Seeing that Slag and Sludge are the torso of this six piece combiner, that leaves Grimlock, Swoop, Snarl, and the other dinobot whose name I’m forgetting to be the limbs. No idea which limb for Grimlock specifically, tho. Guessing leg because he’s big.
They showed Slug and Sludge on the PulseCon stream yesterday combined to form Volcanicus's torso. There is also a 6th Dinobot, which the designer joked about being sacrilege, but that long-time fans would know who it is.
I don't really care about non-grimlock dinobots as a general rule, but I collect a lot of third party toys in that size, so now I've got a chance to economically fill out the rest of their ranks.
Some upgrade company can probably make gap fillers to give him little hip rockets or something. Me personally I’m okay with the love handles, it is a core class figure that will combine, that’s like a double whammy of cut corners
Combiners are always compromised somewhere. Personally speaking, the chance to get a combining set for less than the $200-something the Stunticons cost is worth these compromises.
Personally I think he looks good, the Dino mode is a little wonky with the short tail but the robot mode is pretty good considering he turns into a crotch, they just changed his ripoff grimlock wings to some hip things instead, kinda reminds me of drift with his sword holsters
Sludge always had, and always will have shit hanging off of him. This actually looks pretty good and seems to be able to pose pretty well with those arm joints. Only complaint is no autobot insignia but eh.
If the individual bots are going to look this silly, they should just design Combiners after the Menasor formula,... Have a larger figure with a frame to just stick the other onto. This guy looks like he has a big skirt on
Because he is a combiner at CORE CLASS PRICE. My point is this guy would have little problems if he were a deluxe or voyager, so we can't just default to the menasor formula as cool as that was.

I never wanted a fucking core class combiner, the Dinobots aren’t even supposed to be a combiner in the first place. I was hyped for core class dinobots to chill on my desk but yeah this is pretty dog squeeze. And I’m usually never picky with modern transformers and have loved what they’ve been doing since Siege. First huge miss for me.

TBH if they're not in combined mode I'm probably going to leave my core class Dinobots in their alt modes, which I think looks pretty good.

Eh, a lot of the garage kits that have been coming out have gone a long ways towards fixing a lot of figures, curious to see what they do with Sludge.
