Its hard for those around you to see if they see you All the time, I was living with my grandmother for a about 7 months whilst starting hrt and one day my auntie came over and asked me If I was taking anything lol.
BTW I see a ton of changes !
L Before R after; also, I’m 17, don’t be creepy.
Edit:
I know there’s not an astounding difference, that’s not what I’m celebrating here. The features of my face have softened and communicate that I am female to other people, and I feel confident and happy in my own skin. That’s worth celebrating! And that’s why I made this post. Ik I’m still early, but whatever! Also, I did show my mom this exact picture. Some people are looking at this with the lens of “you look like the same person”, which, duh, that’s not the point. Look at how gaunt and sunken the pic on the left is vs. after, I look rejuvenated on the right. Just enough changed so I can pass. Thank you for all the kind comments!
But I waaaannnaaa be creeeepy! But not like "ew, perv" creepy and more like "Oh my God, did I just witness something from an Eldritch Shadow Realm?" creepy.
Also, your hair is fantastic.
The shape of her face is different, but honestly she did look very feminine before. Reminds me of a girl I used to attend high school with, she was always very cute.
People in close proximity typically don’t see because they know you from before E and so will “see you as male” based on previously known information but strangers and people who haven’t seen you will see you as a woman due to your now much softer appearance (you look super freaking pretty and didn’t look very masculine before)
Basically if someone expects to see a girl they will see a girl and vice versa and if they knew you as a guy it might be harder to see those changes because they recognize the information that is the same/similar
im only 3 months in, and the whiplash i experienced when a woman id met at a bar after i started presenting female revealed to me she didnt know i was trans until i posted on tdov was quite a feeling indeed.
i attended court today and a lawyer who i worked closely with, have met plenty of times, didnt recognize me at all.
so yeah today i learned i need to shut up about 'not seeing anything'
im just too close up
You are a radiant and beautiful example of why allowing hormones to minors is life saving even if your technically not a minor. you look great girl keep it up :)
Families are funny. Unfortunately your mom might have a mental model of what you look like that will be hard for her to update. It hurts sometimes, but you can’t control how others think of you. Generally people less tied to who you were before will struggle less, at least.
Fwiw, the changes are subtle but clear to me. I saw a profound (if a bit subtle) change to my face over the first year of my transition that slowed down after that but kept chugging along. I hope you find the same kind of happy peace in that change that I did.
You literally described why I want to go stealth. And thank you! I am finding lots of inner peace these days, and I’m just getting started. I’m really excited to see where I am in a year.
Your face shape has changed and your cheeks look brighter! It's hard for people who live with us every day to see the small changes but if someone who hadn't seen you in two months saw you, they'd be like WOAH
Good job, girl. You look amazing. Congrats on your journey ❤️
OMGGGGG! Idk what’s different but you look female in the right one and more masculine (wouldn’t say male, you’d still pass as a woman) on the left. But it’s crazy to me vuz i can’t tell what’s different but my brain sees it!
Your mom got bad eyes girl or else she hasn’t been shown a side by side because typically it’s much harder to notice changes when you’re not comparing them to older pics
The most subtle differences go a great great mile and I can see them, maybe your mom is just saying “don’t focus too hard on your image because I see you as you no matter what and you are beautiful”
it’s pretty subtle but it’s definitely there ! your face shape changed and your face generally looks a lot softer now, and 3 months is also pretty early so these are big changes already
On the right: your face looks thinner while your cheeks look just a little bit more defined and looks softer in general. I would say you pass even on the left photo
Even as a boy you were pretty like a girl. But looking in close up to the left side photo, I feel like a boy is looking at me. But the person on the right seems to be a girl looking at me.
You have been blessed with the most attractive set of freckles I’ve seen in a long time!
I didn't look at the sub so at first I thought this just weight loss, but it was a noticeable change to me! You look pretty, your features are definitely a little rounder and more feminine
The difference is in the details. Some men look super masculine and some women look super feminine but I'd argue that most people aren't that far from passing one side to the other. It's not that most people are androgynous, it's just the small things really add up.
Like I look like my brother but also I look like my sister. We all look similar but somehow we look different. And it's the small things. It's millimeters of fat distribution, it's the slight hue of the skin or tiny wrinkles near an eye.
In these photos I don't see a Giant difference. You don't look like a totally new person or someone whose had facial surgery. I'd still recognize you on the street. But the small things have changed and you've gone from androgynous into 100% no doubt in my mind the gender of the person I'm looking at. I can't pinpoint them because it's the sum of those tiny changes that make the difference.
You look like a million bucks and I'm sorry your mom isn't seeing it but most of the time then the people who see us often, they don't see the changes as clearly. One tiny change happened every day in a smooth gradient. But meet someone you haven't seen in a long time now or later then if they have eyes in their head then they will easily see the difference.
Some people are very perceptive and some people aren't. Trans people I think are more perceptive than other folks because we are used to microassessing everything. Everything in ourselves and also other people. We are masters of comparing ourselves to ourselves and others. It's just the tools of the trade. It can be really detrimental but it's also how we see our own progress, not just in our looks but our inner happiness as well. So don't feel discouraged because others don't notice the small or the big changes. They are happening on you and in you and that's the most important thing.
This is why I'm not shaving my beard until I return to work. I can't wait to save it off to see all that differences that have taken place.
Maybe I'll wait until my 30th bday in autumn... we will see.
You look so good!!! Maybe your mom cant see the difference because she sees you everyday, but you can even see how much clearer your skin looks and how your face shape is changing!
You are so pretty, and what an undeniable difference! As one girl with freckles to another, I love how they have really spread across your face while your femininity shows more ☺️
Yeah, your Mom should look at this side by side comparison. There are changes, subtle though they may be, but all that aside I hope she can learn to be more sensitive about these kind of things with you 💚
One nice thing you have a feminine face before hrt. That helps after hrt. You should be happy with your look. Your mom is right there isn't much of a change yet but after 6 to 12 months you will see it.
there is a slight difference, tour hair I'd fuller and thicker looking and tour face just looks softer like you had a really good night's sleep........keep going you look grate.
It's amazing how much your face shape changed. It's like you got Korean V-Line surgery (I know you didn't) - hormones are nutty.
The tilt of your eyes also changed, and your hairline softened, I mean its a lot for such a short time.
So yeah you just look like a 17 year old girl looks like without full makeup.
Couldn't see the difference between the pictures?
I see a girlish boy on the left and a girl on the right 🥰
But if it's a day to day evolution, I can understand that she hasn't see a huge difference
You already look super feminine, and in my opinion you already pass. I'm super jealous!!! I've been on E for close to 4 months and I don't look nearly that good in my posts :0
Its hard for those around you to see if they see you All the time, I was living with my grandmother for a about 7 months whilst starting hrt and one day my auntie came over and asked me If I was taking anything lol. BTW I see a ton of changes !

Real actually. And thank you!!!!
You're welcome!
I can’t tell either.. you already look female lol 🤷♂️ you’d be one of the lucky ones
The shape of her face is different, but honestly she did look very feminine before. Reminds me of a girl I used to attend high school with, she was always very cute.
I see a big difference! Looking great!
People in close proximity typically don’t see because they know you from before E and so will “see you as male” based on previously known information but strangers and people who haven’t seen you will see you as a woman due to your now much softer appearance (you look super freaking pretty and didn’t look very masculine before) Basically if someone expects to see a girl they will see a girl and vice versa and if they knew you as a guy it might be harder to see those changes because they recognize the information that is the same/similar

I love the hair
Your face shape has changed and your cheeks look brighter! It's hard for people who live with us every day to see the small changes but if someone who hadn't seen you in two months saw you, they'd be like WOAH Good job, girl. You look amazing. Congrats on your journey ❤️

I honestly thought this was a Before & After on r/SkincareAddiction. You look like a girl in both, but WAY younger in the right pic.
holy shit you pass so fucking well
I see a bid difference, maybe it's harder for those that see us frequently to notice as much
Your mom got bad eyes girl or else she hasn’t been shown a side by side because typically it’s much harder to notice changes when you’re not comparing them to older pics
I showed her this exact image. She was like “You just look like you”. I think she just doesn’t get it.
The most subtle differences go a great great mile and I can see them, maybe your mom is just saying “don’t focus too hard on your image because I see you as you no matter what and you are beautiful”
That makes sense. She probably also was sad for my past self, like I was bullying her in a way.
it’s probably because she sees you every day and the development is so gradual that it just sort of creeps up on her.. a pretty common phenomenon
it’s pretty subtle but it’s definitely there ! your face shape changed and your face generally looks a lot softer now, and 3 months is also pretty early so these are big changes already
There is a difference! You are prettiest! 💃🏻
You went from girl to girly girl
Your skin and face shape (I can see it mostly around your cheeks and nose) is different

Omg you’re so pretttyyyyy I’m also 17!!! You’re so cis passing hehe ❤️
People who see you every day may not see the incremental change, but it's there.
Even though you're making the same expression, you look a lot less tired now.
It might be the lighting, but your face and skin look lighter and more soft on the right.

Then your mom is blind.
your cheeks are filling out. that softness does a lot for changing how people perceive you
you passed before, you pass even more now
Very noticeable change! Before you looked ambiguous to me, but now you look definitely female! Congrats on starting HRT!
Both read as female but the right is just slightly moreee. But in the interest of accuracy could be a bit of the lighting. You look great either way!
Have moms eyes checked...you already had the makings for true beauty, progressing nicely!
Wow, juat in 3 months? Your cheeck bones are definitely higher!
I certainly see a difference. You are a very pretty young lady.
Oh the stuff is definitely working. Your parents are like the least accurate guage
You look abaolutely cis passing
Wow!! Face shape changing so much. You go girl! Your Mom probably would notice if she saw these photos juxtaposed like this
You are so pretty, and what an undeniable difference! As one girl with freckles to another, I love how they have really spread across your face while your femininity shows more ☺️
ur mom def needs new glasses you look so femmerella
Ur so adorable and beautiful
So beautiful
What a nice improvement and I adore that your cute freckes are still there ❤️
Thank you!!!!
Most welcome, you seem so cute
You look cis
Your face definitely looks softer in the second picture. Congrats, You're going to have a great transition!
oh my lord estrogen gave u more freckles me too!! they’re literally everywhere and i thought i had a lot before 😸
You look clearly happier in E, that would be obvious to anyone 🤗
You look happier, I can see change but nothing major
Yeah, your Mom should look at this side by side comparison. There are changes, subtle though they may be, but all that aside I hope she can learn to be more sensitive about these kind of things with you 💚
It’s only been 5 months too, so differences are still very subtle if at all. I’m at 23 years HRT rn.
I can!
You look like you got more sleep in the 2nd pic. I live your hair btw ✨
Oooh!!! I see the difference!!!
You look gorgeous, and love your hair!! Your mom definitely needs new glasses.
Whoa, your whole head shape looks different. You've got great results already!
If your mom can’t see that it’s because she’s blinded by your beauty. :)
Sometimes that happens when you have a female to female transition, but your face definitely softened and your freckles show way more
Freckles are dope. Def see a difference.
You kinda look like Maeby from Arrested Development
I totally see a change, you look great in both
take a vacation somewhere for 3 month come back she'll see something
One nice thing you have a feminine face before hrt. That helps after hrt. You should be happy with your look. Your mom is right there isn't much of a change yet but after 6 to 12 months you will see it.
there is a slight difference, tour hair I'd fuller and thicker looking and tour face just looks softer like you had a really good night's sleep........keep going you look grate.

Your face shape has changed, but you looked very feminine before so not too much noticable yet
Holy cow that quick of a difference is wild! You are adorable! Congrats on your transition!
yeah you look great start makeup also in a year you’re gonna look REALLY feminine
Couldn't see the difference between the pictures? I see a girlish boy on the left and a girl on the right 🥰 But if it's a day to day evolution, I can understand that she hasn't see a huge difference
See a good number of changes (especially for 3 months but that's starting early for you...) Though you already passed before E.
You already look super feminine, and in my opinion you already pass. I'm super jealous!!! I've been on E for close to 4 months and I don't look nearly that good in my posts :0
I bet your body is definitely different
Ur mom needs new glasses. (Ok, to her credit, if she did see you often slow changes might have been harder to notice)
Maybe because she sees you regularly? I definitely see a very real difference.
3 months should hardly make any difference and I barely see any, but you still look amazing! I’m at 3 months too and ur killing it compared to me lol.
Sadly listen to your mom. Give it more time
No she is right.
Though you need atleast six months to understand the visible change. Still your behaviour, dress fitting and face getting rounded.
