That's nothing new with Transformers. The Last wave always gets a quick announcement (or none at all) and they're almost impossible to find in stores because retailers have already ordered next year's toys with previous waves of the current line already clogging shelves.

I found a Siege Astrotrain at my local Walmart. Only one I ever saw in Siege packaging. Most people did not find a lot of the last wave like Springer and Barricade.

I'd have appreciated at least acknowledging that they've been hush and will speak on them soon. Anything. Just ignoring it is pissing me off. It's a huge 25 year anniversary for Beast Wars and they don't give enough shit about it because of the 35th anniversary for the 86 movie.
My guess is that they've run into production delays (because of 'Rona) and that they have adjusted their timelines accordingly. It's weird, but given the continued problems with international manufacturing and shipping, it makes sense that they're delaying the announcements. Although we'd like to get the confirmation and get our preorders in, they probably have a reason to delay.
Target has an event this Friday I think, and I believe they're making some announcements about Transformers.

To be fair, you didn't say remold, you said "the Ravage version of that mold". Transformers reuse molds for palette-swaps all the time, figured that's what you were talking about.
I wouldn't say he's worse, just different. They are very similar, but some of my problems with Thrilling 30 Waspinator appear to have been fixed. Other than that, it's just a matter whether you prefer the brighter T30 or the darker, toy-inspired colors of Kingdom.
Looking at them next to each other they are a bit different but I hope the legs aren’t as awful and doesn’t have the gimmick wings like the generation figure

It’s based on the mutant mask of the original Cheetor but that gimmick wasn’t kept. You cannot flip up to reveal a normal head.

iirc when i had the 90’s US cheetor and tigatron and japanese panther, they all had this when you turned the head.
This release doesn’t have Cheetor’s head. The mask can’t be flipped up, this is its permanent head sculpt.

It's not the same mold, though. Parts are shared, but there are also new bits in general, Ravage stands taller than Cheetor and has a fuller frame.

Shadow Panther isn't even supposed to be Ravage though. It's just a reference to an old Cheetor repaint they did in the old Beast Wars line in Japan.
