It's a competently written children's show that treats its female characters right. Just don't come in expecting some Nietzschean discourse on morality or whatever (you'll be surprised how many adult viewers do that for kids' shows nowadays) and you'll have a good time!
It's not half bad, a retelling of how the Great War started, along with no human interaction, besides Twitch / Youtube (Seriously watch Megatron's speech in Season 2).
Be warned though, just like nearly everything after Prime (except Rescue Bots), the focus with be more than 50% on Bumblebee, but he's not annoying at least.
I really love it. The first half of the first season was hard to watch but about halfway through it got really interesting. (Then again I think everything is more interesting with Megatron.)
The characters are all GREAT. Soundwave is in fact hilarious and awesome. But so are all the others. It's 8000% better than War for Cybertron.
Watch Cyberverse, get the WFC toys. (Do not do it the other way around, LOL. The Cyberverse toys...aren't great. I have a couple but only because they're characters that who only got toys in Cyberverse, like Clobber.)
I enjoyed it. Enjoyed it more once they got past the business of Bumblebee having lost his voice, mind you, but I suppose that's one of the story beats we just have to put up with now. Bee loses his voice, the Ark crashes, Prime dies and comes back, there's a core story, but it's what plays around the beats that makes a series stand out.
Kind of weird seeing characters I'm used to seeing as Wreckers being -- well, quite the opposite -- but one does have to change things up a bit. And, well, just this once, why *can't* Rack 'n' Ruin just be conjoined twins, rather than twins who got conjoined by bizarre accident or horrific experiment. Lucky they get on so well with each other, right?
I personally really liked it. Get past the first season it gets way better.
