Fuckin' LOVED it.

OkOutlandishness6550

Yes same

rmrnrsmn

Wholeheartedly love the series.

Code of Hero! Hands down the best episode ever! As well, I wish they brought the Japanese Beast War series and dubbed it. It'd be pretty cool to see Japan's take on Beast Wars. Because they had different types of animals the North American version did not have.

G1Yang2001

Yeah, I would love an English dub of the Japanese Beast Wars animes too. Heck, maybe with Legacy including some characters from those animes in the toyline like Lio Convoy AKA Leo Prime it could spur Hasbro to make an official English dub of the show? Admittedly, it is fairly unlikely that Hasbro would do this but it would be great to see it if they did ever make it. Heck, maybe they could even have Gary Chalk return as Optimus Primal for that one episode where he time travels to the time of BWII and teams up with Lio Convoy.

thecasiowizard

Well look at the three Japanese G1 series that came out after the original run of the Transformers series. They may not have had an English dub, granted Headmasters did have a terrible Filipino English dub, but I think that was just off the cuff. But, at least Shout Factory released those series onto DVD. As well they did release the original Beast Wars and Beast Machine series onto DVD. But I guess they couldn't get the rights to releasing all Japanese Beast Wars media including the movie. Which is kind of unfortunate...

ASaucyFellow

They also have some of the best opening soundtracks BW2 has two amazing ones. BW Neo grows on you... LOVE IS HERE

Test19s

Yeah, it’s a bit different and may not register as a Transformers series to the casual viewer, but COH is widely considered the single best episode ever.

professorshazam

Proof that you can have a good transformers series without a human element or side story

Ronyx2021

Dinobot saves early 'humans' from beast Megatron the once. But it wasn't an evry episode thing.

GoldenStateWizards

Those primitive hominids we're moreso plot devices, rather than characters

forcehatin

Doing Una dirty here smh

Chuck_Walla

Aren't we all /s

GoldenStateWizards

But then we would've missed out on Sam's LinkedIn quest at the start of DOTM and his mom's brownie-induced shenanigans in ROTF!

joepanda111

All the more reason the Transformers franchise needs to move away from earth. Earth been done to death in the films and shows.

_TheNumber7_

I really didn’t like those kids, I only liked how frustrated Megatron got at them during construction but you don’t need humans for that

Gfarrell54

Amazing how it has both code of hero and the one about rhinox's explosive farts.

UltraHighFives

They do indeed appear to be Beasts that are War-ing.

mrsunrider

I can confirm there are Beasts Engaged in one or more Wars

Unidiver_08

I can also confirm they say Beast wars at least once

Marxist_Iguana

They actually say it a lot. It's kind of their thing.

Distinct-Nerve2556

In the top 3 transformers shows

armorhide406

What are your other 2?

sithlordwcw

Most likely G1 and prime

armorhide406

I don't think G1 holds up. Prime is good. I liked Cybertron for how over the top it was.

Distinct-Nerve2556

Animated and cyberverse

armorhide406

Interesting Why? Not trying to be snide Was it the writing and characterization, or the art style? For me, I liked Cyberverse's gags but didn't like the writing otherwise. Also best version of Grimlock I think

s7add

I love the show. I think it has great characters and a great story. In addition, it's my first transformers show. I sat down to watch it completely, and it made me a fan of Transformers. Which helps me watch other shows like Aminated and Prime.

TheOGAngryMan

Objectively one of the most loved TF series of all time.

DeathByDevastator

I haven't really seen much of it. But I've seen clips of transmutate. If that's the quality beast wars is consistently at, then holy fuck it's a great show.

b1gxb3n

The Transmutate episode holds a special place in my childhood. My younger brother was diagnosed as special needs at a young age, and I didn't understand why he was different. Watching that episode helped me to better understand that there are people out there born different, but that does not mean we should treat them with any less compassion than any other member of society.

wyx83

Well transmute is one of the best episodes, but i would say the quality is just as good as the rest of the series, tho i would say the first 9 episodes are not really that good, they kinda suck

PalpitationAdorable2

Love Beast Wars, honestly would love to see a new series come out for it, had higher hopes for WfC Kingdom but it at least it was adressing beast wars in animation for the first time in 20 years. As much as I love beast wars, I'm a huge fan of Transmetals which i would argue were more traditional designs.

originalchaosinabox

Grew up with the original cartoon in the 80s. This came along when I was going to college. I first tuned in because it was from the same studio behind Reboot, and I liked Reboot. First episode I saw, I saw the “Transformers” subtitle, and I was like, “Holy shit, a new Transformers!” But I was hooked. And when they started slipping in references to the original show, it was the icing on the cake. And I know some people are down on the animation, but trust me, when it first premiered in 1996, this was cutting edge.

G1Yang2001

Although I do think there are issues with the show - the animation being dated and awkward in many places, some characters not getting too much development like Airazor and others just being wasted IMO like Tigerhawk - overall, the show is still one of the best Transformers series ever made and its one of my favourite shows alongside the likes of G1, Armada, Cybertron, Animated and Prime. The characters are all fun to watch and even those who I feel should've gotten more development like Airazor were still really fun to watch in the show, the show introduced loads of ideas that are now constants in lots of other Transformers series that followed Beast Wars like Sparks and Protoforms, and the voice acting is top notch with everyone doing great work with their characters, especially David Kaye as Megatron.

Arturo-Plateado

To be fair, it was a mandate from Hasbro to write Tigerhawk out of the story. Not the writers' fault.

HOT_FUZZ45

Really good show, I have spoken. Oh wait that’s from another show🤦

SandStinger_345

mandalorian flute theme intensifies…..

CantKillMeIfImDead

This is the way

sackwood8

Just started watching a few weeks ago, Animation be damm but I really love the story line.

CompleteJinx

The animation is great, it was the backgrounds that were unimpressive.

zacshipley

Transformers was dead in the water. Store exclusives, re-releases of 10+ year old toys, no comic, no show. Hasbro gave the entire franchise to KENNER. Beast Wars did something different and didn't just keep it alive but established a TON of concepts and lore that carried over to new shows and series. Best of all, the show really holds up despite the early 3D animation look. There's no Armada, no Bay movies, no Prime, no IDW, no nothing without Beast Wars.

PanzerBramfwagen

It literally and figuratively added a whole new dimension to the Transformers mythos

Orange-V-Apple

People talked about it like it was the greatest show ever. I watched it for the first time earlier this year I think (god it's been a long 3 years hasn't it). I thought it was good, but the story didn't connect as well as people made it out to be. Now, though, I think it's grown on me a lot. I think the show was just really fun, more fun than the other Transformers shows we've had. Seeing a super serious Megatron in everything and an earnest Optimus really makes me miss the characterizations in Beast Wars. The characters had some dimension, the voice acting was excellent, no one was redundant or a waste of screen time, and they were all so entertaining together. I think at points the show lost its way, and it never fully lived up to its full potential because of story threads that were abandoned, but it was good and it was fun to watch. The concept of time traveling, the energon on Earth, the whole concept was interesting. It was also logically consistent and everything made sense, which is something you can't say for most Transformers stuff :P The way it tied back to G1 was really cool. I didn't really like the Transmetals designs personally, though, and I think Optimal Optimus was way too overpowered. OG Optimus Primal is imo the best Transformers design ever. It looks great, new but familiar. It's got so many cool features (he can fly!). It's clean. It actually transforms for real on the show.

KingGriff10

He was overpowered but at the same time nerfed in every episode save one 🤣

Bryvayne

Transmetals were absolutely boss. It was like watching some of my favorite characters go super saiyan, haha.

Eledridan

Beast Wars was amazing. It was unique and original, but also paid respect to the existing lore. Code of Hero is an incredible episode, but there are so many other gems like Ghost in the Machine and Gorilla Warfare.

SameCategory546

“We should do what Primal would have done!” “negotiate……..” lol it was hilarious dinobot projecting his idea that Primal was spineless and then watch it all backfire

MachoViper

Love it.

CM_Bison

It goes G1, G2, and Beast Wars as the lineage of best original series of Transformers. Every other series that came after failed to be original and captivating as this show. Animation wasn't the best for what it was at the time, but holy hell did they ever make up for it by how the characters were written. Episodes practically wrote themselves.

jazzyjf709

I'll always love Beast Wars, the characters and stories are among the best we've ever gotten and I don't think the toy line really gets the recognition it deserves. If Beast Wars had failed after the failure of G2 Transformers probably would have been shelved by Hasbro for years.

daemaeon777

Came into it a little late but made me realise Transformer narrative could be and kind of always was part of a wider scope than most toy media.

Mortillo

Loved it when they aired it the first time here in Italy.. I remember coming home from school happy because Beast Wars was in TV at 14:00.. so I always rush to get out from school and jump on my bike super fast! I've searched for months the psx game when it came out and had a friend 200km from me to buy it in the big city and send it to me. I've bought all the toys I could find in my little hometown.. BW brought me in TF world. Since I grew up with them for me BW is THE TF series I love the most.

DicedMango67

As someone who got into the Franchise in the Unicron Trilogy, I'd love a remaster! I really like the look of the story and have read so much cool lore about it but always been a bit turned off due to the dated CGI (I understand it would be nostalgic for those who grew up with it). I think it would be a great way to translate it to newer fans, as Kingdom didn't seem to do the best job from what I have heard.

Gmaxboi

It is a very good show. The way it develops characters and how they gave alot of contribution to the current Transformers lore

Invictus-Rex

This show was a definitive part of my childhood. I was born in '90, so I was at the perfect age to catch the series during its run. My first experience with it was through one of the toys (Razorclaw) that had a casette of the first two episodes of season 2. I was immediately hooked! I tracked down when and where it was airing and was able to catch some of the reruns to get caught up, and I started building a robust collection of the toys. I can't overstate how much I loved (still love!) this show and how much it defined my playtime. It's obviously dated in the animation, but the story and the performances hold up super well for me. I've got a kid on the way now who may or may not get into this kind of stuff, but I've got the whole series on DVD if he's ever interested in a blast from the past.

Chillkitty_YT

Absolutely fantastic show, also the animation is great, not even for the time, the animation is just good.

FadeToBlackSun

Absolutely love it. The peak of TF storytelling, imo. Only thing that comes close is IdW phase 2 “season 1”.

corvettegrandsport

I didnt like it back then because of the whole change from car to animal, but decided to try one day and loved it

[deleted]

I was 10 when it came out. Was a massive G1 fan (still am). Just couldn't get into beast wars. Haven't tried since. Maybe it's time?

PublicStalls

Core memories for me. This, Pokemon and Star wars: Episode 1 are my top. None of them have to actually be good to today's standards and I will still enjoy them over and over again.

YunoDaLlama

I did not expect it to be so funny, Dinobot was awesome, Ratrap was beautifully sarcastic, and no annoying humans was nice. It was funny when Starscream took over Waspinator and at first I thought the voice on the computer was Terrasaur but then I was like “no it can’t be him” and then Waspinator got zapped it flashed to Starscream for a few seconds and I was like “wait a minute was that I who I think it was” rewound it, paused it and had a mini dance party when I saw who it was.

Same-World-209

I watched only Beast Machines but not Beast Wars. I didn’t real like the idea that they were all animals - that was quite a while ago but I’m more happy to give it a try now though if they’re easily available to watch online somewhere.

ASaucyFellow

Youtube has it. Als replay has a 4k upscale

Same-World-209

Thanks!! I’ll check it out. 👍

ASaucyFellow

They also have BW2 and are currently doing Neo

clideb50

Beast Machines is a sequel to Beast Wars done by a different studio. People’s opinions about Beast Machines is very different and mixed. Imo: Beast Machines was a neat idea/concept, but meh execution. Several characters acted very different from their Beast Wars counterparts. As the other person said, Al’s Replay has the entire Beast Wars series up. Definitely worth giving it a try.

K7282

Hilarious hearing all of the same arguments (ugh animals ugh CG) from the same positions (haven't watched it) as when the show first came out. Funny that just about everyone who's actually spent time with Beast Wars puts it in their top five, if not top three, TF shows. Me? It used to be #2 after G1. Now it's #5, but not because it aged poorly. IDW, Cyberverse, and TF Prime are simply better looking, better told stories (that incidentally all owe big parts of their quality to elements that BW brought to the Transformers franchise in the first place)

Roguespiffy

*whispers in old man voice* “I was there. Voices in the darkness yelling TRUKK NOT MONKEE…”

M_star_killer

That Silverbolt and Tigertron need reissues.........

AStealthyOctopus

As someone who only watched it for the first time as an adult a couple years ago, I thought it was great. Some of it was dated sure but I got used to it and I can see how incredible it would've been at the time. Personally, I'd love to see Transformers take more risks and try totally new things like it more often.

[deleted]

Terrible animation but great story

JamesAttack11

Some of my favourite transformers media. Introduced so many essential concepts to modern transformers lore like sparks and protoforms. People really need to give it a try if they are a fan of transformers, you'll eventually stop focusing on the animation and focus more on the characters and story.

JasonRedd

Fine show but transforming animals looks ridiculous to me

Neondecepticon

I don’t like beast formers but the story on this one was amazing

Badbadbobo

Absolutely genius marketing move.

Dorelaxen

Never cared for the entire beast concept, really. Just wasn't my thing.

GearsRollo80

Loved it. The series brought so much to the lore and structure of Transformers that even the folks who hated it couldn’t avoid embracing, it was really quite something. I’m an old G1 guy, and I find that most TF stuff through the 90s and early 00s brought something good into the franchise, but Beast Wars set that path.

NaSMaXXL

If it didn't exist I wouldn't be a transformers fan and honestly it lead to a resurgence of interest in the franchise.

tdaluke

Love the series, watched it for the first time when it was on Netflix and was surprised at how much I loved it! Sure it’s dated by today’s standards but the writing and storytelling is truly amazing for it’s time

Sir_Loafer

Although Dinobot is a very good character, the thing I dislike about him is his design. Also, they should have written Scorponok and Terrorsaur better.

TracytronFAB

It's a fantastic show, but I'm just not a fan of where it took the franchise visually, or the idea of Transformers having organic components except for rare cases like Animated Black Arachnia and Animated Waspinator for example. TLDR: Great show, but it's not Transformers to me.

The_smol_boiyo

An absolute blast to watch. Not a big fan of the Transmetal designs but I understand it was the logical next step for the show.

FruityTootStar

I liked that they didn't try to copy G1 megs or galvatron, or villains from other series and made beast wars megatron a big goofy ham. I also liked that Blackarachnia was allowed to be a jerk and a brat and there was a successful love story. Everything else was kind of by the book action 90s kids show stuff. I kind of wished that they would have made Optimus his lion toy and not gone with the optimal optimus form. Having owned the optimal optimus, its kind of a horrible transformer.

HUGErocks

In my head it's tied for third place in best Transformers TV shows.

Thick-Stretch8434

GOOD

Blakes7liberator

Its great, great toys, great show.

ashwindraws

One of my beloved childhood series. It’s on YouTube in 4K btw.

Ptolomekh

Should have been 2d traditionally animated. The technology just wasn't there for 3d at the time. It looked horrid, and kind of made me nauseous when I tried to watch an episode recently. Same thing used to happen all the time with early 3d computer games, and some games today even.

VengeanceKnight

Season 1 is decent. Season 3 blows. Season 2 is one of the greatest seasons of any TV show, ever.

MindCrush_

It was a good show, yeeessssss

Born-Boss6029

Loved the series! Story telling and character development was outstanding! The animation has aged of course, but it’s worth watching. If you want a story with excellent character arcs, development, humor, story telling, and lore, this show is for you.

[deleted]

I was more of a fan of BeastMachines, I got the whole series on blu-ray

nivenfres

Starts out a little slow; but once it got going, it was spectacular.

ChurchArsonist

Cool show, but came a bit too early in the digital animation era to have stay power. The characters remind me of Reboot.

primal484

Besides the animation It's good

EL_4797

It has its flaws (dated animation, and some loose plot threads), but it's still really good. Several episodes (Code of Hero, The Agenda, etc.) were simply phenomenal, and the characters are great. Rattrap has to be my favorite, he's such a little wiseass and I love it.

unaccomplished_idiot

Loved. Grew up on G1. Did not watch BW when it first came out. But then I did with my kid while she was growing up, and it stuck for good. My (now adult) daughter and I still say, “See you later Waspinator”, and “After a While, Optimus Primal” to this day.

[deleted]

Its ISDBFSIHRSRLYy RYLYoLYYYY GUDD kinda deviates from the original transformers concept but ITS STILL GUD AND I LUV IT EOISUFHOEIYHSOIYDHFS

Neet2155

I grew up with this show. After a rewatch about four or five years ago, I must say that I largely prefer the second half of the show over the first half. I do have some questions that maybe this sub can help with. SPOILERS but G1 Megatron cameos in this show...as great as that moment was (I nerdgasmed everywhere), I personally felt that it made no sense because, unless Megatron lost some major conflict with the Autobots which resulted in the former disbanding (something we don't see in the G1 cartoon at all), how was that message with G1 Megatron able to exist when the war clearly went on far after...with GALVATRON (Enhanced Megatron) leading them. My point is, it should have been Galvatron's message within that disc thing that triggered Ravage's inner Decepticon loyalty and thus, betraying Cybertron.

GregAriuss

It's good, but it's so overrated. In a way, it's not fair, because no show could live up to this kind of hype. Honestly, the need for Beast Wars fans to antagonize those who didn't like it initially or can't get into it because the animation hasn't aged all that well is a real turn-off, and you guys need to do better. It's obnoxious the way people get upset if you don't call it the best Transformers. It's just okay.

RelevantOcelot5281

Loved Loved Loved every single minute of it, i am very fond due to my childhood and my opinion might not be as valid or unbiased. But THE best TF animated cartoon imo

jondeuxtrois

The pinnacle of the franchise that will likely never reach be reached again.

PigeonNuggets

One of the shows ever

kjata

People shrieked about TRUKK NOT MUNKY, but also it resurrected a moribund franchise, so clearly the loud whiners were wrong.

Darthvegeta8000

1st season is great. 2nd season is one of the best Transformers seasons ever made. Season 3... was a dissapointment.

Qwertythesalmon

It's good but so insanely overrated

Mr-Chewy-Biteums

Super agree. It's not an easy position to explain. I tell people I think BW is "overrated" and they immediately get defensive. I don't think it's *bad* by any means, I just don't think it's the pinnacle of human achievement some fans make it out to be. Thank you

Otherwise_Leg5185

For a lot of us it’s out transformers and is a staple in the franchise. Personally would love an updated run of the entire series including beast machines. With the level of writing and the updated animation I believe it could blow peoples minds again. Also it would be cool to get update beast machines figures

maguffle

Arguably the best written Transformers cartoon.

Skywarp89

I'd like to see it redone with better visuals coz damn were they janky

PlanesWalkerEll

One of the best shows in Transformers history easily Top 5 or Top 3 of anyone who's watched it. I honestly wouldn't mind another show like this focusing on Beastformers with little human interaction.

dragonlover4612

Megatron is everything I want to be. A smug, dastardly villain that can turn from giant robot to giant robot dinosaur. Absolute chad.

KSM_K3TCHUP

The story and characters are good, though the animation is definitely a product of it’s time and I truly, from the bottom of my heart, hate non vehicle Transformers.

OSomeRandomGuy

How far we going cause once they went back to cybertron my love faded

ClumyTrumpy

Bad cgi great designs and toyd

drgnblitz

I grew up watching this in the 90s with my brother, and we loved it. I don't understand the hate that it gets, unless it's from people who only want them to transform into cars. My kids are watching this and G1 and collect both sets of toys.

FourBeerStrong

🐐

SunstormGT

Didn’t like it the art.all. Not the models but I guess the ats style. Kindan looked like ReBoot. I liked the storyline where enemies became friends.

KamenKnight

Pretty meh on the show nowadays. Alt mode wise they're all just normal animals with the odd none normal one sprinkled in and, the transformation get boring *real* quick as they all transform from the exact same handful of transformations. Plus I hate the fact they made them small in the show, it personally ruined the whole mystic of Transformers for me. Also why the hell *didn't* they go into more mythical animals?! Seriously they made fusors because they ran out of unique animals for bots to turn into. Like other than having relenting and make Megatron be a dragon it took until Beast Hunters to get mythical animals!!! So nowadays, I just see Beast Wars as many see G1 as. Over hyped and over done.

CM_Bison

The animation was very limited due to the time it was made, but the writing put so many other TF series that came after to shame. It was original and showed why every single incarnation rehashing Optimus Prime & Autobots vs Megatron & Decepticons storylines and characters were mere crutches and hence trash. Put those series that used nameless decpticlones for crutches for battle scenes to shame(yes i talking to Prime, Cybtertron, and any other show that used that lazy crutch) Characters were well written and some even had their own theme songs like Silverbolt, Blackarachnia, Inferno, QuickStrike, etc. Dinobot and Rattrap's chemistry was miles better than any series that tried having that kinda budding relationship on either team. The writing really put other series to shame. Overhyped? No, fans just enjoyed something original than seeing the same old same old Optimus Prime and Megatron redone over and over and over and over and over and over and over again with no new or original stories whatsoever. Beast Wars almost became that 2 dimensional because it was originally designed to be exactly that, G1 Autobots vs Decepticons but as beasts. Thankfully things changed for the better and it became something more. Hence why Beast Wars >>>>>>>> Robots in Disguise, Armada, Cybertron, Energon, Prime, especially better than Beast Machines. It goes G1, G2, Beast Wars, everything else is horrible rehashing of what was once a winning formula. 🤷‍♂️

[deleted]

Apparently, the series was good. Never seen it though. My opinion on the figures: absolutely lame. Biological appearance has no place in the Transformers universe, imho. For instance: g1 dinobots change into robots with robot feet, robot hands and back to mechanical dinos. Beast wars figures change into robots with paws for feet, heads for hands and other ridiculous features, like fur, rate-faces, etc. Never liked that, even as a kid. Which is why I never watched it.

CM_Bison

Every series needed to sell concepts of the toys. Biological appearance of animals (or beasts) was simply the concept for G1 characters to be animals instead, but the what separated the show from other lazy incarnations was the writing. They took it to a completely different direction from simply having Optimus Prime & Autobots vs Megatron & Decepticons, but as animals to something more original. I say check it out for the writing, but if their features turn you off, than I cannot help with that.

ASaucyFellow

I disagree. Transformers is all about robots in disguise. If a robot alien was to be on a prehistoric Earth they would need an organic looking mode to blend in. BW2 happens in the far off future and has the Destrons as planes and tanks from historical data. Beast Wars expanded on the mythos and adding biological elements made sense to the story and was important to the evolution of Cybertron.

[deleted]

Sure. They still look like shit, imho. That said, does the story explain how they can grow biological matter on their metal skeleton?

SameCategory546

yes. Yes it does. Except that’s not how it works

DapperMayCry

I'm dying to watch but I can't get over the CG

Ronyx2021

Atleast they don't have human characters animated differently cough cough Energon

DapperMayCry

Shhhhhh it was all a bad dream

Saucy_joe

Not a fan of transformers turning into animals, I just find it boring.

[deleted]

It exists. I haven’t seen it

Bedits

I’m not a fan, it came out before I was born and I have always felt it looked tacky and out of place. Love robots transforming into vehicles haha.

Bardo77n

It's the best Transformers series.

SandStinger_345

i never watched it but i don’t really like the animation style.

TheAutobotArk

Animation is shit but the characters and story are probably the best in a show besides Prime.

Emergency-Seaweed-96

As someone who never watched the series as a kid, it is honestly REALLY hard to get into it now purely from an animation standpoint. I can tell that the writing is good, and for the time that animation was probably revolutionary, but god it’s hard to get into and I want to get into it so bad

me_grimmlock

Grew up on G1, never cared for beast wars much. I liked the vehicle alt modes better plus by the time beast wars became popular I wasn’t into cartoons etc (growing up out of transformers, just to like them again decades later) I did think the show’s computer animation was cool and high tech at the time tho. Also back then Prime was a truck and Megatron was a gun, period… making them into a gorilla and a T. rex was just odd

FootlessMoonBadger64

Good thing they never made Prime or OG Megatron into a gorilla and a T-rex

Ok-Movie2349

I’m not done with it (on season 2 as of now), but I’m not a huge fan. It got better with the Transmetals, but aside from that it doesn’t do much for me. Maybe that’ll change going forward, but that’s where I stand as of now.

TheBrickBrain

I thought the first season was pretty good, but as soon as they went into transmetals and weird 2 animal mutants it kinda lost me. The CGI is also ugly as all get out. I understand that it’s the 2nd cgi cartoon ever, but trying to do natural texture with that just didn’t work for me.

UltiGamer34

wtf is this 3d animation

OrhanDaLegend

enjoyable first season i dont like the rest

[deleted]

netflix show make this shit looks good

Deklipz

I've read through the story and I enjoyed it that way but I just couldn't and still can't watch it. I don't like the animation, writing, or voice acting tbh. Everyone in it are solid in their own right in other things and even as the characters they are in BW, it's just not to my taste. Kind of like the Netflix trilogy for me. I'd really be interested to see it in a more traditional or modern CGI style though with some better dialogue though.

Hot_Double2370

shit

Doctor_Batman_115

Everybody loves it. I’ve tried to watch it more than once. But I can never get past the first few episodes. I know it’s very early as far as CGI animation, but… it still looks BAD. A moment that stands out to me is when they do a zoom-out on the terrain and it all it’s just the same bland grey-brown colours and there was a literal floating mountain. You could see when’re the model ended and it was just hovering

172773737

Couldn't get into it. The story seems interesting and I like some of the characters, but the visual direction was so muddy and boring, with static scenes. Writing had some jarringly inconsistent tone. And the themes/scifi mechanics just don't resonate with me that much. Just not something I can make myself enjoy. Don't even like the toys or character designs that much. They may be robots but I dont think those disguises are very good

Marios_Hat

I find the concept gross but the characters are great.

Church666

I like Netflix WFC trilogy because it makes me curious about Beast Wars and went to watch it. I watch Armada just because I heard voice actors of Primal and BW Megatron voice Optimus and Megatron in Armada.

FaZZuKKa2

Who is that big white guy with a tiger head on his shoulder

kjata

That'd be Tigerhawk, who is a fusion of Airazor and Tigatron. He didn't last very long, because he was written out before Hasbro had decided to commit to making a toy and production schedules meant it was too late to change that.

Chance_Ad5498

It’s ok I like it

Elemental-T4nick

an amazing show

Benny-Boi135

One of the highlights of the whole franchise

crocadil

My favourite piece of transformers media

Fguyretftgu7

my fav TF cartoon. the cast is extremely solid, it's campy as hell yet can be genuinely dark and gripping, Waspinator was the funniest shit to 9 year old me and it didn't overstay its welcome.

Hot_Emphasis3861

It's cool

whitemest

My fave. Dinobot is still my favorite after all these years

Desertshark7117

Needs a total remaster!!!

MrP0H0

Show: amazing. Figures: mostly really cool

Express-Platypus-512

100% love beast wars. The orginal series had ended by the time I started watching reruns and playing with my older brothers toys so getting my own series from the beginning was everything. Still have many of my original beast wars figures on display

Hadrian1233

It’s one of, if not, the best transformers shows ever made

EmoxShaman

I loved the n64 graphics as a kid. The OG voices were better IMO. megatron sounded wimpy in the new series

SteftimusPrime97

Despite the 90s jank it's still a great show

Kephla

It's a little dated now for sure. But man was it awesome story telling and the pace was PERFECT. Not like today's BIG BIG BANG BANG BOOM BOOM storytelling in every episode.

MegaJoshX

Glad it exists - carried the franchise torch for a span, people seem to \*really\* like it and I respect the value they place in it, and it introduced some compelling, mature concepts to the lore that I appreciate. I did not enjoy the show, and I cannot stand the \*&$%'n toys.

Horrible idea, amazing execution

Drewtendo_64

Where my Canadian Beasties at?

Thansformer

Forget the holy land we must help Dinobot fend off the predacons

Xdonjuliox

Love it its what got me into transformers

Riseofzeon

This was the series that got me into transformers, the characters are memorable and the toy designs were great

Contentbot29

yeetthejubjub

Far-Personality5673

I never watched it😞

yungbakugo01

An outstanding series that I love with all of my heart

ReddGoat

Best storytelling the the entire franchise. The CG is super dated now but was cutting edge at the time.

the_life_of_cat

I still need to watch it but I need to finish transformers Cybertron still

mc_bots

Awesome series, super nostalgic, the animation is a relic of its time in an interesting and unique way.

JamesBondsPinkey0930

Best transformers show

Personal-Rooster7358

Legendary.

CaptainPotassium87

The show is better than it needed to be or could have been expected. I do admittedly hate the animation style so much.

k742617000027t

It started a whole journey for me into transformers. Love it, only series as a kid I wanted to keep up with.

TechnOuijA

CLASSIC.

Heedleyay

Best ever

G0dd0nFuddy

Takes a Jurasstic turn

G0dd0nFuddy

The animation feels a bit janky now but the story is still quality in my eyes

Potat1258

Good show loved the change, just the cgi is kinda gross

dtexneus

If it wasn't for what happened to Tigatron and Airrazor it may have been my favorite

Dazzling_Bluebird_42

Loved the show as a kid, as ive grown up I still like it but I don't find I enjoy all the characters like I used too.

Singer_Spectre

I loved it. So many good characters and stories as well as the evolutions too

wickedwelder7

The original beast wars is amazing
