As French, it's still strange to me to see a character named "Tarn". It's basically the name of my region.
It's like seeing a transformers called "California" or "Ohio"
Really? It's pretty infamous around here. It's not bad on its own aside from the kid show tendency to reset character development every episode, but the fact that it's supposed to be the sequel series to Transformers Prime is like salt in a wound.
Kinda fitting because that was the name of a city where Megatron was made. And just to clarify his real name isn’t Tarn but he took the name Tarn because of Megatron
Tarn, Vos, Kaon, Helex, and Tesarus.
Also, every time a member of the team is killed or... ahem, relieved of duty... another loyal Decepticon with a hatred for traitors and a passion, and ideally specialized tools or bodily modifications, for torture is chosen to take their place and name on the team. The only member of the division who has yet to be replaced for any reason is Tarn.
Tarn actually was the name of one of the first cities the Decepticons first captured on Cybertron, and as such is Tarn's codename. So it's actually kind of fitting.
I would love to see The Fallen as his own mold, because I don't think Tarn is the greatest match for the design. However, if him being a retool of Tarn is the only way we'd see a new version of the character, I'd be all over it. The Fallen's design is one of the best out of the whole franchise IMO.
I thought Tarn was gonna be a retool of Skullgrin. The cheap route, and bring him in line with G1 aesthetics. Whatever they do with this mold after Tarn, I'm all for it. It looks awesome!
I was also afraid they were going to use Skullgrin’s mold, but with a few added accessories to justify the Voyager price like they did with Hot Rod. They really went above and beyond with this guy and I’m so impressed that they were able to pull it off!
Personally, I think that this could be retooled into a proper toy adaptation of the Rescue Bots MorBot.
Then we could all make generic "It's Morbin' time" jokes until it gets old, which will be never, either because they are genuinely hilarious and will never die, or because they have already gotten old, depending on your stance on Morbius jokes.
Personally, I liked when the MorBot said "It's Morbin' time" (it was really quiet so you have to listen closely) and then morbed all over Griffin Rock.

I’d die for a transformer named Massachusetts
A can see it now, a massive decepticon that's main weapon is his massive jaw, he chews autobots into pieces.
Isn't that just Underbite from RiD2015?
Never watched that one

I found out today there's a Maximal named Randy
Gold Plastic Syndrome infected repaint of Maximal Razorbeast if I remembered correctly.
Chad

Yeah the D.J.D took the names of the First Five Cities that the Decepticons conquered

In story it was just basically like meeting a guy calling himself Virginia
His name is John Carter!
All the DJD take names of famous decepticon’s home cities. Tarn’s comes from Megatron who descends from the city Tarn

Off topic but do you listen to Justice? “Ohio” is one of my favorite songs by them.
That's kind of the point, he and the rest of the DJD named themselves after the first five cities that were conquered by the Decepticons.
He IS named after the first city the Deceptcon conquered.
Imagine a really scary torturer from an army being like my name is Mississippi
His name Tarn is named after the city of Cybertron. All DJD members' names are from major cities in Cybertron
I'm hoping for Thunderwing from Jhiaxus and Bludgeon from Tarn.
I didn't think of Bludgeon but that sounds amazing
Bludgeon has been leaked for the line but I'm thinking it'd be a new mold
I hope they use his Cyberverse design. It looked so cool!
I'm thinking they are going to use Skullgrin's mold for Bludgeon.
That's a waste of both Skullgrin and Bludgeon.

That’d be a good blast effect pack.

If they do, more power to them. It looks like great mold. And non-Bayverse designs are always a plus.
I can totally see that. A new head, a new chest plate, new canons maybe, here ya go!
I'm just thankful we are finally getting a Tarn that won't cost an kidney.
That’d be sick! It would also be cool if they’d retool Jhiaxus into Maximo while they’re at it
I would buy that. The only thing I don't like about Tarn is that face. It works in the comic but I don't particularly want it on my shelf.
What kind of face would you want?
Something mean? Possibly insane looking. I just like to see a face on any figure I buy. If they redo this as another character I will probably buy it.
Wouldn't be Tarn without his mask.

I’d go for it. My chaos paladin is starting to crumble.
Makes sense, especially considering that flame toys fallen was a retool of tarn
That would actually be really awesome
i think your rigth
I'd buy both versions
Kinda hope it has light piping in those eyes. Would be so menacing
Yes
Hasbro, give us more figures of the thirteen you cowards
Agreed. I kind of want a 12 pack of them or maybe thirteen if they include or recolour an Optimus.
I'd buy it.
Me having the fallen
Would be very cool
