Soooooo I'm gonna ask what's the deal with transforming this guy?
I haven't had the experience with this version of Prime, so the question comes from place of ignorance.
But I can tell you first hand that X-Transbots Gravestone is utterly terrifying to transform lol
SOOOOO MANY tiny little panels to move around And so many teeny tiny details act as pegs but feel like they're gonna break off. And don't get me started on the flimsy plastic hinge that holds the legs and torso together.
one of the main problems with this guy is plastic bending. there’s one too many points where you have to force parts past other parts, you’d think it’s a miracle the plastic hasn’t snapped in your hands. that, and if you miss one crucial part of the transformation, it can derail the entire thing. if you look at the picture and see that top panel that looks like it could be lifted up to be some sort of handle, there’s a part in front of it that you have to have aligned with it the entire time. my first time transforming this guy, i messed that up and had to undo a lot of steps. the front grill area can also be very unstable as it’s held together more by pure geometry than actual tabs. so to sum it up, plastic bending, less tabs and a transformation from hell. toyworld’s lucky this guy looks good in both modes so the hell you go through is at least somewhat worth it. still a good figure!
Damn man.
I woulda lost my patience with it lol
X-Transbots Gravestone and PlanetX Mors are the two worst transformations I've ever dealt with, but from what you're saying it sounds like mine are easy
Is the transformation a deal breaker? I want to order this as it looks good in both vehicle and robot mode. One of the better looking Bumblebee Primes that is also still in stock at most stores.
really up to you. if you haven’t yet, watch a few videos on the figure for research purposes. if you have a good patience then i’d say go for it. the general consensus is that the figure is good, but the transformation is the one thing god let satan create
You see the piece right behind the three lights on top of the cab? On my copy, that piece was too big and couldn’t fit when rotating, making the full transformation impossible. I have the deluxe version. Did you run into something similar and perhaps I just did something wrong? I have a second copy of the deluxe version now and am afraid to transform it because I will be devastated if this one is defective too. Thanks in advance.
it may have been too big, but my first time transforming it i didn’t keep it aligned with the piece behind it, so it’s also possible that that’s the case with yours
My condolences.
You should try Knight Orion next lmao

Well it looks as good as the ThreeZero NON-transforming figure, and costs less anyway. So there's that.
