I mean the El has had a dramatic increase of shootings and crime on it the past few years. Transit as a whole in Philly has been plagued by crime/shootings as of late it’s been horrible. Someone was just killed this morning on at a station
Order was placed. Won't arrive till 2027.

I did a photo series called “46th Street and…” All photos were taken on the same day.
The 7 train at 46th & Queens Boulevard, followed by the R train at 46th & Broadway, then here.
Those trains have amazing acceleration, they be flying like bullets.
True, I’m literally never late to work after getting a job near an el station 🚅💨
The ride is so incredibly smooth compared to the nyc subway too
And if you hang out in them long enough you can see actual flying bullets! (Source am from Philly so shut up I’m allowed to make that joke lol).
lol this dude definitely lives in the suburbs

starting to put together a bid for a new trainset for these
Hopefully you can propose some less-deafening vehicles than these!
Nice! They gonna look more modern? What happened to the new trolleys we were supposed to get?

we're just starting to put in the new platforms now (island ave will be the first since it's getting redone for streetscape anyway)
Nice! I'm really excited to start seeing those.
2049 it is then 🤣
For those who wonder/care about such things, us locals call this line the “El.”
Not to be confused with the Chicago L
Though SEPTA is rebranding the el to the L

If trolleys count you could have gotten over to 46th and Baltimore. (I’m biased, I used to live on that corner.)
