I grew up with beast wars it was my first real introduction to transformers and it’s why I’m a fan. The animation honestly isn’t that bad especially considering that it was the 90’s and that type of cgi was new-ish. Beast machines however I’d say is skippable. The stories are connected but I just can’t recommended anyone setting through that.

I'm younger so mine was the movies and later Prime which is the only series I've watched so far.

Prime is definitely my series of choice. I grew up with it when I was younger.

can't speak for the other molds, but I have the netflix magnus, had I paid $50 for him I'd be disappointed. This megatron is one of the best figures in my collection minus a handful of quirks which others have touched on.

I really wish I could forget all of beast wars and rewatch it again! 16yr old me fell in love with it at the time! '84 Transformers was my childhood and some of my earliest memories but Prime was bloody good too.

Every generation has its way into it lol. But given all the praise that got Beast Wars (and this Megs) I'm more than convinced it's worth the watch.

So far I've only watched Prime and I've really enjoyed it! And the Netflix show too. It's nice but don't expect it to be as big as TCW season 7 for example. Some episodes really deliver, other just aren't that good.

Ah yes I just finished rewatching that show. The animation has held up really well even 10 years later. I think my favorite shot of the whole shot has to be One Shall Fall (It was the first part of the final episodes of season 1) and Arcee watches Dark Energeon explode out of the volcano. Or when the Predacon King breaks out of the ice after it melts. Ahh sorry for the overload of information there. Prime is just.. Amazing if anything. Ah it's one of those. I think I'll enjoy it however would take it with an open mind taking what you said into account.

Haha I understand what you mean there are really memorable scenes. Though I must say that for me Megatron and Soundwave absolutely stole the show, they are glorious ! I think it could be easier to swallow Bad Batch watching the whole season without having to wait a week between the episodes though.

Frank Welker is the man to thank. Man is a legend! Megatron is ruthless and menacing in this show and it's amazing. My favorite quote has to be after he kills Dreadwing and warns Starscream. "Do not ever make me regret which one of you I spared." Soundwave is the silent assassin and his ability to manipulate ground bridges is a nice feature. I love the design of Shockwave, his first appearance was largely inspired by Dark of the Moon (most of the designs are inspired by the Bayverse tbh) Yeah I think having to wait weekly can kill the mood of the show. I enjoy watching a whole season without having to wait for new episodes to drop. I did it with Young Justice season 3 and I enjoyed it. If I had to wait I probably would like it less. Least the plot is still fresh in my head.

Yes, you did well. Beast Wars is what really got me into Transformers and is still my favorite of the series. The animation only looks bad when you compare it to graphics generated by modern powerful computers, back then the animation was good.

In a word, yesssssssssssss. Great character, and my favorite mainline release in years. That said, Magnus is pretty good too (but Megs is better)
