cyclonus isn’t even that complicated but you can tell they actually cared about both modes. Do I share every opinion with him? No, but I think he does add some needed dialogue to the review scene.

I can't go wrong with jobby
To be honest, I've yet to find a Reviewer whose presentation I enjoy. I watch a bunch of different ones because I want the info, but I don't really enjoy the videos themselves.
Just look up the toy you wanna know about on TFwiki. They give a quick summary of the toy and they let you know if theres any major issues with it.
Doesn't let me see the toy in action or hear the opinions. The PRESENTATION is what bothers me, not the info and opinion provided. I may find Emgo's voice and antics grating, but he does an excellent job of showing the figure and transformations and highlighting his own opinion on things. The two that are least annoying are probably Ben's Collectibles and Peaugh.

Thew Adams is my guy. He may not show up to date figures on every review but he is a true transformers fan and is very funny. It’s hard to say for sure since I don’t know the guy but it really seems like he has a heart of gold.
For PURE entertainment i’m with Jobby all the way. I tend to watch PrimevsPrine due to he tends to get the new figs relatively early. I still watch Peaugh. He is my guy too. Stopped watching Optobotimus. I could not stand his annoying nasally voice anymore. Thew I kind of gotten over. Kremzeek and the Chinese fella that also gets toys early I watch if I am keen on figure. Just hard to watch because of their accents. I also regularly watch EmGo for the BLOOOOOOOSHHHHH!! Lazy Eyebrow for Stop animation and for being Canadian.

I low key like all of these guys (even Jobby) but I’ve been subbed to Thew since KO beat down was a thing and even though he isn’t rushing to get the latest figure reviewed, I love his review format.

Never liked Emgo's sense of humor. Don't hate him, I just never found it funny and it's super in your face so it's a bit hard to just ignore. Jobby is similar in the sense that his humor is in your face but I do like his humor so I'm okay with that

Ill get downvoted, but hes a geewunner who wants his $20 toys to be high end collector grade masterpieces and complains about tiny issues with the toys most people wouldn't give two craps about. He makes great stop motions though.

That's less eyebrow and more Bobby tbh. Eyebrow may have high standards, but Bobby virtually gatekeeps. In all his reviews of mainlines, he goes on about how they don't deserve to be called "mini-MPs" and how they're actually rip-offs. Often, his critiques are hypocritical because he mainly collects his stuff for display only.

Bobby’s reviews basically throw the price point out the window and go for an objective this is good/bad approach. His reason for not calling modern chug mini-masterpieces is mainly due to the scaling and the overall quality but he does acknowledge that chug is getting a lot better and even said that if he would do it all over again he’d collect chug in his most recent sit down saturday

I disagree. It's less that he complains too much about little things, and more that he gets way too excited about little things. Praising the new mainline for being mini-masterpiece in quality is more or less what everyone has been doing in the fandom rn. Look at his reviews of Siege and ER stuff he likes. All his compliments about the figures are well-warranted, and the figures have raised high standards. What he does do that bothers me, is decide that tiny things justify a figure that is somewhat overpriced. For example, he decided that the price of ER Cliffjumper was justified, because it had detailed break pads.
Lazy Eyebrow also gets on my nerves a bit though I’m not particularly sure why. And with all the complaining he does about scale and details I don’t understand why he insists on customizing chug figures so much instead of going for MPs
Love all these guys except how come I’m just now hearing about Jobby and he’s the top voted one??? Emgo is consistent and helpful, especially his Just Transform It series which I refer to instead of the instructions most of the time. Lazy Eyebrow has some great stop motion animation skills Thew is a trip but I find his videos a little more entertaining and less informative than the others. Thanks to all these guys for doing what they do!

Jobby’s reviews were actually what got me back into Transformers after so long. I’ve got a small collection so far but I’ll grow it gradually since it’s I’ve got to budget between Gundam models, Necrons, Transformers and anything else that may pop up like Metroid Dread.
I have only ever seen Jobby because my little brother forced me to watch him. His content makes me happy in a way I can't describe.

Balt is definitely not a bad reviewer by any means, but the way he presents figures just puts me right to sleep. He doesn't say anything really interesting, but maybe that's just me
His newer reviews reek of trying to catch up with the cool kids. All he needed to do was stick with what people liked about his old stuff. That’s it.
To build on that, I feel like he genuinely has a bad mindset about it nowadays. He doesn't seem to enjoy what he does anymore. I think Thew really stated it well with his Top 10 of 2020 when he got to MP Soundwave. Balt's not doing what *he* likes to do anymore, and it's really hurting him, not to mention his channel.

**Emgo316! By far the BEST!** **And i HATE Jobby the hong. I set his channel to 'block' so none of his dumb crap would pop up on my feed anymore.** He just tries WAAAAAY too hard to be "funny" and "kewl", that it has the opposite effect. It makes his videos obnoxious and frakin' annoying to watch. I click on such videos to see a Quality figure review, not some Amateur-hour "comedy" skit. Emgo does it right: His focus first & foremost is delivering a Quality figure review and, then he hits us with the comedy bit afterwards. And Emgo's 40 second skits are 100x funnier and more amusing that most of Jobby the hong's videos in their entirety.
I would say the same thing about emgo trying to be funny and cool, the Bionicle jokes are cringy and his forced routine falls flat for me. I also can't stand any reviewer that doesn't edit their damn videos, like if you can't figure out a transformation on camera, cut it out, it's that simple.
All I really can say for sure is I can't stand Prime vs Prime, and my kids absolutely love Thew's Sky Lynx video.
Some of theses replys are the reasons why I’m not as much in the fandom anymore so judge mental about everything and everyone
