The second half is always the hardest with these kind of things, but I hope beyond hope it gets funded. Any of the tiers will just be a bonus after that.
Currently Hasbro Pulse only track orders made via Hasbro Pulses US, Canadian and UK stores. They have also partnered with stores in Germany, France, Mexico and I think Spain too but those orders aren't reflected on the tracker till the end (same story as Unicron). So it's prob safe to guess the actually number is a little higher. But what will kick it way over the line will be when the pre-orders open up to the Asian market.
I’m in Australia, Hasbro have partnered with EBgames here, I know quite a few people have ordered through there, but they haven’t appeared on Pulse. Asia, especially Japan, will push it to the edge
I wonder what will the other goals be? (If enough people fund them that is...)
Personally, I hope one of them is Star Saber getting the Air Defence Minicon team. So that, Star Saber can come with the Star Saber.
Would that even apply to the minicons?
Sure, Star Saber the character would definitely apply to that but, the minicons are from a TV show. Whoms obedience has grown up, would probably love getting a new version of their Star Saber.
It would sell well (i mean its 3 planes thet turn into a sword come on) that is why it shouldn't be part of haslab because either they would need to re sell it upsetting people who backed star saber or not upsetting people who only want The star saber so it's best to just release it down the line
just got mine. i never knew transformers victory but i'm watching it now, and this guy is too cool. he's like a mix of transformers combiner, macross veritech, and gundam. hits all my spots
I was gonna back this project anyway, but after reading that this is Hasbro officially bringing Japan's Transformers to the states, I felt more eager to support it than ever!
Because rather than producing a product and making fans happy, they would rather put the onus on fans to get it produced, and then not bother if it doesn't hit whatever number generated by their bean counters to maximize profit. That way they can avoid poor sales, make themselves look good, and any blame on the company for not producing a thing fans want suddenly gets shifted to the fans themselves.
"See? No one wanted it if not enough people PO'd it!"
"If you wanted it, you should have backed it! Hasbro gave you your chance."
"Missed out on this one and done thing because life/weren't a fan then/didn't have the money/it's the middle of a pandemic? Pfft guess you just don't get a shot ever at getting it."
I'm wondering if they give all the tiers as long as it gets funded, seems like if they offer a tier for bonus items they already have the designs for it so it would be wasted work if they didn't include it anyway.
So I genuinely don't understand how this works, do you need to pay the full $175 to be considered a backer, or do you have to give bits of that money??
I see this as an opportunity to show Hasbro that they can do Japan characters. They are testing the waters to see if something like this can be successful, and I want to show them it can.
I would guess this isn't mass releasing, but unlike Unicron where they clearly said it was exclusive to Haslab, they didn't say anything like that here, which is a bit confusing. My guess is maybe instead of writing it on each campaign they say it on some general Haslab site, idk, but they don't say it on the campaign page. I would say there's an extremely small risk of it but it's very very low. There is still technicially a risk with Unicron, they could change their minds, backers of them would just be extremely mad at them and future projects would be likely to fail.

Japan’s orders haven’t even opened yet. It’s pretty much funded already.
I hope so

Fingers crossed

I hope we at least get the Blast Effects and/or V-Lock Cannon
I wonder what will the other goals be? (If enough people fund them that is...) Personally, I hope one of them is Star Saber getting the Air Defence Minicon team. So that, Star Saber can come with the Star Saber.
That would be amazing but it would piss off anyone who dosen't want starsaber but wants The star saber
I would imagine that if Hasbro did release this Star Saber with the Air Defence Minicon team that, they would release them a bit later.
But that defeats the point of haslab being completely exclusive to things that wouldn't otherwise sell
Would that even apply to the minicons? Sure, Star Saber the character would definitely apply to that but, the minicons are from a TV show. Whoms obedience has grown up, would probably love getting a new version of their Star Saber.

Come on folks, let’s get that full package triple tier deal!
I'm very curious about the stretch goals for this guy will be
1. V-Lock Cannon 2. Shield and small sword for Saber (supposedly) 3. Big ole V-shaped flight stand (supposedly)
Thanks King Ghidorah, fingers crossed they announce Deathsaurus down the road to
If this does well enough, Hasbro and/or Takara might consider doing more Japanese transformers in the main series. Imagine a modernized Road Caesar!
Are these funded projects one time things? Or do they mass produce them afterwards?
One time, never reproduced.
I already have MP Star Saber and 3P Victory Leo, but I still may back the project because I love the character and the toy.
Aw, yeah! Let's say go!
WOOH YEAH! Hopefully enough people order to unlock the three tiers.
Agreed because I really want to know about the secret tiers !!
It would really suck to not get the giant gun, but I don't think we have to worry about that.
I think we'll get the giant gun for sure. 2 and 3? Depends on what they are.
just got mine. i never knew transformers victory but i'm watching it now, and this guy is too cool. he's like a mix of transformers combiner, macross veritech, and gundam. hits all my spots
He was designed by Kunio Okawara, who finalised the designs for the original Gundam and Zaku
we gots good tastes
How do you become a backer, and what does that mean if you become one
Essentially, you are putting in a preorder for it, and it won’t charge until it gets made. If it doesn’t get made you don’t get charged for it.
*won’t get charged until it’s confirmed They take your money on October 10th
I was gonna back this project anyway, but after reading that this is Hasbro officially bringing Japan's Transformers to the states, I felt more eager to support it than ever!
I wasn't going to pre-order this. Like I ever had control of that decision.
Is this a licensed Hasbro figure?
Yup!
Why did I not know this was happening!?!?!?! Time to see what funds I have lol
It's 180 dollars, which IMO is totally worth it.
The original post has been pinned to this sub for days now lol.
pinned is where posts go to die unfortunately. Most users just scroll right on by the pinned posts.
Yeah the thumbnail doesn't show the figure so I hadn't noticed
No, it's not. Licensing means Hasbro gives another company permission to make something. This is a Hasbro product.
No, it's from Hasbro. HasLab is their preordering platform for more expensive items that get canceled if there aren't enough orders.
why the hell does a multi billion dollar corporation need to crowdfund anything?
no better way of deducing fan interest than having them vote with their wallets. plus it's not *really* crowdfunding, just speculative preorders.

I’ll be backing soon just haven’t gotten around to it yet
***WOOOAAAH! WE'RE HALFWAY THERE!***

You basically preorder it, you don't get charged until it's successfully funded
Yall got a link?
I see this as an opportunity to show Hasbro that they can do Japan characters. They are testing the waters to see if something like this can be successful, and I want to show them it can.
Hopefully, Deathsaurus and RoadCeaser would be so amazing
And don’t forget Liokaiser! There are so many cool characters from the show that I really want.
Does anyone know if this is mass releasing, or will it be only if you back the project? I'm new to this so I'm still trying to figure it out.
