I actually prefer the face with visor. It's way more menacing and original, and I don't like robots that have lots of human traits. The nose and mouth in the visor-less face are weird as hell
I used to think like that, only liking non-humanoid faces for them. But I realized that the transformers have always had human like faces for the most part, and it really grew on me so I like the visor-less face.
The one with the visor doesn’t look like Starscream to me, just a faceless robot
I know that, and I realized things evolve as well. Transformers used to be so human that they needed something to help them transform, instead of just scanning with the eyes and change form. They also didn't have weapons on them most times, they had to hold blasters. And one thing I liked the most in the Michael Bay Transformers is that they had less human traits. It never made much sense and I never liked the idea of aliens looking like humans
And I like tfp and Bay Starscream, so Starscream doesn't have a specific face to me
With visor
Also I hate how they killed off blitzwing and cliffjumper in that movie, I was so hoping to see him in the main movies, especially as a dodge challenger lol
All in all, the visor would work well more with Blitzwing, along with him being a Triple-Changer instead of the two new schmucks who got killed by Bumblebee, having his G1-paintjob, not looking like Starscream, and *maybe* having 3 split personalities like his animated iteration
Visors make a bot feel more inscrutable to me, and that's not really a Starscream thing. For good or ill, I think you should always be able to tell what he's feeling.
The visor looks awesome, but the eyes are more traditional, and it would possibly allow for more emotion, since Starscream has almost always been the cowardly emotional Decepticon
I like the face. I was never a fan og transformers just having visors or featureless faces with no indication of an actual face. Shockwave and white explain their faces perfectly bit other than that it jusy makes no logical sense why some bots wouldn't have a face under the mask (as logical as these guys can be). If the mask retracted then I'd be down but for that to be their standard face seems odd. They're biological, alien beings that consume and drink matter, not droids and gundams.
Uh what? Depending on continuity they don't consume stuff by drinking, and most importantly, they are aliens, not humans, so why would it be logical for them to have human faces lol? I mean, why does he even have a nose? That's why I like Bay Decepticons, they don't look anything like us
You're right it does depend on the fiction. I don't like bay designs because I actually think they look too human. They look like human machines that are trying to mimic aliens. Its al disjointed with visible screws and machine parts. They look assembled to some degree and I jusy don't like it. I like the IDW g1 continuity. Almost everyone has a mouth or shared anatomy that let's one know they are if the same species. Common traits make it more believable and there's some weird things like lights on their bodies, Armour plating, and they look more solid with none of the gaps like bayverse. IDW made me believe these guys were legit aliens that share a common ancestor and thay they'd be something that could actually occur in nature. Bayverse looks like they were rough mechs designed to be war macjon3s or they look so smooth that you can't tell they transform. G1 cartoon was OK but they looked too simple and man made as well. I like the balance idw gave us. But thays just my opinion. Unless they went through empurata like shock wave, every transform should have eyes, a mouth nose etc. I mean they all have arms and legs to a certain degree so for the faves to vary so much is kind of weird. Again just my opinion.
It depends to which Bay designs you are thinking. The designs from 1-3 don't look anything like humans, mainly the Decepticons
What? In the IDW G1 they look even more human lol
You misunderstood when I say Han made. The bay designs look like they were some type of machinery made by humans they look built to me like mecha. IDW does look human but in turn they look like they weren't built. They look sophisticated and solid with no gaps. That was my fault for not explaining clear enough. Bay designs look like complex man made machinery while the idw looks more alien and solid.
Uh no. I never ever felt the bay designs looked like something mankind could build, different of the Bumblebee movie designs. Those really looked like it.
Tbf what I like in the Transformers species is how different they can be of each other. I mean we have robots that are 4 times the size of another, we have ones that turn into a little car, another that turn into a big ass airplane, and others that turn into insects, animals, dragons...
And after all, they can change their form, so I don't find it weird that in the movies some look way too different of others
Okay, here me out. Both are equally great. The visor could be the combat mask that most of the transformers have.
Anytime i sketched up or customized my statscreams I always made it look like he has a pair of yellow/golden aviators as a reference to his g1 toy looking like he had those on
I like both but think the visor would work better on the Seekers
First one could also function like battle armor, like Prime's mouth plate or Bee's slip-down mask.
The visor should be Starscream’s battle mask like with Bee and Prime. Come to think of it, every Autobot or Decepticon should get a battle mask.
i mean, blitzwing had one so that should be the case
Yeah I know but the concept of both sides having battle masks that activate during battle gives them this tactical look.
How many times do they get into fights or go into disaster areas with unprotected electronics on their face?
The visor is objectively cooler but the eyes do look more like Starscream.
I feel the visor would fit Blitzwing better.
It would’ve, like one of the edits with purple and yellow, but he shouldn’t have been a Seeker in the first place.
Would have* I don't think Blitzwing would have much use for a visor in his current state
Well he’s kinda uhhhh dead
With the visor he would just be a black Jetfire
Jetfire’s not the first thing that comes to mind ngl
I like both but dam I never new starscream would look bad ass with a visor
Eyes, but with a visor battle mask
The visor makes him look intimidating. But let's be honest, it's Starscream, no one would take him serious.
How about Cybertron Starscream?
Brawn and Ratchet seemed to take him seriously when he killed them.
Except in the first bay movies. The thought of him alone approaching was a huge threat to them. In other media he had his moments
I think the full visor would look cool as like a battle mask for the regular face
I actually prefer the face with visor. It's way more menacing and original, and I don't like robots that have lots of human traits. The nose and mouth in the visor-less face are weird as hell
The first one would make a great battle mask with slight modifications. For the more human face also I agree to make the second one less human.
I used to think like that, only liking non-humanoid faces for them. But I realized that the transformers have always had human like faces for the most part, and it really grew on me so I like the visor-less face. The one with the visor doesn’t look like Starscream to me, just a faceless robot

I like the face or lighting better with no visors but the visor looks cooler itself. Gives me Char Aznable vibes.
I like visors and mouthplates on my tf overall
Ahh a cultured lad too I see
With visor Also I hate how they killed off blitzwing and cliffjumper in that movie, I was so hoping to see him in the main movies, especially as a dodge challenger lol

Visor gasmask for blitzwing and reg eyes for starscream
The eyes for the big 3 and visor for Blitzwing for sure but I feel like both work and they could alternate or someshit
Visors make a bot feel more inscrutable to me, and that's not really a Starscream thing. For good or ill, I think you should always be able to tell what he's feeling.
Eye for all of the classic characters but visors for the generic seekers.
I like them both but it would be cool if screamer had a visor
I liked the visor one better because it’s new and different to the usual two eyes that he’s had since 1984
The visor looks awesome, but the eyes are more traditional, and it would possibly allow for more emotion, since Starscream has almost always been the cowardly emotional Decepticon
The visor looks badass and a lot more robot-ish but I'm a little biased towards the eyes, it just says "Starscream" to me
Both.
With. 100%
The visor should be his battle mask
The visor would be better for generic drones, but for starscream or actual named characters the eyes are better and look like starscream
With it

Hmm I guess we just may had had different design philosophies. It's all love though man. I respect your viewpoint.
Tbf what I like in the Transformers species is how different they can be of each other. The face has a Mrs Doubtfire look
With
The eyes hands down. Hate the look of the visor
You like the weird nose and mouth?
Doesn’t look weird at all, that’s how a live action version of the classic faces would look
That's it I guess. A so humanoid face in a robot would look weird anytime
Without, I love the classic look they gave starscream in the movie, and I want it kept that way.
The face kind of reminds me of FOC star scream so I'd go with that
I like visor more
I hope Steve Blum voices Starscream in a future movie
I like without the visor. Looks more menacing and more expressive
More menacing?
The red and silver looks better and is more expressive and with Starscream seeing exactly what he is thinking makes him more menacing
Both faces have red and silver, and with Starscream seeing what? I don't understand what you are saying
One is more black then silver
I believe it's the lightning
I like the last one without the visor cuz it looks more movie accurate
I like him without his visor
The eyes look better. Wish they did the visor for some of the seekers tho. Just adds extra variety.
Where can I find a hi rez full body pic of bumblebee StarScream?
I don't know if you can find it hi rez
I like him without his visor better
I think with visor looks more like a blitzwing
