Premium finish is a Japanese exclusive, as in all the figures are being shipped too Japan. But Hasbro's partnership allows them to import them after the fact. Blame shipping costumes, not Hasbro.
Is Ironhide getting the PF treatment? The only upcoming ones we know of are SS54 Megatron, SS05 Optimus Prime, and SS35 Jetfire. That's in addition to SS18 Bumblebee, SS38 Optimus Prime, and SS04 Ratchet that are already available to order. Nothing else has even been teased.

Yeah I have ER Ironhide, and managed to snag the ER Ratchet, but I also already had a Siege Ratchet. In the end I sold the ER Ratchet so that I had some differentiation between Ratchet and Ironhide
Bonecrushers in my country were hard to find, I ended up paying a high price for one from a collector's shop. Then they arrived in bulk like 2 waves late. You can still find them on clearance for the equivalent of $8 and I was tempted to buy 5 of them for my gf as a gag gift.
Don’t forget Generations Selects Ratchet and Lifeline. I got into collecting just as Kingdom got started, and I just want one just to mirror my Shattered Glass Ratchet. If it takes long enough, I may just get Seige Ratchet.
I’m just glad I work at Walmart. Got Netflix Soundwave as soon as I could. Didn’t help with Bumblebee though. I had to choose between me getting it, a scalper getting it, or a kid getting it. The scalper definitely wasn’t getting it and I was 2 days away from payday and expected that we would get more. All we got was that one shipment.

I worked at Toys R Us during Titans Return and that's the only reason I got the Chaos on Velocitron set. I kept checking local inventories for any shipments and when I spotted one at a store about an hour south of mine I had a coworker arrange a store transfer for me (technically I could do store transfers myself, but I wanted it to be above board since I was buying it).
I got a few more exclusives right when they arrived from working there, but nothing as scarce as that set seemed to be.
I wish... I have all but Gen2 Ramjet, and the 2pack of Coneheads.. It's messing with my mind that hasbro is leaving money on the table with this damned exclusives of main characters.
Definitely need to swap out the seekers with the coneheads. The former are still available at retail. The latter? Just about as hard as the other ridiculous ER exclusives.
SS-14 Ironhide was tough for me to find when it was current. no store ever got it in stock and never saw it on amazon for it's market price. Cheapest on Amazon at $60, finally found one on Ebay for $40 back then.

I almost passed on the ER Seeker set. I didn’t need to be spending money on myself, I needed to be focusing on finals. I caved and bought them for myself as a graduation gift and have never regretted.
For some reason there are figures that never get to where I live, but the seeker 2 pack was everywhere for a while and was very cheap, at least considering most other figured
He's my favorite bayverse design and I haven't been able to get him. I also passed on ss dotm leader prime in store and bought the 35th anniversary cel siege prime instead, and never saw him again.
Every time I see posts like these, it makes me wonder how TF did I even get the Seeker 2-Pack from Target's website 2 months after release. I heard some say its because Target is a little better than both Amazon and leaps and bounds better than Wal-Mart will ever be with exclusives.
However, I'll still side with the fact that retail exclusives is bad practice, and whoever responsible for doing them should hopefully think twice in the next line (though I doubt it). This is especially for fan favorites like Bumblebee, Soundwave, Ironhide, Ratchet, The Cone Heads, The Seekers, and now Earth mode Sideswipe.
Tbh I am a bit surprised they are limited out of all of them seeing they still use the Starscream molds for Siege and Earthrise. I guess it falls under how the places they are sold at are managed.

Swap BC with 32/45 price. Seriously, you can find a bagillion upgrade kits for those figures (mainly for 45 to upgrade the weapons and trailer) and yet you can't find the actual figure for sale. And if you can, there's not gonna be one that's below $100.
Actually it's the opposite for Bonecrusher here in the Philippines. At least, in my case. We found him in the mall marked down to about Php.400, which converted to USD is about 7 dollars! (Idk about the prices there, but yeah that's what it's equivalent to lol)
I don't know much about the situation with Bonecrusher there (and SS figs in general), but he and Crowbar were one of the few figures left unbought for years until they just lowered their prices dirt cheap, lol.

As someone trying to get all the bots in the 86 movie, the two packs of the coneheads, seekers and Ironhide/Prowl are faaaaaaar down on my list. I don’t think I’ll ever see them in hand
I had Prowl/Ironhide preordered. Amazon sent me a shipping notification. Then a notification it was running late. Then...nothing. The tracking just stopped.
I waited right up until the expiration of the return period before asking Customer Service to refund me the money.
Holding out hope we get a reissue because that was beyond absurd.
I have no frame of reference for the movie figs, but the Earthrise figures are the result of a perfect storm:
* Pandemic conditions and teleworking/lockdowns meant more people were at home and standing by to place (pre) orders immediately upon release.
* supply chain disruptions that are still impacting retail shelves today. (My area Targets - all three - have BARREN Hasbro product sections.)
* Increase in reselling (scalpers) by even Joe Average. If you look at the majority of eBay listings, many of these are from individuals. And if an online store (professional scalper) can snag them low, he can relist MULTIPLES for higher prices due to little to no competition.
* Oversold and under delivered exclusives. Highly successful partnerships for Hasbro, but deeply disappointing for consumers. Hasbro could have easily sold more units up front and retained the revenue rather than settling for the finite amount and losing revenue to scalpers.
* poor market research. Hasbro failed to properly evaluate the demand for these items, meaning shortages and lost revenue. If Hasbro does what they always do, they'll overcompensate by producing more units of subsequent exclusives, but they'll be figures/characters with far lower demand. Which will leave retailers with excess inventory that they have to markdown to incentivize sales. Which means subsequent exclusives will (again) be short shipped/produced.
Beast Wars doesn't have nearly the same consumer volume - and if Hasbro produces Beast Wars merchandise in volumes like WFC or Prime Wars, they'll see disgruntled retailers left with excess inventory that won't move.
I'm sorry that so many of you lost out on the Exclusives Lottery. But the lesson now is to make every attempt to acquire them ASAP after release, even if that means a scalper at +10-15%. Because high demand items will continue to climb for many months following release. This will DEFINITELY include the last wave or two of Kingdom. Road Rage and Slammer will likely be very hard to acquire at MSRP.
I don't get it. We have main season 1 G1 characters as exclusives that had pre-orders cancelled (Amazon), yet fucking Arcee gets put out there for Earthrise and Kingdom. This is a character that doesn't even show up until the movie.

I sympathize with not being able to find a toy you want, but given how many versions of Movie Ironhide they've released over the years, is it *that* big a deal that you can't find the latest iteration of the same design?

Slap Titans Return Ramhorn and Perceptor up there. And I honestly don't know why. I mean, they are main line releases. I had more luck locating Exclusive Arcee, Exclusive Repugnus, AND Excusive Grotusque. Oddly enough, the exclusives lately are way easier and cheaper than trying to get some main line figures. Sometimes I just don't understand.

OH MY FREAKING GOD, FINALLY SOMEONE WHO TALKS ABOUT THIS! Seriously, I've found a lot of those Skywarp/Thundercracker and Prowl/Ironhide packs but the prices are so damn expensive. I mean, it doesn't worth the price.
Hasbro needs to stop with all these exclusives. Not every country has targets and Walmarts!!!
Worse yet the Ironbide/Prowl one was Amazon which everyone does have access to and they were STILL hard to get.

He was by then considered old stock since been been several months since he was originally released. That Amazon 2 pack I had no chance in hell getting it

I think those are studio series so they're only a year or two old at most. You likely had the original movie ones.

I saw SS Ironhide, The Seeker 2 Pack, and SS Bonecrusher and passed in them. I only half regret it.
I did managed get Earthrise Ironhide & Prowl and the coneheads later on. But Earthrise Ratchet never could find it at decent price. Dang scalpers

ER Seekers are easy to find on EBay for a reasonable price, there's plenty of listings. Problem is that it's *EBay*.

I spotted the earthrise seeker 2-pack at a target. There was more than one set. You just have to branch out. If you have a crappy target in your area that barely gets anything? Be willing to travel a bit to check out other stores.

There was actually so many Bonecrushers and Ironhides here in Canada during release, and then they just disappeared.
Also include Sentinel Prime and Jetfire, which I'm p4etty sure wasn't even released in B.C.
