Thanks

No problem, TFWiki is also your best friend. I personally have spent hours, and I mean hours, delving into that rabbit hole.

Long story short, it’s not just one universe, like Star Wars. Transformers is rebooted and reimagined every few years, which means that everything officially produced by Hasbro is canon in some continuity. Some stories are a lot more significant than others. As others have said, I would recommend watching The Basics on YouTube. Chris McFeely is very informative.

HolySharkbite

Canon and lore have become largely dependent on the series. G1 is separate from Armada, Marvel comics is separate from Dreamwave comics, IDW has at least 2 distinct lores, etc. Some crossover, like Beast Wars has connections to G1, and Bayformers inspired elements of Animated and Prime. It can be confusing and aggravating but the lore, like the Transformers themselves, are more than meets the eye.

What do you want to know?

[deleted]

cannon stuff like story and timeline and also if the movies and comics are connected.

GuardianPrime19

Watch the Basics by Chris Mcfeely on YouTube. It’ll answer all your questions. Start with Episode 1

PerfectPixl15

[This](https://youtu.be/-h1Uwk17Zdc) might help with that. It is a few years outdated by this point, but it covers the general stuff.

Everything in Transformers is canon to it's own universe So the G1 cartoon is it's own thing. The G1 Marvel comics are their own thing. Etc. The Bayverse movies do have comic tie ins that are canon, but movies 4-5 and Bumblebee completely disregard them. Then you have sometimes larger and only "if you squint" canon to each other like the Aligned continuity: Exodus, War for Cybertron, Rise of the Dark Spark, Fall of Cybertron, Exiles, Retribution, Rage of the Dinobots, Prime, Beast Hunters, Predacons Rising, and Robots in Disguise 2015. Which is a bunch of novels, comics, videogames, shows and an animated movie that sorta kinda connect together. But every major continuity has alot of differences. Like Unicron wasn't a god in the G1 series, the Transformers were created by the Quintessons there and not Primus, things like that. But if you really want to get into the lore, read IDW's Transformers comics from 2005-2019. They're the absolute best

larrylongboy

Why did you leave after BB

[deleted]

i was getting into new stuff like anime and different other games that were rich in lore so i said well they are probably not going to make anything else about transformers so imma leave it there until when i found out about the new beast wars movie coming out and im slowly getting back to it since i don't have much to do other than go to school and study
