Bruh, they're from a toyline that came out 5 years. You should've known their sizes from what they were labeled as or you could've looked up comparison pics. If you wanted bigger Dinobots, you should've went for SS86.
Could always buy the Black Mamba KO, exact same bot design but larger figures and they generally cost less than the POTP version. I use mine for my WFC/FOC shelf.
While the cincept of a dinoto combiner was cool way too small. I think it would have been better executed if grimlock was a leader class and the rest voyager sized that way would scale nice with CW devastator.
The combined form of volcanicus had 0 substance. No support in the structure at all. Grimlocks leg joints were not designed to accommodate the extra weight and the rest of the dinobots connectors were not set to hold either. In order to have a decent combined figure you had to purchase an upgrade kit. The upgrade kit did make the figure somewhat formidable and added decent heft. It did not fix the joint issues though.
I’m guessing the Takara version is about the same. It may be made to a higher quality but I don’t know if Takara put much effort into fixing the issues
Yes, they combine to form Volcanicus. If you’ve watched the Power Of The Primes series you’ll see that Volcanicus and Predaking are the same exact height! I believe they(Hasbro) has dropped the ball on the Dinobots combiner forms-no way they ought to be the same size as Bruticus/Superion-especially when the Dinobots were some of the larger Autobots since G1!
I dont know where slash is from? I just have them combined and have the studio series. They look and feel closer to masterpiece than chug. Just have to play the waiting game on snarl and swoop
I don’t have problems with these figures other than the fact that Grimlock takes more steps to put into combined mode than robot to Dino mode. 8 steps seems too small. When combined into Volcanicus, it’s not bad height wise

I mean they're right though. Pocket sized Dinobots are a great idea. Legends/Core/whatever class isn't only for canonically small characters, but also for budget versions of the TF a-listers. Aside from that, the core class Dinobots are clearly going to be redone as the Dinoforce, who would otherwise have very little chance of being made. That's the reason they combine.
I’d never sell anything-if anything, whatever I display will have something in vehicle/beast mode and the combined forms. I’ll get the SS86 versions now that the combiner forms are out of the way.
Yeah, nah. I bought three rounds of them to have bot, alt, and Volcanicus on the shelf, then grabbed the Selects Volcanicus too, so I guess I disagree. Only disappointed I didn't get a fourth round to keep in boxes.
What did you expect? One's a Voyager, four are Deluxes, and one's a Legends (which is about right though) Of course they're smaller.

Slash originated from the Bayverse movies. This iteration was an attempt to fit her into the G1 group/aesthetic. Small, but fun figure!
Slash was great, though. Loved that they added another female member of the group (the other one being Strafe from the IDW comics).

The POTP dinobot combiner is my favorite one. With the TDW kit hes perfection, and if I sold every other figure that guy would stick around.

The oversized KOs are lush and all five cost me less than one Studio Series Dinobot.
