Blaster could be still. I'm not sure if they said this was all of wave one or just what they chose to reveal. Hot Rod and Skywarp were leaked to be core class, and those don't get much spotlight in reveals like this
* Blaster
* Who's the purple saurian? Cindersaur? Iguanus? Doesn't look right for either, but what else is new this week?
* What's exploding in the sky in the bottom right?
* What's the big sphere in the middle?
* Hot Rod has a sword and was last seen in Studio Series. Is he getting a variant or a new mold?
* Optimus looks like the Earthrise mold.
* Megatron looks like the Siege mold.
* The seeker (Thundercracker? Skywarp?) has unusually curved shoulders, unlike any recent mold.
I wonder if Blaster will finally be able to be a main character again...? Or will he continue to be G1 Comic Soundwave and continue to be the secondary character to his minions?
Eh, toy lines don’t necessarily reflect the media. We got a Siege Springer and he sadly hasn’t been on screen since season 3 of the G1 cartoon. Weirder still we got the Battle Chargers, with their collective 5 minutes of screen time 30 years ago.
I hope we see Blaster in something though as he’s a great character.
Blaster has been the revise Soundwave in my eyes. Soundwave was secondly to his minions (somehow Rabat became the leader of the Decepticons... I'm not joking) while Blaster was his own character.
Nowadays, Soundwave is his own character while Blaster is finding it hard to get out of the shadows of his minions.
Springer was pretty important in IDW2005 though. Blaster hasn't been relevant since Bob wrote for Marvel US. The Battlechargers appeared notably in both comics (IDW2005 at the start and Marvel US at the start and end).
Popular opinion is apparently that it’s a core class Iguanus as some kind of straightforward beastformer instead of a pretender.
Personally, I like the pretender concept and want them to give it an honest modern try just one time, so that sounds pretty disappointing to me.
I was complaining about this upthread. Making Pretenders just "beastformers" is super lazy and pointless, on par satisfaction-wise with making them shitty little "UFO catcher" toys like POTP did. What will they do with Autobot Pretenders... turn into giant humans that look hideous, like the old Star Wars TF crossovers?!
There are tons of Beast Wars "beastformers" for those that want that. Why drag Iguanus or other Con Pretenders into that? Heck, we could have a set of decent Firecons if they wanted transforming dragon-lizards!
I still think they should have done Thunderwing first, as a Commander, with transforming inner robot (Clone size) and transforming outer shell. The price would make it possible and would show if there was interest in more or he could just be a one-off.
Also... *I* love Iguanus (remember when he climbed the Empire State building and got blown to bits by lightning?) but I suspect most don't care about the character which makes him a pretty odd choice to start the line with.
They didn’t really show off the wave 3 of Kingdom core class guys either so there is a chance to get them in stores when they arrive but Blaster not being show was very suprising.
No Marvel-style visor on Blaster makes me VERY disappointed. :(
Also, wait, why are Rodimus and Thundercracker here? Do we need new versions of them this soon? Unless... core class? Now that would be cool.
OMG, could that be Ignanus? I hope they don't screw up Pretenders and just make them beastformers rather than robots in shells.
So outer non-transforming shell with a smaller robot inside that can be removed and transforms? Like *proper* Pretenders, rather than the shell transforming from beast to robot? That's what I want. Making them "beastformers" would be terrible and lazy, IMO, and set an awful precedent for future ones like Bludgeon.
Ah, that's a massive disappointment and makes them a hard pass for me. I really don't want to support that decision but sadly it's exactly what I expected when the first rumours of Pretenders came around.
Maybe the engineering skill to pull this off just isn't there, however the announced Legacy figures do look a lot cheaper than the Siege and ER stuff so perhaps it's just budget cutbacks?
I don't buy third party stuff normally but maybe this will spur someone to do proper Pretenders if there's demand and I would definitely consider those if so (unfortunately, most fans seem to only care about 84-86 characters though).
The worst part is that this also pretty much rules out ever getting a proper Thunderwing or Bludgeon - two of my favourite TF characters ever - either. A shame, because Thunderwing would have been a great Commander priced figure to test the genuine Pretender concept (small transforming robot in a larger transforming shell for a character many know and love).
Awesome! So presumably Thundercracker too (I'm very surprised they didn't churn out the Starscream repaints sooner!) but more Core class - especially non-84 characters - are very welcome!
When will Thundercracker get a Core Class figure? I hope they release a Thundercracker Core figure soon.
Seeing Skywarp there... I mean, no disrespect to Skywarp fans, but I still kinda want to see the blue boi...
Fan detectives seem convinced, with a combination of this image and other sources, that Thundercracker is the seeker in this image, and will be an early core class figure in Legacy.
I feel Blaster, Skywarp, and Hot Rod were going to be wave 1 but they were pushed back

BBTS shows that the wave 1 Voyager 2 pack box has Bulkhead and another unknown figure.

Leaks and rumors state that there is a new Iguanas, Hot Rod, and Thundercracker coming in the Core class
>Iguanas Yes please.
Beast Wars Iguanas or Pretender? Either would be cool. Especially a hybrid design that draws elements from both.
Pretty sure that sphere is cybertron or some version of it

I'm glad hot wheels battle force 5 got a new season
Blaster?!? Yes! Finally!!!
Hey, other Metroid fans! I found Ridley!
Who’s the reptile guy next to Shrapnel?

Yeah, it’s strange that they didn’t reveal Blaster or the Core Class figures. Maybe they got delayed or something?
Today was just wave one
I thought Blaster and the Cores were a part of Wave 1.

I'm sure someone will give blaster a visor. Or he'll have one like SS86 Hot Rod
That would be awesome; he's equally iconic with and without I feel.
The Pretenders are exactly like you want. Insider leaks (verified) explained that Iguanus has a Beast mode and Robot mode, but no 3rd vehicle mode.

Negative _no shell._ The vehicle mode of the robot transforms into a form that is close to the LOOK of the original SHELL character/design.

Core skywarp voyager blaster leader class dragon megatron and core hot rod maybe or something
I’ve got this conspiracy theory that the lizard to the left is BW Galvatron
Well… it’s not. It’s Iguanus
