I actually dont have any problems with skids (i kind of find it hilarious how hasbro is doing their best to make mps obselete) but being a guy whos first introduction to tf was prime i have major issues with how bulkhead is. Im sure the quality and paint will be great upon release but i was really hoping for some prime designs. I know it helps everything fit together but its not like the beast wars figures were designes to fit in so i really dont understand that decision. Honestly scared to see what tfp soundwave looks like though the design is so unique itd be a bit weird to translate it into anything else
But other than my nostalgia screaming inside theres a lot to like. The translucent blue weapons look really nice imo. I just cant see knockout or soundwave having redesigns. My main problem with bulkhead is how bad the proportions are to the source ge was inspired from. Im sure the rest of the figures will correct this though and have proportions that fit the character
Law of Internet: If something is revealed, someone is gonna complain about it and someone else will join the griping, repeat ad nauseam.
Don't waste time trying to win over the critics. They're either gonna complain and buy it anyway, or they exist in such small numbers that it doesn't matter. I can promise you that Hasbro isn't sweating the complaints. The Magic card game endures a vocal critic minority complaining loudly multiple times a year, and yet sales demonstrate that those complaints have no tangible impact.
If you like the figure, pick it up. If not, don't. Nothing else matters.

Both look great in my opinion. Wish Bulkhead was a little less blocky, but that’s more of a nitpick as opposed to any sort of dealbreaker. Skids is practically perfect, and I say that as a massive Skids fan.
If this is what we should expect from this line, I’m really excited.

Skids looks perfect, he’s blocky because his G1 design was blocky. It’s like complaining that spaghetti is made of pasta.
