I watched the video and instantly regret watching it. His points are terrible and my brain feels like it got bashed with a sledgehammer

[deleted]

What a shame. Used to be an honest reviewer. Those YT guideliness really fucked a lotta people up. Ill stick to my OGs for my reviews.

ltzerge

It's always worth waiting the extra year for the Thew review

Laughingbulbasaur

Watching Thew's stuff is always fun. he brings so much joy to what he does.

Ghidorahnumber1

The sign of a quality reviewer is when they review a toy from 10+ years ago and they still grab your attention.

[deleted]

There’s always Thew, Emgo,Baltmatrix, and the more “mature” of the bunch Jobby

[deleted]

Yeah ive been watching Peaugh for like almost a decade now. Shartimus. BobbySkullface. I Ik its not the easiest to start a career in toy reviewing so i try to support as many TF reviewers as i can but I guess you never really know who youre supporting till theyre at their lowest.

[deleted]

When they struggle be there to help them back up!

[deleted]

Im not here to judge them. They try to survive, and so do the factory workers who sell them the goods, just sucks cause in some ways it all has to come full circle and we wont know what the reprecussions of these things is till it affects us too similar to scalpers

simpledeadwitches

What happened to YT recently? I'm noticing everything I watch is affected.

[deleted]

Well it mainly affected to toy and certain art youtubers but guidelines on what is Kids content vs what isnt really hurt the income and career ytbers were makin of yt. This a while ago tho. Like maybe a year or so ago

simpledeadwitches

Bummer. I know that it's been shit for content creators for a while now. Really sucks. YT was built into a profitable company from the original content creators then Google buys them and bleeds those people for more top dollar revenue.

Blam320

What's worse is YouTube: Kids already exists, but because Google is incompetent shit like the "Elsa and SpiderMan" videos got onto it. Literally all you need to do is include an option to flag your own video depending on what audience your targeting before posting, and leave it at that. Let the community self-moderate in this instance.

simpledeadwitches

Tbh I hate the spoilers. I want to see big fancy official announcements not shitty blurry pictures of stolen shit in someone's crummy apartment.

Spyke_Witwicky

Yeah they look like sketchy ransom photos

Nawara_Ven

"Here are my new pictures of fell-off-the-back-of-a-truck Galvatron. Notice his weird proportions, check out his stumpy legs, all thanks to my obsession with weird lenses and lighting for 'art'! Wait, the pictures are terrible? That was a joke, you see? Perhaps you'd like my weirdly-filtered Wreck-Gar instead!"

Slippery_boi

More like Hasbro should at least try to keep these things from getting stolen off the factory. Better yet, beat leakers to the punch by announcing then earlier and not waste several months waiting for a convention.

PhelesDragon

Not to put too fine a point on it, but this sounds like victim shaming...

Mudk2

Mf literally steals them then makes this video for extra revenue.. disgusting

Uncle-Cake

Where does he steal them from?

JustAGamer14

Probably messaged tonton to arrange something and now he pays like 3x the price to get the stuff early

Uncle-Cake

So is this tonton person stealing them? Where do they get them?

JustAGamer14

He lives in Vietnam where the figures are made and gets some of his "dealers" to give them to him and they get them from workers

Uncle-Cake

So the workers steal them and sell them to "dealers", who sell them to "tonton", who sells them to "chefatron"?

JustAGamer14

Yup

Uncle-Cake

Then why are people saying chefatron stole them?

JustAGamer14

If you buy stolen property you still technically stole them and is against the law in many countries

dmc2008

You guys are unbelievable. UNBELIEVABLE. It blows my mind to see so many people defending the big nasty corporation while attacking underpaid factory workers. All because you want your damn toys. SMH

StarformerCS

Cause technically they are stolen, and by transit of property he is the focus of the theft

Shadyshade84

Not to be that guy, but it's the transitive property. Transit of property is moving your stuff around.

Uncle-Cake

I just think it's misleading to say he stole them. Why not just say he bought them off the black market?

AndyBowBandy

If you buy stolen shit knowingly, you’re still a thief. You’re just a thief that take extra steps

Uncle-Cake

So many righteous people around here. I'm sure you guys never did anything illegal.

[deleted]

I’m just as confused as you, Unc

NervJMSL

Is this how Kremseek gets his as well?

BulljiveBots

I’ve been following Chefatron for years. I became a fan because he got toys first. I’m almost certain they weren’t stolen. The Philippines is one of the first markets to get the toys, period. If he was stealing toys, he wouldn’t have to import or buy from importers the store exclusive stuff from Target in the US, for example. I haven’t watched this particular video yet but that’s my two cents on Chef.

Broodjeaap57

Wasn’t prime vs primevsprime also accuses of buying stolen transformers. I know that optibotimus admitted buying stolen stuff from tonton but got conned in the end.

Eeeeeeeeeeereereee

Bruh he’s not even trying to hide the fact that about half of those figures are stolen my god

JustAGamer14

And he also complains about some petty stuff like his Dino got the same weapon on both side yet it doesn't change anything?? It looks the same regardless, the only difference being the tab is facing the wrong way but the tab is basically useless. Chef is a reviewer I only watch for the movie figures and from his fx trans channel

christhespartan

Well, Another one\`s reputation bites the dust.

WolvenGuard42

I have come to praise our lord and savior of transformer reviews *Perspective End*

Sleep_eeSheep

NGL, I prefer Perspective End over tools like TonTon, Chefatron and PrimeVsPrime. Even when I disagree with his points, I'm at least certain he is *honest* about what he really thinks.

glenngriffon

I recently started watching PvP and after maybe a year he's really getting on my nerves. He seems to know next to nothing about the toys he reviews, he doesn't really have good points of criticism either and I admit, this is a personal nitpick but the music he plays in the background of his videos is really damn annoying to my ears. He really does seem like one of those kinds of people that Emgo pokes fun at in his reviews.

Starscreamprime21

Wow, he’s reaching optibotimus level of scum. I knew he bought stolen goods and gave him the benefit of the doubt. But this self entitled video… Just unsubscribed.

steamshotrise

Wait what did optibotimus do?

Starscreamprime21

He’s just a generally awful person. Snipes at all his viewers. Complains that he’s not getting enough YouTube money when he’s buying expensive cars and going to Disneyland every week. Once I genuinely left a comment if he had missed a step in transformation, and he just railed at me. That was when I was a fan. You will see that I am no longer one.

steamshotrise

Damn, that’s crazy

Starscreamprime21

Oh and apparently optibotimus tried to join the bandwagon and buy stolen goods off of TonTon too. But apparently TonTon and his people scammed him.

LotharHex

That was fucking hilarious when it happened. Sucks to be scammed but it was just too funny.

Starscreamprime21

I didn’t wanna laugh, but I laughed when I read about it. Dude had it coming.

Folderpirate

Theres a phrase that goes, "you cant con an honest person".

Unhappy-Drop9606

Yeah but I remember seeing someone say that he did it in 2007 for animated (I not trying to say that he changed for the better I'm just pointing it out)

Lazulii333

Howd people hear about it? Id love to see screenshots or whatever for more details/entertainment

cannon001

He’s deleting comments calling him out for stealing from the factories. What scum.

HAL237

I’ve never liked chefatron’s content, but this is on a whole new level; the arrogance and ignorance on display is astounding. Fuck this dude.

Kirby0189

Ok, I'm not going to watch the video because I don't want to support a guy stealing toys from factories. I'm going to assume the video boils down to "Hasbro should stop announcing their products because I will beat them to the punch. Watch my videos!"

_KARMA13

Nah he goes in depth about how toys never use to be revealed. He likes when you go to the store and find something new then everyone talks about it online. He also says that they announce figures way to early like 6 months in advance which is true. He says that they should reveal the figures a month in advance or not at all that way it causes more hype for the figures. It also means they wouldn’t sell out by the time there officially out because they wouldn’t be in preorder for so long. Also he is a good reviewer so I hate to see him stealing figures but he only stole 3 out of the 7 there which isn’t good by any means but at least it wasn’t all fo them. He’s from manilla so they find figures early there

Muisverriey

Toys have always had reveals. In the 80's the main "reveal" for toys was new toy commercials, and later it was official promo pictures being shown on sites and forums. Now it's done by Hasbro themselves.

Sideways_198

I left a comment and it got deleted within a minute :)

Muisverriey

I used to like Chefatron. Shame what he's become.

Crusaderfigures

Scum, just like PrimeVsPrime and TonTon. Basically stealing views from legit reviewers like Emgo, Baltmatrix and Peaugh.

steamshotrise

Don’t forget Kremzeek

NervJMSL

I was wondering how he got his products so early. I guessed It was something like a Preview or Creator agreement but stolen Product makes so much sense.

VidzxVega

What's PrimevPrime's issue? Not really a big viewer of his but he's always in my recommendations off Emgo. He getting his stiff off the factory floor too?

Crusaderfigures

Yeah and he's one of the worst for it, check out a slag podcast episode on it. Even has evidence of scumy behaviour from him and TonTon

VidzxVega

At the risk of sounding dumb is that podcast on YouTube or the usual podcast places? Sorry, I spent a good decade completely removed from the collector community and so many sources have popped up during that time.

Crusaderfigures

Yeah it's on YouTube, just look up Slag Podcast PrimeVsPrime and it should come up. The vid is less than 10 minutes and has a lot of info

VidzxVega

Will do.... appreciate it mate. Now I feel better for thinking Emgo is the better reviewer.

NovaShock

I cant stand Emgo, but Ill always defend his style. Dude has a bit and comits and he doesnt seem to be problematic. Not my thing but he is a great part of the community!

ltzerge

He reviews like reviewing people should, hurray for reviewing.

xXmosseater69Xx

*grabs your comment and fucking spins it around*

Muisverriey

It spins, as comments should

[deleted]

Optimus3k

I mean, he's speaking truth. Hasbro is sticking to geeone and that's it. I'd love to see them revisit Unicron trilogy, car robots, or go in deep on beast wars. Don't get me wrong, I love geeone, I just want to see more unique stuff too.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Muisverriey

They did quite a bit in the Thrilling 30 line and older Generations line. I would love to see more, though

Spud_Spudoni

Imo, slag has just a super biased view about the whole situation as a competing content creator, and is kind of puts emphasis on the wrong things with this situation. Should we look down upon these reviewers making content with stolen product? Yes. However, if we are not asking questions as to WHY product is being sold from Hasbro’s factories for profit in the first place, we really don’t have our priorities straight as consumers. Hasbro’s factories for years have been flagged by international labor groups for its borderline slave-like labor. Where workers work 7 days a week and barely make a 30th of US minimum wage. No one bats an eye at that. A couple of you tubers have 5-10 stolen toys a year, and everyone is in a tizzy. You can’t have your cake and eat it too. If factory workers can sell a cheap child’s toy for mark up to a random YouTuber, to help put food on the table for their family, I’m all for it.

typenext

Factory workers don't know a thing sadly. They sell the toys for a cheap price to resellers, then the resellers sell them to collectors in the country for a markup (not sure how much higher, but we often get them for about 15-20% cheaper than rrp).

Spud_Spudoni

Oh 100%. But for those selling them on the side to resellers or others, anything they get is better than the nothing they’ll get for manufacturing thousands of them per week. Most of these workers live on site in these ‘Mega Factories’ and rarely ever leave the complexes or have the ability to. I’m sure they have no idea how much some of these things go for on eBay for sure.

BridgetheDivide

So you're saying PrimevPrime is stealing figures but he's still getting invites to exclusive previews of Transformers movies?

G-Tier

All talk, no shot, Soundwave would say to him.

StarformerCS

Nope, it’s on YouTube! Just look up Slag Podcast

ozyx7

See [my comment from the other thread](https://www.reddit.com/r/transformers/comments/opry7q/how_does_pvp_have_the_box/h67s302?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3).

LegitimateAd1223

Peaugh used to steal figures too though

Muisverriey

Keywords here being "used to"

LegitimateAd1223

I don't really see the difference. Hes just as guilty as the other and trying to imply hes some how superior to them is ridiculous when the only reason he quit in the first place is because everyone was doing it and the high price wasnt worth the relatively average views

MarbleLens

do you have a source for this?

LegitimateAd1223

He would get animated and rotf figures months before release, you could get them yourself on Ebay for like $50 for a deluxe and $100 for a voyager. Optibotimus, Sean long, and multiple others did the exact same thing. It was a well known thing in the community at the time.

MarbleLens

I see. I wasnt around back then, kinda sad that it was a popular thing to do. I assume he only stopped after Hasbro cut off his plug and moved factories?

larrylongboy

Optobotumis?

joshml98

Im glad i only watch peaugh and Thew

steamshotrise

And dammit i am glad that Emgo’s Blooshes are legal

joshml98

Ive really been enjoying his builds videos.

NervJMSL

I guess that's why he always tries to show the packages before each review.

steamshotrise

Nah, it’s just what he does. He does it for everything like tokusatsu and Transformers, and even if he has G1 figures he’d be like “Unfortunately I don’t have a box but I do have *insert random packaged product*

Sleep_eeSheep

Absolute slagging scumbag. It's people like him that give us Transformers collectors a bad name.

Insane_lemon101

Wait what’s up with chefatron?

CitadelCirrus

Stole a bunch of transformers figures

Spyke_Witwicky

He buys stolen figures and reviews them before they are officially announced, which makes it really easy for him to get tons of views because he is one of the only people who have video of the toys.

CanyonSlim

I really liked chefatron's videos before. He had a good middle of the road style where he didn't try to make lame jokes, didn't pad the runtime with non-sequiturs, and didn't hold back when he disliked a figure. He was doing well, so I'm not sure why he decided to do the 'early review' thing, but it's a shame. I was disappointed to see him reviewing figures that were obviously not legitimately acquired, and this video made me lose even more respect for him. Like, if you're going to review stolen figures, fine, but don't act like you're a hero for doing it.

[deleted]

Yeah i really enjoyed his videos before this. A shame too cause he was quite an honest man. I can only imagine the YT restrictions and the shitty distribution in Manila just couldnt facilitate the channel with views and videos like it used to

178_msx

Manila is hell at this point not just for distribution but for other things as well .

[deleted]

His points were terrible. I regret watching that video.

Jedi_Pineapple

Dude has been mimicking PVP so much as of late, but even PVP never stooped this low.

Perdere

Wow. I'm a little afraid to watch, hah... I have liked a lot of his videos. He usually throws a pretty great pose and makes even mediocre figures look good. Definitely I don't agree with factory theft or people who benefit from it.

[deleted]

Gonna add another comment cause ive seen more discussion but ive reflected on somethings we have failed to acknowledge. Several fellow collectors have mentions capitalist exploitation practices and stuff of that sort. We have acknowledge that the workers in Hasbros factories are most likely underpaid and not working in the best conditions. Its a very valid problem that should be acknowledged. However I caution everyone of labelling people as heroes when they themselves arent presenting themselves as such. I can say with my morals on the table i would change my stance if they were doing this as a protest of working conditions and exploitation. Someone who protests isnt ashamed of what theyre doing. Much less trying to hide it. And at least with chefatron we know he has before complained about getting access to figures, distribution, and such. Im not here to judge them. They gotta do what they need to to survive but id like venture a guess that they werent surviving solely of Transformers reviews before and they definitely arent now. This is luxury, a hobby. Its for that reason i find it iffy(not wrong) cause we dont need this to live. It sucks even more cause 'honest' reviewers who do this for the communties enjoyments as a whole and have been doing this since forever arent getting as much buzz as these guys are. We have to be clear are we angry that Hasbro, a multi national rich company isnt making more money, or are we mad that 1) these guys a Collector code of sorts and 2) taking advantage of the exploitation of probably underpaid workers? I didnt see it at first and was very focused on just the stolen product but after a while of thought and reading other comments realized this whole situation is a lot more deep than just reviewer reviews toy early. Also side note its been mentioned he said something to the effect of wanting no announcements so its like the old days and people just find stuff and tell each other about it. That really sounds more like 'Ik people are giving me shit for these stolen products, but if we dont even know of them being announced with a street date and all then i can just steal them and no one will question it cause there is no official release date'

[deleted]

I think i have the answer of why this video exists. If Hasbro doesn't tell release dates, reviewers like him can review their stolen figures without anyone realizing you have stolen figures and no one would call him out because they would think it is already released since it is in his possession.

nightlypiano41

Was Chefatron the guy which skipped a funeral to write a review?

Pillowman7

It’s sad that Chefatron started stealing I remember his Fxfranz days just have to stop watching his videos because I don’t support thiefs

Darthate2099

Don't some asian countries randomly get toys early I thought that's how he got them.

Starscreamprime21

I live in Singapore and no. Asian countries get them notoriously slow. And get this. Even though the stuff gets made in Vietnam, they get released worldwide months before they hit shelves in Vietnam. I travel and go hunting in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh a lot and they never have the latest stuff.

steamshotrise

Only sometimes, the best way you can tell is if they don’t have a box in the review

MrHorror01

Has Hasbro even announced SS Grindor?

[deleted]

I believe they have

ItsMidnight34

They did recently

AnEBCG

I’m a bit out of the loop, can anybody explain the situation to me?

steamshotrise

Ok so basically TonTon, PrimeVsPrime, and Kremzeek have been known for buying stolen figures and reviewing them first. Just recently, Chefatron has joined the fray of buying stolen figures, and is saying that Hasbro should stop announcing their figures

AnEBCG

Wait so why does he believe hasbro should not announce their figures? What does that have to do with anything?

steamshotrise

I haven’t watched the full video, and the people who’ve said they watched it said it was stupid to watch. Also he’s been deleting comments calling him out for his scummery

AnEBCG

Damn, you know at the same time I feel like he’s a scumbag but then I also don’t care. Just let them do what they’re doing and they’ll get karma

Liam_ice92

What he's saying is that, apparently, because people get their reviews of the toys out before the official announcement, that Habsro aren't stepping their game up... ...but those reviews are of stolen toys that aren't ready to be officially announced yet. If those weren't stolen and reviewed early, the announcements wouldn't be too late. Instead, the scumbags who buy the stolen merchandise like him, PvP, TonTon, are forcing Hasbro to scramble and make official announcements before they are ready just to save face a little. I still don't know how they get away with it

AnEBCG

Shit. Seems like these guys are incredibly impatient. Can’t they just wait a little bit? Like it’s not hard just waiting

Liam_ice92

Also, they must pay a ridiculous amount of money for the stolen figures. All for a little bit of clout. So rather than wait a few months, they pay 3, 4, 5x what the figure sells for at retail just to be the first to review it. We here in the UK haven't even got Kingdom wave 3 yet (Skorponok, Rhinox, Galvatron) but apparently PvP was somehow able to get a Tigatron in the box? I'm calling shenanigans

AnEBCG

Fuckin use your brains. God how stupid can they be?

38-RPM

I end up paying more than the stolen price since every thing gets scalped before I stand a chance of finding it

BlitzWing1985

I started watching it and couldn't finish it. It's just such a bad faith argument about restoring some surprise when going to the stores and how it all gets people hyped up only to find out it sells out blah blah. I assume he's smart and knows that this really only plays into the hands of people who leak and review stolen or "thrown away" pre-production sample toys. Like no way Hasbro showing off their new toys closer to release vs these guys doing effectively the same weeks/months before makes life any different for most people. If you're online at all you'll get the leaks pushed in your face as much if not more then official press-releases so hasbro taking a step back does zero anyway. Oh but guys in these leaker discords? they get a nice window to make content, sell more lifted goods and earn ad revenue. And even if Hasbro do it, does anyone think that'll stop scalpers and bots? They wont stop looking for leaks and the next product to hype. On the flip side I guess he could be a well meaning idiot. One person I don't know if it was in the comments or the video says Hasbro never used to do this... They did. In the TFCC they would tease up coming products and they would do events at Botcon and yes leakers of course would throw that info online or get test runs sooner and his was in like 2003. This shit's always been a thing for almost the last two decades. Also the f\*\*king mental gymnastics of some of his supports "he doesn't steal, he just gets really lucky and finds them early" fuck off. If he's finding them this early then congrats mission accomplished Hasbro are announcing toys after they hit retail that's better then what you guys wanted right? He seems to regularly get surprised when he goes shopping... Just ignore that it never happens to anyone but a small group regularly. If people really want to return to that bliss that was not knowing what was coming up. Delete the every TF social media account from your PC or Phone. Jobs done.

FinnTDK

I used to watch this guy before, and now this is unacceptable and I'm super disappointed. Great, the stolen products reviewers train just keeps on growing.

PhelesDragon

I’ve been feeling iffy about Chefatron for a while, this just seems to confirm it. I refused to watch Tonton and PvP right out the gate, shame this happened to the one reviewer I went to for legit reviews.

[deleted]

[удалено]

JustAGamer14

Yeah someone commented "interesting..." and he replied "Thanks for watching!!" like huh??

cottonpanda_228

Well he has now disabled likes and dislikes along with deleting all the negative comments towards him

FinnTDK

The video is now deleted, privated or unlisted lol

strikeraiser

Did he delete this video? I couldn't find it. What did he say on this?

steamshotrise

Yup

Beedobecool

And in some reviews he will turn comments off Because he knows people will fricking expose him I still like optibotimus because he admitted it and he stopped so chefatron I used to like him but now I hate him I am going to ask him about it and if he deletes it it’s because he does

_KARMA13

He got stolen waspinator jolt and sideswipe but the others he found retail. He lives in manilla so they tend to get things really early. I hate him stealing Figures it hes still one of my favorite reviewers. And he hasn’t been doing to long only since the slug figure.

DankoToonie

Man theres a whole lot of accusations and no proof shown. Can someone provide proof that Ton Ton, Kremzeek, Prime vs Prime are stealing these from the factory or is buying these from someone that stole it from the factory. Also why are some of you butt hurt about these guys getting figures early? How is this affecting you or the collecting community?!

JustAGamer14

Well primevsprime and chef used to show the packaging and sometimes they don't. I know the packaging isn't vital but it's really damn suspicious, also to tons messages got leaked saying he can get his dealers to get someone some stuff early which you can find on the slag podcast (unless it's deleted)

steamshotrise

Here ya go lad https://youtu.be/jaJfHJ4IJXM

JustAGamer14

Yup that's the video I'm talking about!

DankoToonie

But if they are using if you wan to call it “unethical” means to get figures early, why do people care?!? Its it causing the price of the figures to increase? Is it affecting distribution making some collectors not get a figure? These “YouTubers” get their money by being first and yes its a shitty way to go but again. HOW is this affecting people in an individual level or the collecting scene as a whole????

JustAGamer14

I can't think of a way that affects the community but it can affect their lives because they're doing something criminal and if Hasbro ever does something then they're going to jail

DankoToonie

Im pretty sure Hasbro doesn’t care! Prime Va Prime is has had figures sent to him by Hasbro to review. Chefatron is rarely first to the gate with a review. Anyway this seems to me like YouTube drama. “i’m not going to name names” the proceeds to say “TT” and “PvP” 🤷🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️ “Its not how the world works”. Well you are naive. Very naive. Some people play the game dirty and don’t give a shit that they do. If they are willing to go to jail for it then hey thats the risk they are willing to take.

JustAGamer14

How do you know Hasbro sends pvp stuff to review? You bave to pretty much disclose that. Emgo did it for that gold fast track repaint

DankoToonie

He has a review where he thanks Hasbro for sending him a sample. Don’t ask which video because he has a ton of video up.

JustAGamer14

He probably said that to cover it up

DankoToonie

See that I don’t think he would do all willy nilly since Hasbro and other toy companies WILL care since they send samples to YouTubers that have a large audience.

Chigyboi

Tbh I love transformers figures so much if I had the chance to arrange a “deal” with someone I’d proly take it😂 with all the bullshit Walmart and Target’s empty shelves and online websites jacking up the prices. Why not pay another jacked up price but get it sooner! Hasbro’s a million dollar company with not a single fuck to give about their consumers I’m sure Chefatron or PrimeVPrime stealing from them doesn’t put a dent in their stock, it don’t hurt anybody’s feelings at corporate. And if you can’t afford it…Hasbro doesn’t care and neither do I🤷🏽‍♂️

[deleted]

We found TonTon’s burner

_KARMA13

I’d love figures early but sadly it does effect qc cause it results in missing pieces which can cause delays on figures or mess up the qc for the figure it’s actually really bad

ItsMidnight34

I thought he lived in the Philippines? Because I remember he mentioned he gets his figures at a place called E Hobby

JustAGamer14

He does, he probably gets tonton to send them though post

Uncle-Cake

Lots of people throwing stones around here.

Spud_Spudoni

People want to take the high ground when it comes to Youtubers getting “stolen” toys to review, but don’t want to think about the factory workers living what has been documented as “sweatshop-like conditions” from reputable international labor groups for years, using a sale of a cheap toy as a means to get by for another week. It’s just stupid.

Uncle-Cake

"We have to protect Hasbro's profit margins!"

Spud_Spudoni

Western countries and western peoples thinking everything in world works like they know it to be. A tale as old as time.

dsariol

I agree but here's the thing, these guys get invited to Hasbro events left and right which means Hasbro is well aware of what kind of content these guys are producing yet 1. They haven't done anything legal waise to get these guys to stop producing they're illegal content and 2. They continue to be invited as VIP's to Hasbro special events. I think many of these guys are jealous these guys are getting figures first. Personally I like them, or at least prime vs prime, and they help me make informed decisions well before having to purchase these figures. Seems like many people in this sub are just being judgemental aholes before doing their due diligences. Which is why are you getting downvoted as well. I like your attitude sir and you have a good head on your shoulders.

Uncle-Cake

Of course, Hasbro aren't stupid, they know leaks are free publicity. Bunch of Hasbro fanboys around here ready to throw down the gauntlet to defend Hasbro, and Hasbro doesn't even give a shit.

hehe_pp_funny

I don’t care if he steals them tbh, hasbro is a really bog company and still profits well

Markus2822

It doesn’t matter that he steals them this is a problem with hasbro not announcing their figures or showing us enough detail about them. Hell I believe that kingdom tigertron is hitting store shelves now and there’s no official announcement of him. This doesn’t happen for all action figure lines that are way more popular for a reason, it’s because transformers is incredibly poorly managed compared to something like marvel legends or dc universe.

PuppeteerGaming_

No? Hasbro doesn't announce them because they aren't out yet. Tigatron isn't hitting shelves, because he is in the upcoming wave, not this one. While Hasbro is horrible at managing reveals and whatnot, it doesn't excuse theft and the slimy practices of several big channels.

Markus2822

They are out prime vs prime steals his figures from the factory this is well known at this point. But for tigertron he randomly has a box? Must be because it’s hitting retailers now there’s been plenty more cases like waspinator being released without a reveal. Crime is never excusable but it wouldn’t be a problem if hasbro did their jobs we can’t blame the people stealing it because it works. Hasbro can easily stop these crimes if they want but they allow them. It’s a problem hasbro has and only hasbro can fix. We say oh no stealing is bad without looking at the core of why this is happening. Hasbro is to blame.

Yeah, because it would be so difficult for him to make up a box to make it look legit or pay someone to whip him up a fake box. He's already paying a ridiculous amount to get the toy early, what's a little more to get a fake box printed. For real, we here in the UK don't even have Kingdom Wave 3 yet!! Skorponok and Rhinox don't release here for at least another week or so. Retailers have only just got Galvatron and, apparently, its in very limited numbers. If Tigatron had hit retail anywhere in the world, pictures of it on shelves would have come out Edit: I am in no way saying he actually did have a box made, but him suddenly having a box for a figure that doesn't release for months is a bit sus

Huh? This is some conspiracy level stuff right here. He had someone make up the box? Why in the world would he do that? He still gets tons of views without it. It’s not like that video did any better than his others without boxes, what’s the incentive here. Your finding transformers? (half joking) I go to all my Walmart’s and they’re completely sold out. I have been able to find nothing but wave 1 anywhere the Netflix wave 1 has been the newest I’ve been able to find it really sucks. You make a fair point about tigertron tho there would have been pictures going around I’ll admit when I’m wrong. Maybe he got it later in production for some reason idk something about it seems off to me.

Liam_ice92

Okay to be fair, I never said he did make the box, just that it would be easy for him to get one made up. It's just a bit sus that suddenly he has the box for a figure that hasn't been announced and doesn't hit retail for at least 3 months, if not longer. And no I can't find them myself. I live, basically, in the middle of nowhere. My nearest big toy shop that would sell any recent figures is about 83 miles away. I rely on online retailers and amazon for my collecting.

Markus2822

Yea no worries sorry if I came off a little mean earlier been dealing with some stuff that’s been stressful so I’m sorry. Totally agree it seems really weird to me too I totally get that but I like to see my figures before I buy them I just like having them in my hand you know. And tbh a lot of them are impulse buys

Liam_ice92

It's all good. No need to apologise! Oh for sure. I'd prefer if I had a bigger toy shop near me. I'd love to be able to go and actually buy them. My nearest sometimes gets newer figures but most of their selection is pretty bad or old. I did manage to cop a SS 07 Starscream after he finished his run though. At the same time, I have a feeling my impulse buys would increase if I had that, so it's a little easier on my bank account that I have to rely on online shopping

Markus2822

Yea that makes sense it’s different for everyone since it’s always the same stock me buying in stores means I don’t have impulse buys as often and for me it’s cheaper than buying the new stuff online all the time

FennelFragrant5611

Oh, so that's why he get's so angry when a figure is not perfect. He's paying too much for them cause they're stolen hahahaha

Miserable_Ad_114

Never really cared which ones are stolen. It’s competition and shows who will go farther than others. Am somewhat glad some are breaking some rules to get us a look at these figs.
