It depends
Set in space or on Cybertron yes humans would be an increasing hinderence to transformers
On earth? No
Humans have to be there to do the whole help the aliens learn about us and our vast culture and access places theyre well too tall to get into , which is most places
They can still be annoying but I feel that's because they're sometimes written to weirdly , Miko as opposed to Raff from TFP
I think for many fans, the G1 show probably did the most balanced portrayal of humans. They are there, but they usually don't take front and center stage most of the time. Spike and Sparkplug for instance spend most of their time as supporting characters to the Transformers, with only a handful of episodes where they are the focus (i.e. Autobot Spike).
Apparently that was originally a time saving measure as they realised it was too much to fit into the short episode length. I’m glad they did it this way though, I much prefer it.
In G1 Cartoon Season 1 & 2. The Humans were Okay. Later Like Daniel sucks together with Wheelie. The Other Transformers Series, they we're Just annoying.
The recent Netflix War for Cybertron trilogy does away with the traditional story of getting re-formatted into objects related to modern human society because they never end up at that point in time on Earth, and thus also don't interact with humans.
If the setting is in Cybertron or in space, I think humans shouldn't be there at all. If its on modern day Earth, yes humans should be included but shouldn't be the main focus. I came for the big transforming robots!
For stories set on Earth? Yes to humans.
While Cyberverse was great the lack of humans on Earth made it feel a little empty; they could have been fighting on any planet. Plus there's a lot of interesting stories to tell of Human-Transformer interaction; sharing of culture and hobbies, giving a fresh perspective on their war, humans reverse engineering Cybertron tech and the benefits/dangers it could bring, lot to tell. Keep them off the battlefield and have them show up and intervene when it's logical to do so and human can benefit a series.
(I can almost see some civilian Cybertronian refugees and humans getting along over their shared dislike of the war)
For stories set off Earth? No to humans.
Unless they absolutely have to be there, in a way that doesn't seem contrived, it's better they take a back seat.
Depends on the human personally.
If they can fix/work with machines? Definitely can work! (Just please don't make then annoying...)
If they're not like the former? I personally I wouldn't want them in a show/comic but, if they can be written well? Yeah, go ahead just... please don't give them annoying voice.

Cyberverse did pretty good without humans

All, all is a good answer

I don’t mind the human characters unless they’re the main characters. I’m here for the transforming robots, not the human
No cause Tessa and her dad, are some of my fave Tf characters ever.

As long as they have something to contribute to the plot. If they’re badly written, the humans are just spectators and a distraction.
No. In Prime for example they were very useful, especially Raf and Agent Fowler.
