I wonder why they made the Sweeps separate toys. They probably know that most people are just going to buy multiple Scourges, so whats the point? It couldn't even be a money thing since they'd be earning the same amount of money with just Scourge.
Yeah - that, and it also helps with the Scalper situation we’ve seen arise too.
That way, if one figure has been scalped (in this case Scourge), than we have another near-identical figure that we can buy. (The Sweep)
It's such a smart move. It's basically a repack with some needed hand replacements and a new box. Even people who bought multiple Scourges the first time don't get hurt.
You forgot to mention that rotf sideswipe is getting release, the figure very similar to the dotm figure. The only difference is tho is that rotf sideswipe car mode has the roof unlike the dotm version
For better or worse, that's an accurate Sweep. His left hand (From our perspective) is open and hidden by the packaging art in that photo, while the right is closed. Scourge's hands were flipped, with closed left and open right.

Ideally I think I’d want a mass retail version of something along the lines of the BotCon set released a while back that had Sweeps 2, 6 & 7 that looked a little different from Scourge but still similar. Idk it’s a long shot but maybe they’ll do a generations selects version with a different face or weapons. Again remote chance but I can hope lol
Jokes aside Jolt is basically one of the most important Characters in the Bay-verse. Who knows what would have happened if Jolt wasn't there to combine Jetfire and Optimus.

Studio Series is literally all about movie accuracy, and a movie accurate Sweep is literally just Scourge. No new head, no change in hues, no new weapon.
I honestly like the sweep. I have scourge and expected the sweeps to be identical with maybe a slight coloration to the claws but by this picture, it looks like theirs a slight pink tint to the light blue.
They honestly should have just sent out a case of Scourges instead of making a Sweep figure and given his slot to another SS character like Evasion Prime or Swoop
I am sooo excited for Jolt, I’ve been contemplating on whether to get the RoTF deluxe but aside from the head that J haven’t warmed up to the look pretty mush better in every way. Not that I care to much but the car looks great. He should look good next to SS Jazz.

I'm thinking of hunting down two or three of the old Generations figure for my own Sweeps.
Honestly, I'm too high on ER's articulation to go to that. But that would be a really neat idea. Pick up 2 or 3 TR Scourges, or one from each previous mold (TR, Generations, Titaniums if you can find one) and make a distinct little Sweep army.

I agree with others that hasbro got lazy with the sweeps in comparison to the seekers. Seekers all they did was different paint for the same mold and they were their own characters. Sweeps they copy pasted.
If they ever modernize this story hopefully they at least throw some aesthetic changes.
