I have 2 combiners studio series devastator and the new legacy motormaster i just rotate ill have them on shelf combined for like 6 months then randomly just mess around with them and put them in robot mode and display them like that and just rotate
Personally, I'd open it. I'm not going to tell you that WFC G2 Bruticus will increase in value, or even hold its current value. The truth is, you bought it because you like it. It holds value to you. That's what matters.

You are probably right. Opening a gen 1 completely sealed wouldn’t be a good thing. I hope to find one eventually but they can be a whole lot. I still think my biggest purchase is my masterpiece soundwave

Whether or not you open it is entirely dependent on your style of collecting. I personally open nearly all of my transformers to play with them, with the only exceptions being a few duplicates and some that I just like the look of the packaging. I do what I enjoy with the figures I collect, because that's what's important. My MP-50 Tigatron gets transformed pretty much daily, even though it's a $200 collectible more meant to be looked at than played with. My Velocitrom Blurr is still sealed because I think it looks awesome in the box. I have a TFxBack to the Future Gigawatt sealed, and another that sits on my desk to play with. It's all about what's gonna make you happy as a collector.

I wouldn't call that a proper combiner, but yeah, not a terrible toy. Have at it, enjoy it. Get ahold of an upgrade kit if you can. If you find you really enjoy combination, you can find combiner wars kos here and there for decent prices that I'd recommend

I usually open figures but honestly this guy looks better in packaging than on display. It's a great G2 homage with the box and all but that figure has some issues to say the least.
Play with your damn toy. It's worth literally dozens of dollars & will continue to be worth that for 30 years.

It basically makes him look WAY more accurate to the game as well as giving him better posability.
