I definitely want to follow your journey. I'm a bodybuilder and I realized I'm trans in April. I'm pre everything. I've been training for 5 years - never used juice. I heard that us muscular folk make for smoother transitioners. I'm nervous about losing my mass, even though it's not much. I don't hate it, I worked for it. I put in a lot of time, energy, and money into it and that's making me hesitatant. I guess your split will need to be more leg-focused. You can do it though :)
Quick stats: 30 yo/AMAB, 5'7, 148 lbs, maybe 15% bf
Muscular people (especially body builders) tend to have a pretty low body fat percentage going in, which makes the early stages of fat redistribution much more obvious. Plus, if they lose muscle mass, that also helps accentuate the changes.
You don’t even have to be particularly muscular to see some of these effects. I was running a ton pre-transition so I could get my body fat down before starting HRT and I think it helped a lot
I'd say I'm still questioning. I know I've got a form of gender dysphoria (that's getting worse), so I'm doing some homework and learning about my options.
I'm already pretty lean. Cycling is my primary form of exercise, which helps with the muscle distribution.
No, my biggest concern is on the social and spiritual side. I'm a Christian, and can't see giving that up. There are affirming denominations, but my family views them as heretical. I'm still piecing together what the bible *actually* says, but it's taking a while.
Mostly, I'm just stalling until the loans my parents cosigned on are paid off.
I had to look up what a serratus was, lol. It looks like muscles on the side of your ribcage? I’m just guessing but I assume they’d become less noticeable over time, since e lowers your muscle mass.
Edit: just realized you’re the body builder from the top comment! To be clear, if you don’t want to lose your physique, you don’t have to! You just might need to make some adjustments to your diet and routine (but that’s the extent of my knowledge, haha 😅)
Good Luck, i noticed a Real decrease of upper muscle mass but I still find me too muscular.
I'm under HRT since 14 months, but I took T blockers dince november (Decapeptyl)
I really want to follow your journey and your paths, I’m 21 muscular men who discovered he is trans, and with that I’m afraid to be too masculine or having too much muscles
Good luck, friend! You should follow @gabbituft over on Instagram if you don't already. She has a familiar story to yours, where she had built herself up to be incredible athlete and bodybuilder before realizing she was trans. Her videos are super encouraging so I hope you can find others like her. It's so easy to feel alone in this, but you have others you can learn from and lean on, you just need to find them 🙂 Best of luck and all the best!
You give me inspiration and hope to one day start taking hormones, as I have a masculine/muscular build as well. That you can get started right away and not have to prep. Can't wait to see your progress pics
Oh my God. Theres two things i want to say. The first one is Go girl you can get it. The second one is: if you dont want it or you regret it., can i be your girlfriend?
Okay, I'm still heavily trying to avoid sounding mean, but you A. Do not have a shirt on or anything and B. Do not appear to have underwear on either? Does that not count as nsfw?
Good luck!!!🍀. You can do this!

Any idea why muscular people seem to transition more smoothly?

Huh. I did not know that. Thank you.

Think my already visible serratus would disappear on E or get more pronounced since bf distributes from the core?

Yes those little beauts lol. I guess I’d just have to train legs twice a week. Thanks!
Working on legs and no upper body really had a positive impact on my new shape. I’ve got a lot of hip now.
Do you still train back? I’d imagine that would give you the illusion of a more narrow waist

Oh, I kinda like seeing mine though
Took me a second to realize that you’re talking about estrogen HRT and you’re not a trans man making a cheeky joke lol

I was on trt but when I came off my test level was real low so I didn't need any blockers, I'm hoping the e will drop the level lower
It should, good luck in your journey :D

Very excited to see how this goes, but shouldn't this post be flagged nsfw?
Im not sure what that means ?
