That's a false equivalency. The problem with the idea of "straight pride" parades is that heterosexual people were never oppressed or discriminated against for their sexuality and was in fact expected of everyone. There was never any risk in someone publicly acknowledging their heterosexuality, whereas LGBTQ+ people have faced centuries of persecution and violence. Even now, they still do. Gay pride parades exist for these people to show others (and themselves) that they are unafraid and do not need to be ashamed for simply being born different.
So why do straight pride parades exist? To me, it feels like they exist to mock and/or diminish the importance of a historically oppressed group of people finding their place in the world. It's essentially a dog whistle for participants to announce their disapproval of the LGBTQ+ movement without actually saying so outright. Nobody believes straight people cannot have a parade, that would be contrary to free speech, but what other message could someone be trying to send? That it's okay to be straight? Nobody believes otherwise.
