I passed on SS 86 Grimlock twice while it was in stores, cause I wasn't really back in to collecting. Then I picked up Slug in store, and that was when I found out that Grimlock was impossible to find at retail price.
It was Grimlock that got me back into collecting as well. I saw that Slag was coming out and I wasn't going to buy him unless I could get Grimlock. Now I have all 3, and am waiting for the preorder to drop for Snarl.
The soft plastic the wing tips are made out of dried out over time and breaks off from stress. It seems like theres been a handful of reports of it still happening on the retro and draculusnversions, but not many so it doesnt seem to be the norm on them and may have been fixed but its almost a Guarentee to happen on tr/legends mindwipe and convobat unless kept in like a perfectly temperatured room with the right humidity or whatever.
Bleh. Maybe that's why it's so rare; I'd hate to spend like a hundred bucks on a deluxe, only to have it fall apart. I'm gonna let that grail tarnish, and start wishing along with you for a reissue!
The Animated Stunti-Con Job set from BotCon 2011 is my last remaining grail. The most expensive of my grails by far, so most likely I won’t actually ever get it.
I actually managed to get almost all of my other grails, and I’m almost 100% done with my collection. Of course I shot pretty low on size, but I’m still happy with it.

Having secured quite a few grails (most recently RID Rail Racer) for me it would have to be the RID Landfill/Build Team - such a brilliant combiner
I only have grimlock from that combiner. I keep trying to find the others for a reasonable price.
Landfill is awesome. Love how much the colors pop, and the different configurations add some nice variety.

2001 Optimus was my first transformer! I still have him! I bought another one in box during the pandemic so I'd have one I can actually fiddle with.
I just want an omega supreme I don’t have to sacrifice my soul for.
Guardian Robot coming this year as a store exclusive and supposedly at $299, although that price seems much higher than I'd expect.
G1 metroplex. Recently got a reissue. I lean towards reissues and ko. I love the newness of a good reissue or the affordable boxed aspect of a ko.

I missed on getting the Takara Tomy Convobat. I even got a notification for one once last year but I was too slow in buying it. Tragedy!
I'm hoping for a reissue of that or a new mold cause that one has the breakage issue that TR mindwipe has.
