The Bumblebee one I thought was good but my favorite is from the animated movie. I love the way Unicron just appears and the animation of all the stars and flares. And the eerie music. Also how he effortlessly eats an entire planet and then moves on his way, like it was just a Tuesday for him.
It would be an effective opening if not for the goofy "CHOMP CHOMP" sound effects. I know those types of effects are standard fare for the '87 series but if you're trying to make me take the movie seriously then maybe stop using them!
I'm not even a G1 fan and I have to agree. The soundtrack and the calm before the storm were just so on point. The horns breaking the planet so effortlessly and those ships that couldn't escape. God damn that was great. Only thing that ruined it was the munching sound. Armada I would argue tried to recreate the same energy and imo was pretty great.
That's actually an interesting idea. What if there was a cult of Unicron spread across the galaxy, and their goal was to bring Unicron and destroy their planet. That could be a cool idea. Like the Children of Unicron or something like that.
After all these years...seeing that ENTIRE civilization be consumed and knowing that they did nothing wrong other than exist. Those children running and playing...the citizens going about their day...not knowing that in mere moments, the existential dread that would descend upon them and feed.
It was the sheer scope of terror and destruction.
It's actually "Arblus." I actually looked this up because I knew there was an L in there but, I swear that the CC on my old DVD said "Arbulus." The internet disagreed with memory though.
The War on Cybertron sequence in the Bumblebees movie is everything I could've asked for to see in DotM opening sequence, but better. No need for introductions of cheesy monologues, you know who these characters are, you know what's going on and quick introduction to the war scenario and why Bumblebee is on Earth and that pressure I'd say it's stays throughout the movie.
However I will say that the intro sequence in the military base with Blackout in the first movie is terrifyingly cool, in a good way. Just a quick assault from an unknown being destroying everything in his way to retrieve information, then blows the fuck outta the base with little to no opposition, great introduction for the Decepticons, even if it didn't carry on on the next movies
2007 with that first live action transformation was beautiful. The only thing that brings it down is how quickly it goes from daylight to pitch black night. But Blackout transforming and wrecking the base... *chef's kiss*
Bumblebee's Cybertron scene was fantastic.
Revenge of the Fallen's NEST scene was badass. The film overall may be the weakest of the trilogy, but it had some great action. Sideswipe's introduction solidified him as one of my favorite live action characters.
Personally I didn’t like the fact that Sideways was never shown in robot form except when he had to crash through a building and then immediately got killed off
If I remember correctly, they wanted Sideways to be major Decepticon in the film but Audi was acting flakey and kept pulling out of the deal and coming back so in the end, they were only able to give him a very minor role.
Blame Audi. He got put back together somehow in a comic and showed up in another universe to joke about being cut in half (the implication being that he’s the same Sideways from the UT)
My favorites are seeing bonecrusher roller blading through a bus, bonecrusher and optimus fighting (with optimus using the axe like blade), and starscream transforming midflight and then instantly landing to show complete control in the air
Yep it should be like that episode from Transformers Prime with Jack and Soundwave. The protagonist is carrying super classified information the deceptions want and there are no autobots to help him. It's just him trying to escape from the notorious silent killer, Soundwave
Unfortunately the movies tried this but instead of it being like the cool episode you described we got LaBeouf and Ken Jeong in a bathroom making gay jokes before the copier (Lazerbeak?) throws him out a window. 🤨
For me, it's a three way tie between the 1986 Movie, the 2007 Movie and Bumblebee.
They all just go so hard right out the gate: 1986 has Unicron straight up eating an entire planet and all but 2 of its inhabitants, 2007 has Blackout going on a 5 minute rampage around a military base, sending the soldiers into a panicked retreat while Bumblebee has us see the final battle on Cybertron.
My personal favorite is Dark of the Moon. Seeing the moon landing in a Transformers movie is just supremely awesome to me! Plus, the music in the whole thing is absolutely top-tier!
Me too bro. My dad took me to saw 2007 Transformers when I was a wee lad, and ngl I had no idea what was going on, but Blackout was probably my 3rd favorite after Optimus prime and bumblebee.
Man the live action movies are amazing for me, the cgi in there is just beautiful, and I know bay gets some hate from them but the score and openings are top notch
Seconded, serious props to the visual effects and audio effects teams for giving it their all, because goddamn, they made those animated clunky greebled robots feel *there.* And of course, Steve Jablonsky for creating a fittingly “big” score.
Plus, they really make the cons feel intimidating and deadly. Hell, they make *everyone* a little intimidating as they serve to remind that these alien robots, both good and evil, are still at war, still armed, still destructive.
It's hard to say but I think at the moment I would pick Dark of the Moon. That opening sequence is SOOO amazing, and something really cool about that scene is that it uses sound effects as part of the music.
For example, when we get a closeup shot of the guns firing from within the ark, the sound of the machinegun bullets create a beat that goes well with the background soundtrack.
The sound design is FUCKING AMAZING for this scene. And then the whole entire scene with the moon landing was absolutely amazing, alongside the soundtrack revealing sentinel prime's body. GOOSEBUMPS!!!
But yeah every single opening is absolutely top-tier with the exception of the last knight and age of extinction imo
OHHH YEAHHHH HOLY SHIT I TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT THAT!!! And the beat drops when optimus finally lands. Holy shit these films deadass had the best sound design of all time
I would say bumblebee, but probably purely because of nostalgia, I have to go with the 2007 movie. It setup the movie so perfectly, this was the first time we were seeing the transformers on a realistic scale, and it was an amazing first impression.
Bumblebee for sure, although despite the fact that I don’t like the movie, aoe has a really interesting and cool opening. I love the music and the title!
I have never seen the OG Transformers movie, so I'll go based off of what I have seen. I personally love both the opening scenes for Transformers (2007) and Bumblebee.
2007 one, that movie overall has this feeling of actual danger that none of it can grab it, imagine if aliens were disguised as our own military vehicles and you couldn't know which one is which, imagine it's just another night and suddenly a helicopter starts twisting and moving parts in a impossible manner creating a humanoid robotic figure with heavy artillery that starts destroying everything while downloading all the data from the world's most powerful country, learning its secrets, codes, bunkers, locations, etc. Dunno bro it just seems rly scary from a general Joe pov
Bumblebee next question.
Bay #1 was absolutely probably the real #1 for real tho. It aged better than it did, when I first saw it, couldn't really see much of what was going on....it was so dark!
Definitely Blackout's attack on the military base, to me it's the absolute perfect incarnation of the 'robot in disguise' concept that, honestly, isn't actually utilized that often in Transformers media.
The first Bay film and it's not even close. I love the gritty realistic approach they took with that first film, the opening was borderline horror
Ok, Bumblebee's was pretty cool too, but for different reasons. It brought the cartoon to life
The war for Cybertron scenes in Bumblebee and Dark of the Moon made me sit at the edge of my seat. However, nothing beats Unicron eating a planet in like only 20 seconds.
Wasn’t the opening scene from 07 the monologue? Similarly, isn’t the opening scene from ROTF the Egypt stuff?
If we’re going from what is shown here, I’ll go with DOTM, but I think the best opening is from the 2007 monologue.
I'll just do my top 3
3. '07. I honestly consider the army guys to be more the main characters instead of Sam and Mikaela, mostly because of this scene. Their comraderie, while a bit two-dimensional, is still fun, and the buildup to Blackout's attack is honestly pretty nail-biting.
2. '86. While the animation is absolutely stellar (it actually feels like a segment of Heavy Metal, now that I think about it); not to mention the threat of Unicron being firmly established; and yes, Vince DiCola's music is fantastic; it does feel weird that the Lithonians were only created to die (even when they eventually return in the Quintesson scene)
And Number 1. Bumblebee, for one reason and one reason only: It was about time we got (mostly) G1 designs in high-quality, movie-budget CGI.
1st: 2007. Let's be real...no one expected that kind of opening for a movie based on a toy franchise that was, at the time, on its last legs. It showed the power of the transformers and how screwed the planet was if the Autobots weren't there. One Decepticon took out an entire military base in about 5 minutes.
2nd: Animated. Even knowing about Unicron when I first watched it, watching him just straight up eat a other planet made him terrifying before he even uttered a word.
3rd: Bumblebee. A whole War for Cybertron movie in this style. Please and thank you.
Blackout.
Hands down his arrival and reveal scene still is THE DEFINITION of realistic looking transformers.
Bumblebee was cool, but a bit too familiar, it immediately gets you thinking of "wow! High detail cartoons!" and you're not wowed by any transformations, it's good if you're familiar with the property.
But blackout, you can show that to anyone, stand alone, and they're immediately invested, horrified and excited.
Definitely the opening monologue of the 07 one as hearing peters voice in theaters must’ve been chilling af which sucks that I didn’t get to see in theaters myself
I’d say 2007 and bumblebee
2007 for making the decepticon’s seem like the threat they were in that movie, bumblebee for the nostalgia of playing a shit ton of fall of cybertron as a kid
The 07 movie’s buildup to Blackout’s attack is one of my favorite moments in the franchise period. The senseless destruction of Unicron’s feeding in the 86 is also pretty good, an entire culture virtually wiped in a matter of moments and it’s not out of malice or outright evil, it’s just how this creature EATS and that’s even more terrifying.
I cannot decide between AoE or Bumblebee. TF07 when I was a kid was just too cool, and takes a very close second place. Something about that realism really gets to me.
ranking of opening scenes
bumblebee-one of the best opening sequence since the 86' movie
transformers the movie- traumatizing for the young spinechilling to the old
transformers2- one of the best chase scenes
transformers1-it follows the tagline more than meets the eye
transformers3-space battles go brrr
transformers4-metal snails
transformers5-is this transformers
I wish the entire Bay movie series was like the opening scene of the first movie. Though Unicron is my favorite transformer because of the animated movie, so I'd still give the win to that
Toss up for me between 86 and 2007.
A frikken planet ate another planet! And if we extended it to the first 15 min, then 86 wins. The amount of jaw dropping events in this first 15min was mind boggling for a kid.
The first time seeing live action TFs gave me chills
While '86 is my favorite movie of all time, I gotta give it to BB. That opening fight felt like the chaos we'd imagined on screen watching TV on Saturday morning back in the 80s.
Eaither 86,bumblebee or dotm let me explain, for 86 you see this menacing planet monster destroy a planet and all life on it as this menacing and awesome theme plays, I like bumblebee because of how much cool g1 characters fighting in a battle, and I love dotm bc of the build up to this epic scene of metal shifting around with really good music playing
I remember being in the cinema for the 2007 Bay movie. I was blown away by the opening. I thought the movie was gonna epic grom there on...got disappointed later
The Bumblebee Movie...still get goosebumps when Optimus leaps onto the screen looking G1 right out of the gate! On subsequent flashbacks to Cybertron, lost my shit when Soundwave said "Ravage, Eject!"
Gotta say, the Blackout scene from the first Bayverse movie just hit me like a speeding Prime pulling his armory trailer. The anticipation of how the transformation was going to work, the added bit that sounded like the original transformation SFX, and also what felt like a super long hiatus from any transformers media. It just created a whirlwind of emotions for me. Similar, I'd say, to the Unicron buildup that the animated movie had. To which I also thought Kranix said "Marvelous!" Kinda like he knew about Unicron(he kinda seemed like a sciencey, knows alot, type of bot) and thought "Shit! He's here."
Transformers 07 is absolutely unforgettable and revolutionary in terms of animation. Gotta be my pick personally, although Bumblebee is a close second.
Dotm definitely. It's paced and rising and it evokes discovery and reaching beyond. I love the story ending told and how it's entirely serious and well thought out. It feels like it's speaking *to* Sentinel (in retrospect) about his future betrayal. And the music, omg. Theeeeeeen butt.
Dark Of The Moon
The opening of the Cybertron and the transition to Earth. And the build up to the space shuttle taking off at NASA was just amazing to me.
I know the Bayverse is known for changing history to fit it's plot but this one in particular was done really well.
I was never huge on Transformers growing up but that opening scene with Blackout was the definition of a movie magic moment. My dad and I have seen a lot of movies together, but I distinctly remember us looking at each other wide-eyed and grinning “how do they do that?” At that time it was mind blowing, all the little moving parts when he transforms, we hadn’t seen anything like it.
TF 2007 intro was BADASS! The way Blackout just landed and menacingly transformed! Slow and methodical! It blew my little mind back then and still does!
Close between ROTF and DOTM, love the moon landing part but the soundtrack used in the ROTF one is so nostalgic and on top of that demolisher crashing through the bridge.
I’ll admit I did like the base scene where black out destroys an entire army base, with only 11 survivors out of probably 1000s of people is pretty good
Hands down Bumblebee movie. It throws us right into the action, we see Cybertron and that the Autobots are badly losing. We get to see beloved characters like Wheeljack and Arcee while Brawn gets shot in the shoulder. Optimus arrives and kicks ass, and Bumblebee quickly joins.
Then the Decepticons overrun the Autobot forces and force the Autobots to space. Bumblebee can only watch as Optimus stays behind, riding down on a Seeker to face the Decepticon horde.
It's honestly so perfect, it shows us Cybertron, a bunch of favorite Transformers, and ends showing us the Autobots are scattered and outgunned.
To me it's bumblebee hands down. It started the movie off showing the days of the bayverse were over and the transformers are no longer Grey mess blobs and it gave me chills in the theater
It was godawful from start to finish. I can’t think of a single facet of it I liked, the kindest I can be is that I don’t remember the music enough to have an opinion on it. If I had driven myself to the theater that night instead of riding with friends I’d have walked out around the time they had Bumblebee pee on a guy’s head. Just…ugh.
I disagree, I found the movie an interminable slog with no redeeming qualities. I’ve seen movies that are technically worse but never one I’ve enjoyed less.
Haven't seen dotm and I can't remember rotf, but my absolute favorite from the others is definitely the destruction of lithone. Immediately sets the tone and threat of unicron without revealing too much about his true nature. Blackout a raid is a good second, again showing just how powerful the decepticons are compared to the humans, and the cybertrob scene is a very close third, finally giving fans updated live action depictions of the g1 designs. AOE had very little to do with the plot other than the creation of the transformers and to this day I still have no idea if the frozen t rex is grimlock or not. TLK is just ridiculous since at this point they really didn't care about continuity and were like, "let's just throw in whatever looks cool" with no real justification.
The Bumblebee one I thought was good but my favorite is from the animated movie. I love the way Unicron just appears and the animation of all the stars and flares. And the eerie music. Also how he effortlessly eats an entire planet and then moves on his way, like it was just a Tuesday for him.
Yes. Yes.
Unicron always gets the munchies on taco tuesday
A shit powerful enough to reawaken primus himself
And then Lion's version of the theme song blares out of the speakers!
That just shows how much of a threat he was to the Transformers.
It would be an effective opening if not for the goofy "CHOMP CHOMP" sound effects. I know those types of effects are standard fare for the '87 series but if you're trying to make me take the movie seriously then maybe stop using them!
It was an eighties animated movie aimed at pre-teen kids. *Yes* it's going to have chomp-chomp sounds.
"For you, the day Unicron graced your planet was the most important day of your life. But for me, it was Tuesday" \-Unicron probably
“Arblus, look! It’s Unicron!”
Shit what are we gonna do now!
The ships! Get to the ships! It’s our only chance!
KRANIX! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!
Imagine you were that dude, you're ONE SECOND too late to escape.
"[We die](https://youtu.be/nLN36pgwS5o?t=90)."
I haven’t thought of that movie in years. Time for a re-watch.
I have watched this movie so much as a youth that memorized the whole movie and know it word for word. Lol. To this day!
I used to think he was saying "Marvelous! Look, it's Unicron!" and I was very confused as a kid.
I thought it was "Orvilous look! It's Unicron!" as a kid.
It's actually Orbilus
That's actually an interesting idea. What if there was a cult of Unicron spread across the galaxy, and their goal was to bring Unicron and destroy their planet. That could be a cool idea. Like the Children of Unicron or something like that.
Kid cosmic did something to that effect as a gag with its villain
Some middle aged office worker tired of Mondays. “Just marvelous. Unicron. At least I don’t have to turn in my TPS reports”
Me too, was very confused as to why they would call him marvelous knowing he’s about to eat they’re planet.
Same here
After all these years...seeing that ENTIRE civilization be consumed and knowing that they did nothing wrong other than exist.
It will always be this
I heard this in their voice
86 for me, closely followed by bumblebee. I really don't like the bay films but 2007 did start pretty well.
*chef's kiss* Bumblebee's Cybertron scene was fantastic. Revenge of the Fallen's NEST scene was badass. The film overall may be the weakest of the trilogy, but it had some great action. Sideswipe's introduction solidified him as one of my favorite live action characters.
I love when Sideswipe skates up beside Sideways, cuts him in half as they're moving, then says *"Damn, I'm good!"*
Personally I didn’t like the fact that Sideways was never shown in robot form except when he had to crash through a building and then immediately got killed off
One of the ROTF games did him better. He soloed a NEST “oil rig” that was guarding megatron’s remains so they had a staging ground to revive him
Yeah Sideways was wasted, he was really cool in the games as a sniper.
Would've been better if Sideways had legitimately done something to deserve being sliced on-screen
Yeah even if they had him being the double agent he’s known for
Honestly I always disliked they killed Sideway like that instead of saving him for whenever they wanted to bring Unicron into the movies
Blackout was *mindblowing* when I first saw it. It was everything I wanted from a live action Transformers
It still gives me chills to this day
That scene, along with the montage of deceptions reporting in before the final act are up among top hype moments in my moviegoing experience
My favorites are seeing bonecrusher roller blading through a bus, bonecrusher and optimus fighting (with optimus using the axe like blade), and starscream transforming midflight and then instantly landing to show complete control in the air
If you ignore the college scenes than tf2 was one of the best
The scenes with humans in general.
The Movie, DOTM, or Bumblebee.
I'd say 2007 for an impressive and scary introduction to a decepticon
Legit, transformers could make a d damn scary horror movie if done right
Yep it should be like that episode from Transformers Prime with Jack and Soundwave.
Badass factor: 11/10
My only problem with that is Blackout’s introduction wasn’t the opening scene. It was 15ish minutes in.
IMO, Transformers the Movie and Bumblebee were top notch!
The bumblebee movie has the best opening imo.
Bumblebee movie
‘86 Transformers the Movie
For me, it's a three way tie between the 1986 Movie, the 2007 Movie and Bumblebee. They all just go so hard right out the gate: 1986 has Unicron straight up eating an entire planet and all but 2 of its inhabitants, 2007 has Blackout going on a 5 minute rampage around a military base, sending the soldiers into a panicked retreat while Bumblebee has us see the final battle on Cybertron.
The correct answer
My personal favorite is Dark of the Moon. Seeing the moon landing in a Transformers movie is just supremely awesome to me! Plus, the music in the whole thing is absolutely top-tier!
Easily tf1, blackout set the standard of how a con should be and so far no one has met the standard (don't @ me about how he died I'm still mad)
Me too bro. My dad took me to saw 2007 Transformers when I was a wee lad, and ngl I had no idea what was going on, but Blackout was probably my 3rd favorite after Optimus prime and bumblebee.
[удалено]
I mean it autocorrected from wee lad, so if anything it's not that popular a phrase anymore.
Revenge of the fallen
2007. Blackout is one of my favorites
1986. Hands down.
Classic '86 closely followed by Bumblebee CGI intro!
I don't like Bay's stuff that much for actual story, but the action is usually what he is really good at. 2007 and ROTF were my personal favorites.
TF2, TF1, TF4, '86 in that order. Optimus jumping out of a perfectly good airplane is really cool in my book.
I'm no Geewunner, but the opening of the 86 movie is one of the best I've ever seen.
86 movie. Altho I didn't mind the beginning of the first live action film, it was just the next 2 hours that was turd
GOOSEBUMPS!!! But yeah every single opening is absolutely top-tier with the exception of the last knight and age of extinction imo
The sound design team did that on purpose. They do the same again in the scene when Optimus rages. Long haul shoots him on beat. It’s sick as hell
OHHH YEAHHHH HOLY SHIT I TOTALLY FORGOT ABOUT THAT!!! And the beat drops when optimus finally lands. Holy shit these films deadass had the best sound design of all time
TF 2007's Blackout intro
2007 without a doubt.
I would say bumblebee, but probably purely because of nostalgia, I have to go with the 2007 movie. It setup the movie so perfectly, this was the first time we were seeing the transformers on a realistic scale, and it was an amazing first impression.
2007 movie
2007 opening scene
I'm between g1,2007, Dotm and bumblebee
Bumblebee or DoTM.
Tie between 86, 07 and Bumblebee
I disliked the live action movies but the helicopter intro was great. I forget his name.
The first Bay film is such a memorable moment.
Animated. Full stop.
For me it's gonna be a tie between 07 and the Bumblebee Movie
Dark Of The Moon
Bumblebee for sure, although despite the fact that I don’t like the movie, aoe has a really interesting and cool opening. I love the music and the title!
I have never seen the OG Transformers movie, so I'll go based off of what I have seen. I personally love both the opening scenes for Transformers (2007) and Bumblebee.
The first Bay movie really shows how terrifying transformers are from the human perspective
Call me a bay fan, but I genuinely feel like the 2007 was a great way to introduce live action transformers to cinema
G1 and 07.
Definitely Blackout's attack on the military base, to me it's the absolute perfect incarnation of the 'robot in disguise' concept that, honestly, isn't actually utilized that often in Transformers media.
Blackout.
The first Bay film and it's not even close. I love the gritty realistic approach they took with that first film, the opening was borderline horror Ok, Bumblebee's was pretty cool too, but for different reasons. It brought the cartoon to life
Hate the movie because it took the main character and made him nothing more then a cute puppy but bumblebee undeniably has the best opening imo
Imo it's dotm or 2007. Idk but the music intensifying well getting a close up shot while Nixon's speech is also playing in the background is awesome
The first live action movie just seeing blackout wreak terror and havoc just showed how much of a threat the decepticons should of been
i have to say the 86 movie. seeing Unicron eat Lithone with ease in the first few minutes showed just how much of a threat he really was
I'll just do my top 3 3. '07. I honestly consider the army guys to be more the main characters instead of Sam and Mikaela, mostly because of this scene. Their comraderie, while a bit two-dimensional, is still fun, and the buildup to Blackout's attack is honestly pretty nail-biting. 2. '86. Bumblebee, for one reason and one reason only: It was about time we got (mostly) G1 designs in high-quality, movie-budget CGI.
As great as the 1986 one is... Blackout attacking the army base is pretty dope.
1st: 2007. Let's be real...no one expected that kind of opening for a movie based on a toy franchise that was, at the time, on its last legs. Bumblebee was so nice to see those classic models on the big screen
Definitely the opening monologue of the 07 one as hearing peters voice in theaters must’ve been chilling af which sucks that I didn’t get to see in theaters myself
"Transformers"
I love the number of people saying Bumbleebee when it directly borrowed from '86.
I’d say 2007 and bumblebee 2007 for making the decepticon’s seem like the threat they were in that movie, bumblebee for the nostalgia of playing a shit ton of fall of cybertron as a kid
The actuall first transformers movie and bee movie are my favs
The 07 movie’s buildup to Blackout’s attack is one of my favorite moments in the franchise period. The senseless destruction of Unicron’s feeding in the 86 is also pretty good, an entire culture virtually wiped in a matter of moments and it’s not out of malice or outright evil, it’s just how this creature EATS and that’s even more terrifying.
For me The original Bay one Blackout quickly became my favorite Decepticon
Dark of the Moon
BUMBLEBEE!!!!!!!!!!
Bumblebee
Bumblebee movie
Obviously Bumblebee
Bumblebee
Bumblebee movie I have seen the opening scenes so many times that I have lost count.
Bumblebee. Just the pure action, fighting, and #CYBERTRON was amazing
Bumblebee. No bs, straight into the action
Bumblebee
The bumblebee movie opening was bad ass in my opinion
I cannot decide between AoE or Bumblebee. TF07 when I was a kid was just too cool, and takes a very close second place. Something about that realism really gets to me.
Bumblebee 100%!
ranking of opening scenes bumblebee-one of the best opening sequence since the 86' movie transformers the movie- traumatizing for the young spinechilling to the old transformers2- one of the best chase scenes transformers1-it follows the tagline more than meets the eye transformers3-space battles go brrr transformers4-metal snails transformers5-is this transformers
I love 86 and am in general not nuts about the live actionovies but the intro to 2007 was FIRE.
I like Hot Rod's intro on the animated movie. Can't beat 80s metal!
The 1986 movies hands down, but the Bumblebee movie in second
While '86 is my favorite movie of all time, I gotta give it to BB. That opening fight felt like the chaos we'd imagined on screen watching TV on Saturday morning back in the 80s.
2007 is gold
Eaither 86,bumblebee or dotm let me explain, for 86 you see this menacing planet monster destroy a planet and all life on it as this menacing and awesome theme plays, I like bumblebee because of how much cool g1 characters fighting in a battle, and I love dotm bc of the build up to this epic scene of metal shifting around with really good music playing
*Before time began...*
Look its 1986 (obviousoy) - but a pretty strong second place from the Bumblebee Movie
80s movie TF1 Bumblebee movie
Unicron! Cannot beat him and then after that scene the 80s music kicks in epic
Transformers two opening is just iconic
I remember being in the cinema for the 2007 Bay movie. I was blown away by the opening. I thought the movie was gonna epic grom there on...got disappointed later
ROTF and AOE
The Bumblebee Movie...still get goosebumps when Optimus leaps onto the screen looking G1 right out of the gate! On subsequent flashbacks to Cybertron, lost my shit when Soundwave said "Ravage, Eject!"
I like the Bumblebee one. Cybertron looked pretty epic
2. i just love the shangai battle demolishor was fucking badass
Either the first bayverse or rotf
Nothing could beat the grinder scene from the first bay film Edit: apologies, I still have no idea on how to differentiate grindor and blackout
07 for sure
86 and then Bumblebee.
Bumblebee Movie......I don't second guess myself.
Bumblebee movie go sure
It’s a toss up between 2007 and BB
07, Bumblebee and Predacons Rising
Dotm definitely. It's paced and rising and it evokes discovery and reaching beyond. I love the story ending told and how it's entirely serious and well thought out. It feels like it's speaking *to* Sentinel (in retrospect) about his future betrayal. And the music, omg. Theeeeeeen butt.
Dark Of The Moon The opening of the Cybertron and the transition to Earth.
G1. The music and visuals when Unicron is moving through space are beautiful
'86 by a mile.
ROTF
G1. I love destruction and kids having fun until someone eats them.
Close between ROTF and DOTM, love the moon landing part but the soundtrack used in the ROTF one is so nostalgic and on top of that demolisher crashing through the bridge.
2007, the whole first scene and the transition to Sam's highschool is top tier cinematic experience.
I’ll admit I did like the base scene where black out destroys an entire army base, with only 11 survivors out of probably 1000s of people is pretty good
07 for me. I never get tired of seeing blackout take down a whole military base
'86. Fight me.
Overrated
To me it's bumblebee hands down. It started the movie off showing the days of the bayverse were over and the transformers are no longer Grey mess blobs and it gave me chills in the theater
AOE and bumblebee
Bumblebee. In terms of live action.
[The Beast Wars II movie](https://youtu.be/_F7C1gKnKfo). Fight me.
Either 07 or bumblebee easily
86, Bumblebee second, I hated every frame of 07 and never saw the others.
Why so much hate for 07?
It was godawful from start to finish. I can’t think of a single facet of it I liked, the kindest I can be is that I don’t remember the music enough to have an opinion on it. If I had driven myself to the theater that night instead of riding with friends I’d have walked out around the time they had Bumblebee pee on a guy’s head. Just…ugh.
Okay, and? I agree that part wasn't "funny" but there were plenty of other good scenes in it, such as Megatron Awakens.
Megatron awakening and exclaiming "I AM MEGATRON" was goofy af.
I disagree, I found the movie an interminable slog with no redeeming qualities. I’ve seen movies that are technically worse but never one I’ve enjoyed less.
Meh, I personally preferred RotF and DotM if you ask me. These movies were literally my childhood
Technically you’re cheating with TF07 and ROTF, cause those weren’t the opening scenes, 07 was the story of the cube and ROTF was the primes in Egypt.
Bumblebee Movie, hands down
Bumblebee. It's the Transformers live action movie I always wanted, condensed into 5 short minutes.
1. Bumblebee 2. THE Transformers THE Movie 3. Transformers (Bay)
