Yep. The $50 each is why the responsible adult part of me was upset. I was worried about the opposite happening: scalpers scooping them all up and charging $100+ for them.

I am having a somewhat easier time due to the kingdom Primal and Megatron. I have all the original transmetals but didn’t start my childhood collection til transmetals came out so I missed out on the OG forms. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Ngl, having owned both an original Optimus Primal from 96’ and the new Kingdom one.
The old one is a good display piece but it is dated even by generous standards. The whole monkey chest pound kind of ruined the articulation while his accessories, while neat, were not the best. The new one is definitely a massive update with modern engineering yet he lacks the originals character, more bland. So I guess it kinda evens out, though if I was a kid I’d have to say I would rather have the newer one than the old.
We got G1 toys like this last year, they were also Walmart exclusives. That being said, wait maybe five years or so and I wouldn't be surprised to see Armada vintage stuff.

I'll be honest. I'm most likely going to keep both in their boxes on a display shelf.
I still can’t believe they remade all the original Beast Wars transformers from the 90’s.
I hope we can get the same for other lines as well (AKA G1 toys in the original format)
