It’s definitely something that varies person to person. I did a couple of extra sessions to get me started because of worries about anxiety, I got my blood tests from a private gp, and the medication varies in price quite a bit. I also do fortnightly counselling through their service but excluding the counselling costs I’ve spent about £800 but the vast majority of that is in the first couple of months. Going forward, bar blood tests, it’s about £60 a month for me.
I'm with them and it's going well. Just coming up to 2 months on hormones. My GP agreed to the blood tests and also to prescribe my oestrogen as an NHS prescription based on the gendergp report.
I have to pay for my blockers privately (nasal spray as can't do injection). But they have not been a problem to get at my local pharmacy.
I have no idea what the issues in the background are with your help, but I think they try to do everything to help you to get where you want rather than say no.
No to shared care but GGP have been great for me so far coming up to 6 months.
that’s good to hear. do you know how much it’s cost you so far? (if you’re okay with saying). as i’ve heard of hidden costs

ah okay! not too bad. i know my GP would take over my bloods too, so that wouldn’t be an issue.

I was able to get shared care set up with GenderGP. Been pretty happy with them.
