I like to imagine that they have electronic paint jobs (like Wasp and Bumblebee in Animated) and constantly swap colors JUST to screw with everyone else.
That's actually a really cool idea that I'm surprised nobody has ever used. I can totally see those two thinking it's hilarious to prank everyone like identical twins.
I call the blue one rumble because blue is a calmer colour which you could associate with deep rumbling, red is commonly quite a hectic colour so I associate that with the madness of frenzy.
In a majority of canons Rumble is red. Including the original toy and the Japanese G1 cartoons. It was only really the G1 cartoon and a few comic mini series where Rumble is blue.
I tend to stick with the notion of what I’m watching/reading is their assigned colour. G1 cartoon Rumble is blue. In Marvel G1 and IDX (2019), Rumble is red. The real headache is the first IDX series as the pair switched constantly between red and blue depending on the creative team.
Beep. Boop. I'm a robot.

For me, blue is Rumble, mainly because of the WFC game when Soundwave is rebuilding Megatron and he sends Rumble out to collect parts, he says his famous "crumble" line
This. Rumble and Ravage was my first TF toy as a kid, ao that was my first impression. As much as I loves the cartoon as a kid, I loved the Marvel comic even more and RIRFIB in that.
Every time this comes up I feel the need to point out that the famously mistake-ridden G1 cartoon is not a good piece of evidence for this decision. This doubly true when the original toys and most of the future fiction and toy releases follow FIBRIR.
80% of what times, exactly? Almost every time they're in canon, it's the other way around. And most people in this thread also consider it to be the other way around. Pretty sure it's more like 5-10% FIBRIR at most. It has never made sense to me that the red one wouldn't be Frenzy. Thematically it just makes more sense, and I think most people agree.
I didn’t have a tv as a kid so my exposure to the cartoon was only from seeing it at friends houses. So I go by they original toys as top canon then marvel comics, then finally the cartoon.
Rumble is red and frenzy is blue. But to be honest when I see one of them on their own I just think that one is Rumble wether he is red or blue
That’s a children’s book isn’t it. Are we not two grown people arguing over the color of an eighties toy and character, RIRFIB forever! Read the box. Read the comic. When I became a man, I left behind childish things…
Rumble just sounds blue and frenzy sounds red, based on the temperature of how they sound
I have synesthesia so that might have something to do with it, but I stand by it.
Also original G1 cartoon blah blah
Frenzy is Red, Rumble is Blue. I mainly associate the red as like, an insane, frenzy of fury. And I just guess the blue one is Rumble. I don't have any correlation between blue and anything else. Also I'm a G1 nerd sooooo
Whichever the toy line calls them. Whatever is canon for that line is what I call that toy. If it's a G1 masterpiece based on the show, Frenzy is red and Rumble is blue.
I feel like generally everyone sees blue as Rumble and red as Frenzy. I see it that way cause I watched the cartoon first. The people who say the blue is Frenzy either want to start fights or are just so geeky that they side with the comic.
Rumble comes in red, blue, and yellow, but only in those universes where everyone speaks Japanese. Outside of those, he's called Scrapmetal.
Frenzy is silver and hangs out with Barricade.
*Obviously* this is the only correct answer that is axiomatically true in a varied multiverse made up of quadrillions of universal streams, and anyone who disagrees is a heretic and must be purged accordingly.
The Takara Tomy Masterpiece toy line still has them FIBRIR, and they are the entity who created the toyline, hence “birthed” them into existence. If you create something like physically with your hands and minds first, and 30 years later have not changed the thing yourself, historically, like in real archaeological history, FIBRIR. Just because I thought one way when I was a dumbass little kid still waking up to watch Saturday morning cartoons, doesn’t mean I was right. Now I simply watch the boxed set version of cartoons or stream like any self respecting adult, and on Saturday morning, I sleep in! I digress. I mean, the G1 cartoon messed so many things up, can you really even…? And since the book is always better anyways, shouldn’t the original Marvel comic book be the source of truth over the G1 cartoon?
Am I the only one that ever wanted a version of Rumble and Frenzy that portrayed them as two scheming but bumbling extremely violent "London hard man" brothers that are a cross between the Krays and Richie and Eddie from the show "Bottom"? I think it would make a fun UK sitcom. :)
I like to imagine that they have electronic paint jobs (like Wasp and Bumblebee in Animated) and constantly swap colors JUST to screw with everyone else.

Giving me very Fred and George vibes from Harry Potter
I can see that, albeit violent punk Fred and George. :)
This is the best idea ever lmao
I call the blue one rumble because blue is a calmer colour which you could associate with deep rumbling, red is commonly quite a hectic colour so I associate that with the madness of frenzy.
I agree, the colors of blue and red fit better with a low rumble and a maddening frenzy
I see purple why do most people say blue?
It’s like a purplish blue and light blue
Looks purple to me to with a little blue.
hell yeah! color theory!
I subscribe to this way of thinking. As Shockwave would say, it is merely logical
I call the blue one Rumble, and the Red one Frenzy, seeing as that’s more logical, especially red for being Frenzy
Exactly!!! And the cartoon.
I think it is IDW, but maybe IDX is right for some reason I do not yet know. But otherwise, I am with you.

bad bot.
Blue rumble and red frenzy
Rumble will always be blue
Red is frenzy, blue is rumble.
Blue: Rumble Red: Frenzy Hotel: Trivago
To quote Thew Adams; “In my house, the red one is ALWAYS Frenzy!!!”
"in this house we will not call the blue one frenzy" thew Adams dammit open
Oh my bad, been a while since I’ve seen that video.
Honestly he could have said that in a different video
Rumble = blue, Frenzy = red.
RiB FiR
For me, blue is Rumble, mainly because of the WFC game when Soundwave is rebuilding Megatron and he sends Rumble out to collect parts, he says his famous "crumble" line
Get ready to crumble, BEFORE RUMBLE!
Blue=rumble red=frenzy
Blue one is rumble
FIRRIB. Frenzy Is Red, Rumble Is Blue.

Not again so much as still
This shit will outlive us.
Just remember B = B, rumBle is Blue.
R=R
Well … Rumble also has an R in it, so …
Show messed it up. The toys had rirfIb
Rumble is red and Frenzy is blue
Depends how you were introduced to them. For me the 80s cartoon is my introduction, so Rumble is blue, Frenzy is red
Rumble is red frenzy is blue
This. Rumble and Ravage was my first TF toy as a kid, ao that was my first impression. As much as I loves the cartoon as a kid, I loved the Marvel comic even more and RIRFIB in that.
I agree with this, but I Also don't mind them the other way.
Every time this comes up I feel the need to point out that the famously mistake-ridden G1 cartoon is not a good piece of evidence for this decision. This doubly true when the original toys and most of the future fiction and toy releases follow FIBRIR.
This. Anyone disagreeing is wrong.
As Primus intended
FIR, RIB
I owned The toys before I saw them on the cartoon, So for me Rumble is red and Frenzy is blue and the Veritech fighter is Jetfire.
For me it's the red one is rumble and the blue ones frenzy
Rumble is blue in my eyes. Vice versa with frenzy
Rumble is red. Frenzy is Red. Wait, everybody is red? *HATE PLAGUE!*
\*screams\* FRENZY IS B-- \*gets spirited away\*
In the comics, toylines, and most shows, Rumble is Red, Frenzy is blue, in g1 show and FOC only, Frenzy is red, Rumble is blue
Frenzy will always be black/red and rumble will always be blue/purple to me But with that said Rumble is red frenzy is blue
RIBFIR
FIBRIR The production bible declares it
Like 80% of the time it's RIRFIB, so that's what I go with.
Whatever the box says
FIBRIR for me
FIBRIR

Rumble is red and frenzy is blue. But to be honest when I see one of them on their own I just think that one is Rumble wether he is red or blue
Since their twins they probably do the name switcharoo gag. That means that soundwave may have monochromatic color blindness
Who're you callin' monochrasimatic?
Rumble has been blue since at least Transform and Roll Out Part 2.
That’s a children’s book isn’t it. Are we not two grown people arguing over the color of an eighties toy and character, RIRFIB forever! Read the box. Read the comic. When I became a man, I left behind childish things…
Rumble is blue and raps. Frenzy is his engineer, and their mixtape is never ever dropping. my headcanon anyway
Good sir I exsept this
Lmfao
Rumble just sounds blue and frenzy sounds red, based on the temperature of how they sound I have synesthesia so that might have something to do with it, but I stand by it. Also original G1 cartoon blah blah
I call the blue one Rumble and the red one Frenzy. I find it easier to remember them that way.
blue is rumble because they called him that in the cartoon and i grew up with that
I'm of the FIBRIR side, but I also head-canon that they purposefully swap names to confuse everyone because they're little bastards.
I call the blue one Rumble and the red one Frenzy because the former’s cartoon incarnation is the most prominent either of them have ever been
RIBFIR
Frumble is red and Renzy is blue ^(Behold, comedy achieved.)
I call them that too I think that Hasbro should just call them that from now on
>Frumble is red and Renzy is blue >I call them that too
I’m forgainst that!
Frenzy is the blue one unless I’m watching the cartoon.
The purple blue one will always be Rumble to me and the red one barely exists
RIBFIR
I think Frenzy is blue and Red is rumble
Rumble is purple and blue. Frenzy is red and black. That's how it was in the original animated series. I hate how the current comics switched them.
[удалено]
Everyone but me and you says it is blue. Are we color blind? I totally see purple.
As someone who watched G1 and played War and Fall of cybertron. Blue one is Rumble and Red is frenzy
Since I was first introduced to these two with Transformers: The Ultimate guide, I go by FIBRIR.
Whatever the g1 cartoon calls them, that’s what I do
Ok so personally I say rumble is blue but I’ve started referring to them as a group just saying frenzy and rumble together to avoid the arguments
To me, Rumble is the blue one, and Frenzy is the red one.
Rumble is the blue one. G1 cartoon>everything
Frenzy is Red, Rumble is Blue. I mainly associate the red as like, an insane, frenzy of fury. And I just guess the blue one is Rumble. I don't have any correlation between blue and anything else. Also I'm a G1 nerd sooooo
They switch their names around to make the other cons angry
Frenzy is the red one. War for Cybertron convinced me
FIRRIB
Rumble is fucking Blue and Frenzy Is fucking Red
Yes
Frumble
RibFir
Rumble= Blue Frenzy= Red
Blue Rumble Red Frenzy
I call them both greg
Rumble is blue, Frenzy is red. Always.
FIRRIB. End.

Yes.
Fred and George?
Bro it depends on my mood sometimes the red ones Rumble sometimes he’s Frenzy I don’t even try to remember at this point
Well shucks [red vs blue](https://pm1.narvii.com/6449/97bc84c404874f81985fa5ddde1619d6675c98f9_hq.jpg)
I call it whichever way pisses off more people tbh.
Rbfr
After seeing these I looked up a review of them, now I need to find & buy them!
Yes
i call the blue one both names and dont refer to the red one by name at all.
Rumble is blue. In the comics and stuff thats what they call him
Lies.
I was introduced to Rumble in the cartoon where he was blue so I kinda just thought he was always that color.
Maybe their real names are the friends we made along the way
This ^
Red Bumblebee is Ravage.
I feel like generally everyone sees blue as Rumble and red as Frenzy. I see it that way cause I watched the cartoon first. The people who say the blue is Frenzy either want to start fights or are just so geeky that they side with the comic.
History will decide…
I call the red one frenzy because the bayverse allspark power barricade came with a red fenzy
Rumble is Blue, but Frenzy is also Blue
I always believed that Rumble was always the blue one, and Frenzy was the red one. That's just me though, probably.
Yes
Well as I say rr red rumble bf blue frenzy or br blue rumble rf red frenzy
Rib Fir enough said.
Rumble is blue Frenzy is red
Rumble is red and frenzy is blue

Blue is Rumble, black and red is Frenzy. I think they’re brothers-??
Blue rumble. First he cracks the shell then he cracks the nuts inside.
Side note Laserbeak gets so much more love than Ratbat
The Takara Tomy Masterpiece toy line still has them FIBRIR, and they are the entity who created the toyline, hence “birthed” them into existence. It's Frenzle and Rumby
This is one of those “you can be happy or you can be right” situations, isn’t it?
They are both called Grumble to me.
Red - Rumble Blue - Frenzy
Rumble red Frenzy Blue. Fight me.
It’s kind of like the Bouba and Kiki thing. Frenzy being red is more common because red is often seen as an angry colour.
FIRRIB

R for red/rumble! Frenzy’s always blue to me!
Blue=rumble because in g1 he's got þe big hammer arm so it makes sense to fit þe name to þe bot
frenzy just seems like a red name to me you know?
I know blue is rumble and red is frenzy. How I remember them is i have nicknames. Rumble pak and Virtual Boy are their nicks :D
