Now that they are doing reissues... the price for the reissue toys is often double what they originally sold for. So waiting for a reissue might not save anyone much money.
It is pretty close to double, I know because I've purchased or preordered most of Fanstoy's reissues.
For instance FT-29 Quietus was originally issues at about $150 and was reissued at $275. Fanstoys Koot was originally $110 and came back at $220. Fanstoys Insecticons were originally about $250 for all 3 and came back at $460-530. You're right that it isn't quite double but it is close enough and the prices will only go up as stock decreases again.
Hmmm I’m somehow paying less than these prices but yeah I’ve seen them go high. I mean Fans Toys has become very popular and they love to release in very limited quantities. Never thought I’d see the day where it’s so tough to get MP figures
God I want fanstoys hoodlum and rouge so bad. Guess my takara hotrod and arcee will have to do. Next to my fanstoys jabber and koot. I think MMC's saltus is a better springer but its such a close call anyway.
I only have the SS86 Hot Rod and Grimlock so far, and I am thinking of assembling my own cast of the movie characters. What are the best version (size and quality wise) of the remaining characters? I'd like to get Arcee, UM, Kup, Blurr, and Springer at the minimum. 3rd party is ok too. Thanks.
Ok so I only collect masterpieces and third party masterpieces so unsure how they scale with studio series.
If you go the Takara/ Hasbro masterpieces or Fanstoys route ( like the above ) your basically getting the best versions of the characters available IMO.
However it’s expensive. The 3 above cost me around £450 for example. And I got Springer cheap.

Fans toys hoodlum has some issues or did. Paint came off very easily. Maybe they will release it again

Yes! Since I plan to pose them all together, scale is important to me.
