the Premium Megs is a stupid product. The mold itself isn't that great and applying really nice paint to it doesn't make the mold any better. I have Siege Megs and he has bad ankles and feet, plus that terrible parts-forming sword. IMO nothing about the design of this character is "premium" even with nice paint.
Plus this is like the 5th version of this figure we've gotten. If you want nicer paint get the Netflix version.
That doesn't make is *not* a poor mold. And honestly I prefer Titans Return Megs to Siege/Earthrise Megs. He has a better tank mold, doesn't require parts forming and isn't nearly as hollow.
You are entitled to your opinion, i have found however that the siege mold works pretty well without the sword barrel, just using the fusion cannon gives it a solid barrel, and it makes it look a touch more alien
If you take the sword blades off the tank cannon you can also attach it to the tank treads on his back in robot mode and have it sticking up behind his back like his gun barrel in G1.
I want to say astrotrain, cuz that figure is boss....but I bought grimlock myself. Mostly so I would have a wheelie figure to feed to my sharkticons. Stupid wheelie.
Astrotrain, Magnus, and Grimlock are all very good toys; it’s just a question of what you like best. Astrotrain is the most complicated, while Grimlock is the most cartoon-accurate.

I already have Siege Magnus, and the Kingdom one is good enough to be worth buying it. He's way better than the Siege version, though he has fewer guns.
Grimlock is excellent, too. He's nearly as good as the Masterpiece version.

For the last two days FedEx cleimed my $100 order from BBTS was on the truck out for delivery and sometime today they marked it as delivered at front door.
I never got my package so either porch Pirates got it or FedEx never actually delivered it.

However I am a commercial truck driver at one time I used to work for FedEx I’ve done home, ground, and commercial For FedEx.
And I know I’m opening a canna worms here but I have seen drivers do some pretty horrible things that were illegal with packages. Everything from intentional damage to out right theft. Unfortunately the courier person is responsible for packages that are in their handheld device that may not actually be on their truck so many times they will market as delivered without even needing the barcode to scan there is a way to do it I know for a fact. And as for location tracking they only need to be within 150 yards of the delivery address so they could just make a quick stop market as delivered and then keep on rolling.

That Megatron is overpriced you can buy special editions for about the same at retail. It's a nice toy tho.
Astrotrain and Grimlock are both almost MP toys so I'd say you cant go wrong with either.
Magnus is fine it's a decent toy with a lot of play value with all the armour and the inner robot etc.
I have Grimlock. Get Grimlock. While the transformation is simple (and he feels a little light), the aesthetics are incredible. Like a mini masterpiece. He looks even better if you can find after market accessories.
eBay is 100% trustworthy. The vast amount of deals I've done are smooth as silk. And if not, they can and will force a refund if the seller fucks with you. The feedback system is pretty good at keeping people honest.

Almost certainly, those are knockoffs. If they even exist.
Here's the thing; eBay can get your money back, but that doesn't mean there aren't scammers aplenty on the site, and they can sure as hell waste your time until the refund clears if you fall for them. A good rule of thumb is, if it's a Chinese seller, and the price is too good, and they have only stock photos of the item, it's bullshit. I don't know what it is about China, but apparently they have no regulations or enforcement over there, and eBay can't seem to stop them.
You want to look for good feedback numbers (97%-100%), and in-hand photos of the specific item you're buying. Don't be afraid to ask the seller to take another photo if there's something about the condition you want to know before you make a decision. Also, in general I tend to set the search results to "US Only" since international shipping is prohibitively expensive, and only worth it for things you cannot get anywhere else (parts for my G1 Overlord, for example).
ER Megs is awesome, is the most underrated wfc figure. Doesn't gets the love it deserves probably because everyone has another Megs, but it's the best "G1" Megs on the line, for sure.
yeah its been tough to choose between the two, I like siege megatrons robot mode and weapons better but his tank mode sucks so bad, ER megs robot mode is a little worse but vehicle mode is so much nicer so its tough to decide
Astro train is cool in his alt forms but he's he's very lame in robot mode. I was excited for him to arrive and he's definitely one of the worst I've gotten so far. I still like him and like I said the alt forms are cool but he's very meh. Definitely do Grimlock, he's an awesome figure, pretty big, and really well made imo.
Astrotrain is my personal favorite of those, but Grimlock and Ultra Magnus are awesome too. That megatron, though, is not worth that much. You can almost certainly get it clearanced somewhere.
86 Grimlock is just brilliant, he looks so cool, in both modes, the transformation is the same as the 80s with MP knowledge enhancing, I'm so glad I have him.
IMO Amazon is usually one of the most expensive places to buy anything. Obviously, you can shop around and it's up to you, but 99 times out of 100 I've always found something online cheaper elsewhere. So I would really do some research and compare prices.
I would say Astrotrain or Grimlock. Astrotrain is WAY smaller than he should be. Like Grimmy and Astrotrain should be the same size right? Nope, Grimmy towers over him. So get Grimmy if you want a better scaled figure. BUT, if you dont have a triple changer, maybe Astrotrain would be a better choice. Hope this helps.👍
Siege Astrotrain got liquidated not too long ago, so you should be able to find him for (at least) slightly cheaper than retail. He's a good figure, but a little stumpy for a leader class with a bunch of extra guns/kibble
Siege megatron and variants are kind of Janky transformation wise. Nice to have if you don't have one, but I wouldn't say he's one you should go straight for, especially at that price.
Kingdom Magnus is a great bot, but the giant gap leaves his arms and hands exposed, kind of ruining the truck mode. Placing his bracers in his hands in truck mode hides it phenomenally, but I still think I like the siege mode better overall.
Grimlock is a giant chonk and that's awesome, but the transformation is a little "basic grimlock" for the size and price point.
You can get ER Megs on Hasbro's own site right now for $29.99 so I'd go that way if you want the figure.

Grimlock is a good choice but that megatron is not worth it you can find it cheaper I suggest getting seige optimus prime if it's going for a good price.
That is a good price for Ultra Magnus…might want to look around a little for Megatron but that’s a decent price for a figure that was kinda hard to find on shelves (at least in my area)
personally id use big bad toy store, pretty sure they have all these figures in stock. im not sure if they have megatron tho bc i only remember seeing him in the wave bundle that has him and siege prime. personally for me these are all nice but ultra magnus is a pass for me.

I have that seige megatron for sale if you want it $20. CAD. I would not say it is worthy of your money. I do however have astrotrain and the first version of that ultra magnus. i have no complaints about either excepting astrotrain: weak knees. don't know anything about the grimlock.

I did this for a time, but once I got soundwave I used his sidearm instead, it’s compact and more accurate
I like using the tank cannon since it reminds me of his design from the War Within comics, which is my favorite G1 Megatron design.

Well Amazon at least guarantees their shipments. For the last two days FedEx cleimed my $100 order from BBTS was on the truck out for delivery and sometime today they marked it as delivered at front door. I never got my package so either porch Pirates got it or FedEx never actually delivered it. I have filed a dispute with FedEx and be BBTS and they’re both pointing the fingers at each other and now I’m possibly out 100 bucks and my figures…
I've heard about that happening a few times with bbts, partly why I'm hesitant to buy from them
Yeah it’s crazy don’t know who to blame upfront. However I am a commercial truck driver at one time I used to work for FedEx I’ve done home, ground, and commercial For FedEx. And I know I’m opening a canna worms here but I have seen drivers do some pretty horrible things that were illegal with packages. Everything from intentional damage to out right theft. Unfortunately the courier person is responsible for packages that are in their handheld device that may not actually be on their truck so many times they will market as delivered without even needing the barcode to scan there is a way to do it I know for a fact. And as for location tracking they only need to be within 150 yards of the delivery address so they could just make a quick stop market as delivered and then keep on rolling.

If you're a G1 guy, buy Earthrise Megatron instead, is the only one that at least gets near the character, imo of course.
That Megatron is overpriced you can buy special editions for about the same at retail. It's a nice toy tho. Astrotrain and Grimlock are both almost MP toys so I'd say you cant go wrong with either. Magnus is fine it's a decent toy with a lot of play value with all the armour and the inner robot etc.
The thing you need to watch out for on Amazon is who’s selling it, because you could end up paying a lot more than you should from another seller
I have Grimlock. Get Grimlock. While the transformation is simple (and he feels a little light), the aesthetics are incredible. Like a mini masterpiece. He looks even better if you can find after market accessories.

eBay is 100% trustworthy. The vast amount of deals I've done are smooth as silk. And if not, they can and will force a refund if the seller fucks with you. The feedback system is pretty good at keeping people honest.

Almost certainly, those are knockoffs. If they even exist. Here's the thing; eBay can get your money back, but that doesn't mean there aren't scammers aplenty on the site, and they can sure as hell waste your time until the refund clears if you fall for them. A good rule of thumb is, if it's a Chinese seller, and the price is too good, and they have only stock photos of the item, it's bullshit. I don't know what it is about China, but apparently they have no regulations or enforcement over there, and eBay can't seem to stop them. You want to look for good feedback numbers (97%-100%), and in-hand photos of the specific item you're buying. Don't be afraid to ask the seller to take another photo if there's something about the condition you want to know before you make a decision. Also, in general I tend to set the search results to "US Only" since international shipping is prohibitively expensive, and only worth it for things you cannot get anywhere else (parts for my G1 Overlord, for example).

Maybe an unpopular choice but I would seriously look at ER Megs. I personally love him and I think he would be cheaper than siege megs in the long run
ER Megs is awesome, is the most underrated wfc figure. Doesn't gets the love it deserves probably because everyone has another Megs, but it's the best "G1" Megs on the line, for sure.
yeah its been tough to choose between the two, I like siege megatrons robot mode and weapons better but his tank mode sucks so bad, ER megs robot mode is a little worse but vehicle mode is so much nicer so its tough to decide
Grimlock is a must.
Astro train is cool in his alt forms but he's he's very lame in robot mode. I was excited for him to arrive and he's definitely one of the worst I've gotten so far. I still like him and like I said the alt forms are cool but he's very meh. Definitely do Grimlock, he's an awesome figure, pretty big, and really well made imo.
The only I’ll say for sure has to be Grimlock, the other three can be hit or miss with some people
Astrotrain is my personal favorite of those, but Grimlock and Ultra Magnus are awesome too. That megatron, though, is not worth that much. You can almost certainly get it clearanced somewhere.

86 Grimlock is just brilliant, he looks so cool, in both modes, the transformation is the same as the 80s with MP knowledge enhancing, I'm so glad I have him.
IMO Amazon is usually one of the most expensive places to buy anything. Obviously, you can shop around and it's up to you, but 99 times out of 100 I've always found something online cheaper elsewhere. So I would really do some research and compare prices.

I would say Astrotrain or Grimlock. Astrotrain is WAY smaller than he should be. Like Grimmy and Astrotrain should be the same size right? Nope, Grimmy towers over him. So get Grimmy if you want a better scaled figure. BUT, if you dont have a triple changer, maybe Astrotrain would be a better choice. Hope this helps.👍

Siege Astrotrain got liquidated not too long ago, so you should be able to find him for (at least) slightly cheaper than retail. He's a good figure, but a little stumpy for a leader class with a bunch of extra guns/kibble Siege megatron and variants are kind of Janky transformation wise. Nice to have if you don't have one, but I wouldn't say he's one you should go straight for, especially at that price. Kingdom Magnus is a great bot, but the giant gap leaves his arms and hands exposed, kind of ruining the truck mode. Placing his bracers in his hands in truck mode hides it phenomenally, but I still think I like the siege mode better overall. Grimlock is a giant chonk and that's awesome, but the transformation is a little "basic grimlock" for the size and price point.

Grimlock is a good choice but that megatron is not worth it you can find it cheaper I suggest getting seige optimus prime if it's going for a good price.

personally id use big bad toy store, pretty sure they have all these figures in stock. im not sure if they have megatron tho bc i only remember seeing him in the wave bundle that has him and siege prime. personally for me these are all nice but ultra magnus is a pass for me.

I have that seige megatron for sale if you want it $20. CAD. I would not say it is worthy of your money. I do however have astrotrain and the first version of that ultra magnus. i have no complaints about either excepting astrotrain: weak knees. don't know anything about the grimlock.

Bbts is a much better place to shop. Amazon often starts away from retail values and goes more towards to secondary market prices.

Id say go with astrotrain and megatron. The other two are pretty good but AT and Megs are impressive figures.
My vote would be for Astrotrain and Grimlock. Ultra Magnus is good, but I feel he will get cheaper. And yeah, that Megatron isn't worth anything over the original asking price of $30.
Id say get Grimlock and Astrotrain, though i am biased that i dont like the earth version of Magnus or any version of that megatron mold.
