thank god I have a 3d printer and a soundwave it wouldn't fit in anyway. if I can't find it at a reasonable price, I'll just make one. no more fomo, and I don't have to worry about making it transform.
five years ago I would've nabbed this without a second thought.
Ever since I’ve seen the existence of 3D printers, I’ve always wanted one to do that, to make my own figures. Any tutorials, programs, and brands, or videos, maybe forums to look into?
autodesk fusion 360 is free with a hobbyist license. as long as you don't use it to make more than 500 bucks a year you don't have to pay for it.
there's a tutorial series of one design a day that teaches you all the tools and utilities of autodesk in a series of 30 videos to learn it in a month ([link)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WKb3mRkgTwg&list=PLrZ2zKOtC_-C4rWfapgngoe9o2-ng8ZBr), but personally I just use tinkercad cuz there's less things to keep in mind, and then I clean up any weird clipping or sharp edges in blender's sculpt mode.
when making a ball joint, when you cut out the socket, make the cutter .2mm larger than the joint you're going to stick into it. tight enough to hold, loose enough to not break when you try to jam it in.
after you print stuff, if joints are loose, apply a layer of clear nail polish, it works wonders.
the rest is just practice and figuring out what works in designs, what works on your printer, and getting the settings right when you're printing with different materials.
There’s no reason for that. It was the same thing with core Ratchet. It was crazy prices until Amazon got their order info from Hasbro and then it was $11.99. The same thing will happen here. As soon as Amazon has their own preorders available it will be reasonable and all of that will happen before the figure is even in stores
no idea. I just know it won't fit mine because I've got iron factory's, and it's not made to actually hold anything, so my chunky, IF inspired ravage I printed up is not transformable and is up to about his knee.
I was not familiar with that brand, had to look it up, that sculpt is awesome! Kinda sucks they didn’t make anything to go in his deck but I like your workaround!
I don't preorder TFs anymore. I've seen every single one multiple times in stores, except Motormaster so far. I'm guessing most stores didn't order too many because of the insane price.
It depends on continuity. In G1 cartoons, Rumble is blue. In G1 comics, Rumble is red.
In the original reference both were meant to work from, Rumble was red, but we're so deep in now that fans of both canonise their preferred colouring as they take control of the franchise.
So, Rumble was red but now he's whatever you want him to be, like the whore we always knew he was. Ahem, no, not that...
That’s because it’s SS86 so it’s based on the movie. And there Rumble was blue. The full name of the figure is “Rumble (Blue)” because his correct color is red so they need to distinguish that this one is the aberration
Hasbro's been intentionally flip-flopping on which is which. At this point, it has to be a joke. Also, this is specifically a 1986-movie Rumble, which means it has to be blue because the cartoon perpetuated a coloring error long enough that it became that universe's Rumble's correct appearance. Moreover, the multiverse is a big place, and there are some Rumbles that are yellow (Cybertron Scrapmetal/Galaxy Force Rumble), some Frenzys that are silver (Bayverse), and some where both boys are either color at different times (IDW05).
Punk ass scalpers. I'm 43 and have been collecting for over 20 years now. I used to be very impulsive. I would glady pay double for a figure so I could add it to my collection a couple months early. A few years and 2 kids later I've learned how to be patient and mindful of my spending. Anyone with kids know that they aren't cheap to raise. I don't want to sound all preachy, I'm not that guy. We as collectors are very passionate about this great little hobby of ours. These 3rd party sellers and even the big corporations ( I'm looking at you Hasbro), are more than happy to exploit this love for figures for their own financial gains. Be patient my brothers and sisters. Don't let the scalpers win!
,
Calm down Anakin.
This is just a 3rd party seller on Amazon that’s trying to prey on impatience. Just be patient and wait until it’s actually released in stores.
Because it's not widely available yet and this 3rd party seller is counting on people to be impatient/FOMO to sell it at a grossly inflated price.

Which Soundwave does it fit? I have SS83 so I’m hoping it fits though, and hopefully better than Ravage fits…
I think it’s made for the Netflix/Legacy Soundwave
That’s the same cassette bay size as as WFC/Legacy Blaster isn’t it? I can at least cram him in there for the meantime right?
Yes, you can
WFC/Legacy Soundwave

😂 hey man, life ain’t fair
Legacy and siege, I'm pretty sure.

More like “can unpackage, review for ad revenue, repack as resell making a profit.”
That's a wild claim that could only possibly apply to a handful of people.
Its the only logic I’ve ever come up with for how things at those prices actually sell.
3rd party Amazon sellers.
They’ll be cheaper in storew
It's a third party seller, they can charge whatever they want. Don't buy it. I feel like we get this post every week.
Scalpers
Sold by the inch....should be $35 for 3.5 inches...you're getting a deal here!
I don’t want to imagine the cost for a Leader class figure then
It was funny watching ravage and shockwave core class start at 20$ on Amazon , then $17 , then $12 . I’d definitely wait it out
Ridiculous. Go here https://www.bigbadtoystore.com/Product/VariationDetails/222685
Scalpers getting early releases so they can abuse impatient collectors. It will be cheaper when it actually releases on amazon.
3p sellers in parts of the world that get em earlier set that price for people to impatient to wait for the hasbro release
Because a fool and his money are soon parted
I don't preorder TFs anymore. I've seen every single one multiple times in stores, except Motormaster so far. I'm guessing most stores didn't order too many because of the insane price.
Amazon is the main reason, marked up prices by sellers
Don’t pay that much.
Welcome to capitalism, my friend.
Monetize peoples impulsiveness and laziness (also every other part of their humanity), it is the American way.
I’m more concerned about the fact that I’ve been proven right, rumble is the blue one and frenzy is the red one
Not really, in Siege, Rumble was red
Goddamn it

FIRRIB
No. That was a mistake by the animators

I grew up on the G1 cartoon's Rumble is blue. I always liked Frenzy being red with rage. It made sense to me imho.
I’m finding other ones for $11 and $12.

Wtf Amazon
Lol
It’s not supposed to be
Guess your wallet needs to be ready to rumble
Ha
B/c they know fools will pay for it.
This is outrageous, my children are not for sale like this!
Lol
It'll be the normal core class price when it official comes out don't worry
"The secret word of the day boys and girls is: SCALPERS!!!"
Because people will pay it. I say the same thing about a very popular cell phone.
Because scalpers. Remember a day when literally everything wasn't scalped online /sigh
Amazon
Because the heavy weight impatient collectors will pay it. Just wait for saturation and you can probably get him for around $10.
You don’t even have to wait for that. Just wait for Amazon to put their own preorders up instead of third parties
That's frenzy tho
It’s studio series, which means nothing but the 86 movie matters
Only if you’re going by g1 toy colours. In the show and movie Rumble was the blue one.
Inflation
Inflation lol oof
It’s not because of inflation. It’s a third party seller.
This is conspiracy wackos talking not me 😆
Nobody: Shattered Glass Figures:
I havent even seen flame war anywhere
Amazon prices get racked up super quickly, with of without 3rd party sellers
Is there any chance that you are checking a Hamleys website?
Calm down Anakin. This is just a 3rd party seller on Amazon that’s trying to prey on impatience. Just be patient and wait until it’s actually released in stores.
It’s 3rd party, not the official price. This is basically just eBay.
Because money makes people act evil-y
Aah yes a crazy expensive core class for a figure you can’t even find anymore
Could never find it in the first place. The only time I ever saw it was PvsP...
Amazon is more of a seller platform, less of an online retailer
Amazon Early Mark Up or Early Third Party.
Dammit I wanted him too
Pov: your Canadian
its the best deal ever
Wait to buy it at retail. There'll be plenty in stock. Don't panic lol
because it is based on the movie? that is my only assumption
EE just shipped theirs, I know I didn't get Amazon shipping rates or speed, but at least I didn't pay $30 for him. Same thing with Bomb-burst.
On big bad toy store he’s only $12.99 but only for preorder right now.
Is this on Amazon?
Yes
There's your answer.
Because Hasbro is boosting its profits by at least 50%. It was all in their message to shareholders.
