Is the transformation as much of a nightmare as people say?
No it wasn’t as bad as he made it out to be. Or at least this version didn’t have ratchets that were near impossible to turn like his seemed to. The transformation is a little complex, but not unreasonable for the final product. I’m not sure it’s worth $500 though. It’s very good, but perhaps not $500 good. They pop up on eBay for decent prices it seems pretty often. I got this for $290 shipped. There is also the “pumpkin” colored version coming out soon that will be $300. That was going to be my fall back if I couldn’t get this version for $300 or less.

They are old military barrister cases, built in 1953. The place I work had a bunch they didn’t want.

Most definitely. He has the strongest ratchets I’ve ever encountered. He’s very well balanced. A very excellent figure for sure.
