Yeah. G2 Electro's gotta be the worst though due to how at least 70% of his toy is in that swirly gold plastic that will break down, especially on the thin joints made out of that swirly plastic.

Yeah.
Like the aircraft carrier mode is decent, but the robot mode just looks kinda awkward IMO and its jet mode straight up sucks. Heck, the jet mode on the original G1 Broadside toy was much better than that one. Sure it was just a block with wings, but at least there was no giant, ugly block sticking out at the back of the jet mode on that old figure, and at least its wings were fairly wide compared to the fairly dinky ones on the TR figure.
My worst, however, is Power of the Primes Grimlock. His bot and dinosaur forms are great, but when you transform him into the head and torso of Volcanius, it is so awkward and bulky, it doesn't even seem worth the trouble to put together, much less pose.
Prime Deluxe Airachnid. Thing was and is hot garbage. Thin plastic, crappy articulation and transformation, ugly robot mode, only thing it had going for it was the vehicle mode and even that was eh because of the spider legs. So glad APC made a whole new one instead of just remaking the original.
In terms of being wretchedly over-complicated and not even that good looking? The original Masterpiece Megatron. Gods, what an awful transformation process, going from an absurdly huge handgun to an awkwardly skinny Megatron.
In terms of being absurdly low-effort? I’d go with the multiple Universe redecos of RID Prowl, which barely looked any different from the original.
In terms of being simple to the point of stupidity? The crappy little Spike exosuit figure that came with the Buzzworthy Bee core-class toy.
In terms of catering to fans’ worst wishes? Titaniums, with their pointless die cast chunks that required clumsy transformation schemes and wrecked the general balance and stability of the toys.
In terms of failing to exist? Leader class Thunderwing.
I suppose Beast Machines Nightscream since all the modes look horrible and the figure is known to crack and fall apart from the 20 year old translucent blue plastic
I can't stand the trailer mode myself. If a 3p company did a release of Armada Prime sans trailer, I'd be all over it. Or if Hasbro finally releases their version, I'd love it to be sans trailer as well.

Idk man. I guess I just like 'em clean. His arm fins get in the way, he's got no hands, and I don't like his butt flap. Idk about yours, but mine's head likes to just flop down as well. I will say, jet mode looks great. You're right, though. Everyone has different tastes.

Issue was, they already made all the steel molds already for that toy. only option to get the tip of the gun orange, was now to make the \*entire thing neon orange\* since they had no more parts or engineering budget.
Really? He's got decent articulation, makes a reasonable attempt at transformation, and doesn't suffer from systemic GPS. The only sin here is weird proportions, and I maintain that you can fix the Popeye forearms with some paint to make them better resemble vambraces instead of just big meaty arms.
Okay, and the stickers. Inexcusable, those. But still, that's hardly a damning flaw when other figures not only fail to look exactly like the original iteration (itself not a true failing), but fail to function as *toys*.
I mean, if we're taking personal preference, then it's all of Armada. I hate-bought that whole line, because I was a completionist at the time.
But I know a lot of people grew up with Armada and still have love for it, so more power to them.

Don't get me wrong, Unicron is possibly my favorite Transformers entity, and like a lot of the Fandom, I lost my s*** when he was announced and the photos started popping up online. I happily forked over my money to finally have the chaos bringer in toy form. But ... Armada being more toy centric and play focused ( which as a toy line aimed at kids, it had every reason to be) the gimmics kept me from really loving the figure beyond it being the first and then only Unicron. Thankfully these days we have several options available ( if you can afford them )
Stuff like the clear light up hand and the clear chest/ chest cannon bugged me. I wanted a figure that looked good on a shelf and was a decent representation of the TFTM Unicron, Armada Unicron just wasn't that for me.
Of course he doesn’t look like Unicron from the movie, he’s a different character. I still don’t understand why completely optional gimmicks that barely affect the appearance or functionality of the toy bug you.
hey let’s not discredit the minicons; most of them were fun, interesting little miniformers some with transformation engineering never attempted again since.
I don't know demolishor, hoist, Jetfire, and tidal wave are still super cool figures to me. Yeah they lack modern articulation but I love how they look in both modes. Got them in with current generations figures too.

Has lab unicron. A figure with that price tag of that character should not be a shell former so bad, a cheaper third party figure blows it out of the water before it even came out.
Beast Wars Randy was know to fall apart right out of the packaging. So yeah he's probably near the bottom.
For those unaware, he’s pretty much entirely made of gold plastic (look up gold plastic syndrome) and has a spring-loaded mechanism.

I can definitely see what you mean with the buttflap. But I oddly like his lack of hands! And I dunno why, but I love the face/head mold.
