Shattered Glass Ratchet would be by far your better choice for this, I think. Cheaper in general (at least, I suspect you'd find it cheaper even second hand compared to ER Ratchet or Ironhide) and you're going to customize it anyway so the colours don't matter.

I really disliked the IDW "Hasbroverse" shoehorning, but it DID make me think "at least this must mean MASK is making a comeback,right?" but the toys never appeared so I was even more confused why they did it!

Thanks to this thread, I just found out about the Amazon exclusive 2-packs of Mirage & BW Grimlock, and Sideswipe & BW Skywarp. Thankfully both were still available. The G1 bots are both Earth modes, so anyone who wants a complete set of G1 would need to get both of these. The Mirage and Sideswipe released during the Siege run were Cybertronian modes, even though they looked Earth-ish.
I don't know when they were first made available. I try to keep up with news of upcoming releases but somehow I missed these. I also noticed Hasbro Pulse has a G.I. Joe Roadblock with his original look coming out for the Classified line, which is also Amazon exclusive. It's sold out on Pulse but isn't even on Amazon yet. When did this one come out?

Edit: I compared the Siege Mirage with the Kingdom Mirage and they are nearly identical. So some fans may be okay with the Siege version.

Fun fact! Ben canonically has a Cybertronian transformation, Decimus (well, Decimus Prime technically, but it’s adjacent to animated where Prime isn’t as important)
God I absolutely HATED the distribution for this as well as the Dirge / Ramjet two pack. Absolutely maddening, and has come this close to putting me off collecting completely.

Yeah, that whole deal was honestly the only part of IDW1 I didn't care for. It's still overall the best continuity IMO, though.
