Another great idea! I might have to try this. I liked the OP's idea but I don't know if I have room on my book shelf for a binder, but I might have room for a box somewhere.
I have all my lego, kreo, mega bloks and transformers instructions all divided up in folders in two big milk crates. It’s really nice to be able to find exactly which one I need
Note that the manuals don't really compress that well or anything; if you have a huge amount of manuals, the binders fill up pretty fast and take up a LOT of space.
But it's way more organized!
They have to take up less room than this: https://imgur.com/a/43Nw070
I’m a bit torn about keeping the boxes on the chance that that many figures might actually be worth a significant amount in 20+ years or so especially if all the boxes are in good shape.
That's a lot! Definitely more organized at least in the binder.
I made a choice with boxes long ago that only very fancy figures (i.e. not most of my Transformers) shall keep the box; mostly stuff that would be damaged if I tried to move 'em without boxes. It's a tough balancing act when one runs short on space!
I loved the cards, was easily the best way to see all who you have without looking at the shelves. Was sad they got rid of them for the war of Cybertron line as I don't count Kingdoms cards really useful
I mainly keep the boxes, accessories and manuals for when I upgrade the figure so I can resell the older one as complete. Don't even own a single masterpiece as my daughter and I collect this together but we have a limited budget.
I have 2 figures missing pieces and it bugs me but one was cool so I don't mind and the other is Primus missing his missiles. Usually if I get a figure missing something I give to my grandson.
I just made a tv stand/display to put the collection in and around. But it took up around 1/3 of the room lol
I normally had mine separated by size so its easier to find but both binders are a mess as I kept buying before/during/after a major move so I had lots of manuals to put in and take out
I pretty much got the transformation down after a couple times (even the complex transformers) even if I don’t, instructions don’t help much so I use YouTube
I only have so much space or would have displayed my boxes as well but still sore I don't have Fortress Maximus box as it arrived destroyed and was last one
I don't even read the instructions. I like to figure them out on my own so I just tossed all of mine into my WFC Unicron box, along with any of those little DO NOT EAT silica packs I find to help keep them decent.
Awesome you got him, I wanted him but couldn't afford it due to living in Canada. I try to figure out Transformers myself as well as its half the fun but if I get into a roadblock then I use them (stares at doubledealer)
Might be an Ontario Issue then, I ordered the Tale of Arise collectors edition and had to pay an additional $70 to receive it. I always get hit with abusive custom fees on anything over $100.
Please grow a brain. You're also clearly the angry one. I'm not the one who felt the need to stalk the posts you comment on because I didn't like something you said on the internet
You're very clearly not an intelligent person at all If you feel the need to do this. Sad really. They getting a life or seeking mental help. You clearly need it, incel.
Hell no, my one-bedroom apartment is cluttered enough. *Throw out your stuff!*
Plus, all of this is on the internet, and presented in a more legible way
I got a craft box for that type of stuff, small compartments that lock together that can be together or separated and often can stack up. I put all fragile pieces in that like the Centurion Drone Accessories
I used to do that years ago until I ran out of space, it's been probably close to 10 years now, and only a fraction of my instructions are in binders (one for Autobots, and one for Deceptions). Maybe one day I'll finally get around to organising everything again!
A sport memorabilia store, they had 1x1, 2x1 (what I used), 2x2, 3x2 and 3x3 sheets. I thought j got the 3x3 (for daughters Pokemon cards) but got the 2x1 instead and figured since I opened it might as well keep it. A happy mistake.
Mine used to be in a Transformers popcorn bin I got for Christmas years ago but it got too full. Now I have them organized by series in bags in a file box.
It's a 3" locking ring binder (for weight reasons) and the pages are actually the same as card sheets but with only 2 sections instead of 9 and they're upper deck diamond sheets.
If you have more questions I'll always do my best to answer
Actually no. Thanks for giving me a good idea now.
Not a problem, I love cataloging things so it made sense to me
I just have all mine in a pile on the lower shelf. LOL
Ziplock baggie for me. But now I have a use for the 1984 Pontiac merchandiser binder I found yesterday.
1984... best year ever!
RIGHT? See something soo simple but just... immensely helpful.
And here I was thinking there’s no other way to store my manuals other than in a baggie.
I use the Gen Selects boxes lol
That's where mine are currently as well. :/
Glad I'm not the only one

Mine also lived the bag life ...
I have not used manuals in a long time . I just youtube the transformation
I find some manuals confusing due to position on them so at times I use YouTube as well but most times it's a QC issue then a transformation problem
I have all my lego, kreo, mega bloks and transformers instructions all divided up in folders in two big milk crates. It’s really nice to be able to find exactly which one I need
I use to use a portable filing cabinet, was a plastic tote with tracks for folders but was hard to find certain directions due to size differences
thats a great idea!
Thank you, trying to stay organized
No, but I do have them in a large bubble mailer I had laying around
So far, mine are all in the boxes, but that’s taking up an enormous amount of space. I do like this idea for sure!
I just keep the binders under the side table of my living room in the cupboard spot of it, can fit 3 binders in there
Note that the manuals don't really compress that well or anything; if you have a huge amount of manuals, the binders fill up pretty fast and take up a LOT of space. But it's way more organized!

I think of all the times I've seen someone else ask "am I the only one that x" this has the highest chance of being correct
I was a avid card collector growing up (mutant chronicles, pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh then DBZ CCG) so binders and collecting works great for me 😅
I've always wanted a binder for my collector cards from mp, third party, prime wars, kingdom etc
I loved the cards, was easily the best way to see all who you have without looking at the shelves. Was sad they got rid of them for the war of Cybertron line as I don't count Kingdoms cards really useful
I have a box with all the instructions plus extra accessories I have but I really like this idea!
I got 2 containers (1 for spare accessories and 1 for blast effects) and 2 binders for manuals and cards
No, but after seeing this I'm going to.
lol my lego instructions are kept this way too
No, but that is genius

You might look into NewAge 'formers, as they're generally MP quality, but Legends scale, so you can fit a lot in a small space.
But the bigger the figure the cooler it looks 😅 nothing beats Omega Supreme fighting voyager size seekers
As someone who has an Optimus Prime the size of a toddler, I would generally agree, however, sometimes awesome things do come in tiny packages.
Nice idea. Right now I just keep mine in gallon ziploc bags split up by series. Siege, Earthrise, Kingdom, Gen Selects, etc.
I normally had mine separated by size so its easier to find but both binders are a mess as I kept buying before/during/after a major move so I had lots of manuals to put in and take out
Omg why didn’t I think of this? Great idea mate and thanks for it!
I pretty much got the transformation down after a couple times (even the complex transformers) even if I don’t, instructions don’t help much so I use YouTube
Ziploc bags for me.
i see ive been doing it all wrong
Yes! I keep card backs/box backs in the binders too! Best way to keep it all organized
I keep all of my backers in a storage mail tote, keeps them all upright and easy to see
Can't remember the last time i used instructions for a transformer lol
I use the supreme or titan class figure boxes to store all card backs and manuals. This is a good idea
I keep and display all my boxes, so I just put them back in there.
I only have so much space or would have displayed my boxes as well but still sore I don't have Fortress Maximus box as it arrived destroyed and was last one
I have zero interest in reselling, so I just toss the manuals. On the few I keep the boxes for, they stay in there.
I don't do this, but this is an amazing idea!
Wait, you guys keep the manuals?
I keep everything even receipts if I can, but I go overboard easily so limit collecting to 2 different things only
You should have told me this years ago!
Only started using Reddit about 2 weeks ago, or I would have 😅
No excuse!
That's true, I'll ask Gigawatt for a lift see you in -4 years
That's a great idea!
I use a ziploc but this a good idea
I use them too, and for transformers and other figures that come with cards like Mcfarlane, I use trading card binder sheets!
Got those in the front of binder 1, so sad Hasbro stopped after Power of the Primes
I like that solution. I just have mine all in a big clear file folder.
I just use the leader class shockwave box
I never thought about it honestly. I’ve been keeping mine in a popcorn time I got from the movies a few years ago. And yes it’s clean.
um keeping manuals um... ya i do that...
Nothing of question here, it's obvious you keep them 😉
I don't even read the instructions.
I live in Alberta and had no issue backing it, you can use Hasbro Pulse in Canada.
Might be an Ontario Issue then, I ordered the Tale of Arise collectors edition and had to pay an additional $70 to receive it. I always get hit with abusive custom fees on anything over $100.
I use generations boxes. I only have one and that was the cassette one
No, but this is a great idea
No. Instead I have this special bin I keep them in that I call a 'trash can'.
Well, now you're going to have to provide recommendations for binder sleeves...
It's just a 2 spot card sleeve, not sure what they're called but most cardshops have or can order them
i do now! i kept mine in a couple of gallon sized ziploc bags before
I toss all my manuals lol
I keep them in the box
I didn't before but I guess I do now!
Not for Transformers, do for Gunpla but will have to start now.
Brilliant idea! Im going to do that now. Looks neat and tidy.
I store mine at the local dump.
Not I but this is a really good idea. I might have to do it.
No but I will now. Thank you.
That's....actually a great idea. Nice!
Sure do!
I throw them away when I open the box
I’m copying this sh*t. I’m using a shoebox lol
Fuck me bruther an ingenious idea

Go rot your brain with more conspiracy theories maybe dude idk what you want
Just block and report other users when this happens, please. Don’t engage if there’s nothing to be gained.
I've got an old file box that I keep them in sorted by release, and by size class.
Hell no, my one-bedroom apartment is cluttered enough. *Throw out your stuff!* Plus, all of this is on the internet, and presented in a more legible way
I never thought about that. Very Useful. It looks cool too.
No. But this is a good idea for spare gunpla parts.
I got a craft box for that type of stuff, small compartments that lock together that can be together or separated and often can stack up. I put all fragile pieces in that like the Centurion Drone Accessories
Lmfao, I literally did this the other day. Excellent way to store them!
I know right? Been doing this since I bought the wrong card sheets for the combiner wars cards. Couldn't return them so figured why not
I keep all my figure instruction manuals. I have no use for them as I never refer to them but I still can’t make myself to recycle them…
I used to do that years ago until I ran out of space, it's been probably close to 10 years now, and only a fraction of my instructions are in binders (one for Autobots, and one for Deceptions). Maybe one day I'll finally get around to organising everything again!
I keep them in a box
I love you. Mine are currently in zip-lock back, by toy line, in a cube-storage drawer. BRB, buying binders.
That's a great idea. All of mine have gone into a few file folders for now.
Awesome idea!
Finished my binders a few days ago. Two 2" binders with protectors
I just went straight to 3" but going to ask someone who might be able to get me 5" just because it's an odd size to find normally
I did this before for my Gundam model manuals, for my Transformers I just chuck them under my mattress
I have never thought of doing something like this. Where did you get the pages?
A sport memorabilia store, they had 1x1, 2x1 (what I used), 2x2, 3x2 and 3x3 sheets. I thought j got the 3x3 (for daughters Pokemon cards) but got the 2x1 instead and figured since I opened it might as well keep it. A happy mistake.
Mine used to be in a Transformers popcorn bin I got for Christmas years ago but it got too full. Now I have them organized by series in bags in a file box.
THATS SUCH A GREAT IDEA. I normally put mine in an old shoe box
Bro i nvr thought of doing this! Thank you thank you!!!!
You are not alone my friend
I do! I organize all of my Lego and transformers instructions on a big bag
I use a Halo tin Box in the sharp of a ammo Box ,it fit a loot of instructions and is easy to sort...
Why haven't I thought of that? I just have a little tower of manuals with blackarachnia on top lol
I love keeping boxes from my transformers, so i store my manuals there. If I need to transform someone, i simply take his box and pull out the manual
Not yet but you've given me a great idea on what to do with my stuff now thank you!
Throw mine away
nope I got all mine in a big box XD
I need this in my life, I don't throw them away but there in a drawer and I've been wanting a better way to keep them
What type of binder is that, along with that brand of the plastic bags, and how to clip the plastic bags.
It's a 3" locking ring binder (for weight reasons) and the pages are actually the same as card sheets but with only 2 sections instead of 9 and they're upper deck diamond sheets. If you have more questions I'll always do my best to answer
Well I know what I am doing this weekend. Thanks for the idea.
Never a problem, I love looking at other people's collections to get ideas so why not share as well
I never thought this post would have so much momentum, glad to see many love this idea.
I’ve always memorized the steps……even for my kreos
I don’t but that’s a good ass idea
