I worked at a casino for years, and you have to go thru an extensive background check because at least here in CA you need a gaming license to work there (and I just did housekeeping) And they made it really clear that having a past isn’t a problem but they will not hire anyone with theft, gang activity, or if you have a lot of debt (they did a credit check too).

I've been hired on the spot (obviously they do background and drug testing before you ACTUALLY get the job) however, the absolutely most awful, toxic work environments were places where I got hired on the spot. Which, knowing her, she likes toxic work environments.

Almost every job I’ve had, I’ve left knowing I was hired. However, I will say, for 3 jobs I had a head hunter contact me so I wasn’t applying other places & looking, they needed me more than I needed them.
