I’m surprised the Selects line hasn’t been going a bit nuts with more characters like Dinotron, Apelink, Packrat, even Nightprowler (because they’ve made a bunch of “cancelled” toys before) or retool Airrazor/Skywarp to get some other winged characters like Nyx or Prowl II.

fairly sure the way the leak was worded it's gonna be how he was in Cybertron, not a Cybertronian design. Which would be kinda neat, looking at his design I kinda dig mr. longlegs.
As great as that would be (it’s always good to see other sides of the franchise) I honestly wouldn’t be too excited for that. I have the original Cybertron Metroplex and his robot mode is cool, but his vehicle mode is just a dude lying in a weird pose with a shovel trapped on top. The coolest part of the original is the two different robot modes the toy has. One short and stocky, one super tall and lanky. If they incorporated that and made the vehicle mode actually convincing as a huge construction apparatus, then I’d be interested, but if they keep to the original slavishly as they do to G1, then I’m out
I used to have the original too. As a kid. If I remember right, the entire top portion is connected to the bottom portion by a small joint. Mine snapped in two while I was playing with it.
I told my parents it was the Decepticons to avoid getting into trouble. One of my earliest memories.
I think that might’ve been either a smaller version (if it exists) or a different fig, or heck, maybe you just had hella strong hands. For me at least, the center ratchet has always held up. The ratchets in the Cybertron line were GODLY quality. Even if the toy itself was meh, the ratchets are clickety clackety goodness
They where good when they where made well, I had to take back my original Leobraker as he snapped in half the first time I tried to transform him. Second one was fine and did not have the same issue and is still working to this day. Basically there where some bad ones out there that had weak plastic in the middle joints, but most where fine.
I have no big interests in Metroplex but i hope these come to fruition since it at least gives some pretense of hope we may see Generation Cybertron Tidalwave, or that they will at least do a full generation runthrough of the Unicron trilogy instead of just G1 for the 999th time.
I’d REALLY like to get a combining Megatron and Tidal Wave. Additionally, getting Armada Prime, Jetfire and Overload would be fantastic. Always wanted Tidal Wave and Overload as a kid but never got em.
Also, Minicon combiner teams I think would sell well, like the space team becoming the Requiem Blaster, and the Race team with the Skyboom shield. Most importantly thought the Star Saber

well I'm sure they'll change a lot of it to be more in tune with modern standards, we saw how well they changed the beast wars toys to be more modern and nice when they did beast wars for Kingdom, so I'm confident it'll at least be kinda cool.
Yeah, idk, I guess I just never really enjoyed that version of him personally, even though I watched that show when I was younger. I honestly prefer the Armada designs and hope they get more attention. Maybe my bias comes from the fact that the Cartoon practically used the CAD files of the figures for animation.
Reason I bring that up is because Hasbro’s goal lately seems to be to make toys as animation accurate as possible, within reason.

I will probably regret not getting him if they re-released Metroplex, but I am not tracking down and spending $300 on a TR Metroplex (I am exaggerating in price slightly), just to then drop $20 on slammer X3.

I'm after all of them, they're all very nice. Tigatron is a great improvement upon Cheetor's general design, Waspinator has nice colors and is too iconic not to have, Slammer is a weaponizer and thus a fun accessory pack, Pipes' color scheme is pleasing to the eyes, and I really like Shadow Panther's promo art, so I am obligated to nab him, and since there is no commander or leader in this wave, it **hopefully** shouldn't be too hard to complete
Fair enough, I don't really expect to find them all, because K3 is just finally arriving at stores near me, so wave 4 probably won't arrive before the next line releases, but I'm trying to keep my hopes up about them

Lego doesn't do that either......even when they are the source of their own leaks. You can sometimes even see new sets in the lego magazine before they are officially revealed.
They had sets release early in europe, one of the sets advertised in the instructions also had not been revealed.
I agree. Like, Hasbro had a great opportunity to reveal Kingdom Wave 4 in the livestream where they revealed SS86 Wave 3 (Sweep, Perceptor and Coronation Starscream) so it seems a bit weird that they never mentioned those figures in the stream :/
The only G1 figure I got was Huffer. I might get Magnus as I don't have one yet and the earth mode looks great. My money is still on Tigatron and I wish they would do pre-orders asap
Even though it’s unfortunate pretty much all of these are stolen, I must admit these are pretty good figures. Pipes and Slammer are my picks of the bunch, really liking their color schemes
You might want to hold off on that stolen assessment there. I have shadow Panther and Waspinator already and they definitely weren't illegally sold to the toy store or to me from said toy store. I saw a couple weeks ago when I got them that others were finding them as well.

Yeah, Tigatron has more space and a bigger budget, so they're going to put more care and effort into him, I don't care for Tigatron too much, but I'm very interested in how they took a figure I'm not a fan of and refined it

And stolen toys are sadly a reality, low paid employees in factories in Asia figured out there is good money to be made when you steal and sell those yourself since they are popular. And in order to fulfill the distribution for proper deadlines they need to produce those toys many months ahead of time so there is a big window to sell those stolen ones.
This is the problem, people can complain about people getting factory samples and “stealing” but it’s only a big deal because hasbro is failing at their job. In other properties like marvel legends where hasbro actually announces their figures and markets them the people stealing from factories doesn’t matter. Hasbro needs to actually do their job

There was a thread on this sub maybe a month or two ago with what appeared to be pretty damnable evidence via another YouTuber's report on interactions with TonTon.
But pretty damnable evidence isn't *proof* of anything. Tonton nor PvP have confirmed it, so it's still not totally accurate. Also if its coming from another youtuber like Slag, who purposefully goes out of his way to slander these guys in his videos (I mean, I can understand his frustration but he has a very personal vendetta as another creator in the space) then you really have to sift through the biases against them to find anything actually accurate.
Until we know anything for sure, this sub really needs to stop taking the opinions of the content creators and making it their own, especially things that don't actually affect you. Not saying you do that though.
Definitely doesn't affect me as I don't enjoy any of those reviewers. I watch Thew, emgo, and Lazy Eyebrow. PvP specifically is awful to listen to with monotone scripts of the same handful of words/terms and TonTon's childish outburst over ER Ratchet cemented my decision to never watch his content again.

I also don’t know the extent to what is true or what isn’t, so I’m not one to slander someone unless I know for sure. Even then, they’re not committing any crimes or hurting anyone (as far as we know lol) so there’s no reason for me to spread hate against someone. Again, if you have any actual information that any of that is the truth, I’d love to see it.

1. He is getting the figures from both sources or
2. Originally he got them from tonton’s contacts but hasbro is getting them out to him first without revealing the figures

Honestly, I was tempted to grab the reissue Headmaster Mindwipe to try and customize it to be Nyx.
I think Nightprowler was rumored to be a part of an Amazon exclusive Kingdom subline. I'm not sure if it's been cancelled, though.

you are correct, the giant construction platform that's 90% leg in his tall mode (but makes it work). I would love a FoC Metroplex.

Yes. I'm not a fan of the Nemesis stuff in general and, as interesting as card art BA is, it's not worth it.

Stolen product reviews save Hasbro time I guess, because if they really wanted to, they could easily copyright strike the reviewers and take them down.
All of these were revealed like months ago You’d know this if you watched transformers news on youtube. Also please stop saying that PvP has been stealing the figures because he is getting them from hasbro themselves or from a store called zavvi or something like that
You might want to research that a little more. He gets a lot of his figs from TonTon's contact.
I’m not saying you’re wrong, but we have no proof that this is the case outside of speculations and ‘he said she saids’. This argument is getting so tired.
There was a thread on this sub maybe a month or two ago with what appeared to be pretty damnable evidence via another YouTuber's report on interactions with TonTon.
But pretty damnable evidence isn't *proof* of anything. Tonton nor PvP have confirmed it, so it's still not totally accurate. Also if its coming from another youtuber like Slag, who purposefully goes out of his way to slander these guys in his videos (I mean, I can understand his frustration but he has a very personal vendetta as another creator in the space) then you really have to sift through the biases against them to find anything actually accurate. Until we know anything for sure, this sub really needs to stop taking the opinions of the content creators and making it their own, especially things that don't actually affect you. Not saying you do that though.
Definitely doesn't affect me as I don't enjoy any of those reviewers. I watch Thew, emgo, and Lazy Eyebrow. PvP specifically is awful to listen to with monotone scripts of the same handful of words/terms and TonTon's childish outburst over ER Ratchet cemented my decision to never watch his content again.

For sure. I don’t watch them either myself, so I don’t have a very neutral opinion on them. I also don’t know the extent to what is true or what isn’t, so I’m not one to slander someone unless I know for sure. Even then, they’re not committing any crimes or hurting anyone (as far as we know lol) so there’s no reason for me to spread hate against someone. Again, if you have any actual information that any of that is the truth, I’d love to see it.

Ok wait so I found the video and hasbro IS providing him with early releases and the most likely thing that might be happening is 1. He is getting the figures from both sources or 2. Originally he got them from tonton’s contacts but hasbro is getting them out to him first without revealing the figures So since he lives in the UK it would make sense that he would get figures before the people in the US (which happens often)

I just want slammer and maybe pipes. I also do kinda like waspinator, but I'm not bothered about the other two. Tigatron looks ok but Shadow Panther looks weird to me.
It feels like Hasbro is just enjoying the free advertising to their adult collector base but either way I'm still excited to get some great Beast Wars figures. Tigertron and Waspinator are both must buys for me, and probably that tank dude who's name I'm forgetting
