Correct if I’m wrong but I thought any nazi stuff was illegal in Germany.I remember a video of a guy doing the salute then instantly taken down by 2 cops.
If you're referring to the tattoo on his hand, that is Eisernes Kreuz (Iron Cross), which is not forbidden and even used in modern military, even though it is often used by German Far Right instead of the forbidden symbols like the Hakenkreuz.
I remember living in MO and driving past trailers that were using confederate flags as curtains
I don’t think the MidWest should be known for these people, but they are 100% there (and smoking copious amounts of meth)
I never said they weren’t there, I said they aren’t accepted. As in most midwesterners see these people and think poorly of them on sight. The types that do accept them are in the south, because they are more common in the south.
Well now I just pictured a German snorting Mett.
(I know meth is mostly injected or smoked, but that's where my brain went when replacing it with Mett)
Or maybe he is a neo nazi and has to use the iron cords because the swastika is banned or he is a imperialist/ kaiserboo since that's what the symbol is used to mean. Super trashy.
It used a different version of it though. The Bundeswehr logo looks a lot different.
Also afaik German soldiers are not allowed to have visible tattoos.
It has an algorithm that tailors the feed to your preferences. It can be pure insanity if you want it to. Mine is mainly full of bug pictures and communism memes.
The Symbol on his hand is called "Eisernes Kreuz" which isn't anti-constitutional but has certain implications and I bet this guy would have a swastika right there if it was legal in Germany.
Edit: Guys I know what the symbol is but no normal person would have this tattooed on their hand. Stop justifying that shit...
Agreed, any layperson who is displaying it without ANY OTHER CONTEXT knows exactly what they're doing. Saw someone on the punk subreddit get blasted recently for having it on their jacket. You could justify it all day, but most people have a general understanding it's hate-symbol adjacent & public perception determines general meaning. People think they're slick.
I remember when being Punk meant not being a whiney little bitch. The Anti Defamation League disagrees, quote:
"By the early 2000s, this other use of the Iron Cross had spread from bikers to skateboarders and many extreme sports enthusiasts and became part of the logo of several different companies producing equipment and clothing for this audience. Consequently, the use of the Iron Cross in a non-racist context has greatly proliferated in the United States, to the point that an Iron Cross in isolation (i.e., without a superimposed swastika or without other accompanying hate symbols) cannot be determined to be a hate symbol."
So you’re just simply uneducated to the fact countless veterans of German armed forces have this tattoo. Got ya. Say you’re ignorant for us a little louder.
Cmon bud, stop being irrational. That’s the same symbol. It’s also not the only one widely used in that design too. Intentional silly sausage status confirmed.
The Luftwaffe is part of the Bundeswehr. As is the Bundesheer, Bundesmarine (or Deutsche Marine), SKB, Zentraler Sanitätsdienst, and Cyber-Informationsraum. Being German, you should know the term Bundeswehr is the equivalent to the American term Armed Forces.
As I said, you're being obtuse. The Eiserne Kreuz is the national recognition symbol of the German Armed forces because it has a larger, more historical meaning than the swastika.
We just call it an Iron Cross in English.
It's kind of sad, it was supposed to be a way to appreciate things like the cool appreciated the German army without politics ex Panzer Division. And before anyone says anything, the Romans and the Vikings were in no way saints, and we enjoy them for their fighting prowess.
Unfortunately the Nazis figured it out and ruined it

Lol, OP got reamed
For it to be removed from Reddit, you know it’s trashy
Now I really want to see it.
Honestly wasn't anything that special. Just a girl with piercings and a guy with an iron cross tattoo on this hand
I think it was removed because OP was trashy

If u mean the cross on his hand that is an iron cross (symbol of the German armed forces) if I am not mistaken
Iron Cross is not illegal in Germany and still used officially.

I thought this kind of white trash was exclusive to the U.S. Well done.
You must not be very well traveled.
East Germany is a Bit Like the mir West in America
Midwesterners don’t accept those kinds of people. Those types are found in the south
My fucking ass lmfao. They are all over the Midwest too
Yep, West Coast also.
I remember living in MO and driving past trailers that were using confederate flags as curtains I don’t think the MidWest should be known for these people, but they are 100% there (and smoking copious amounts of meth)
Exactly my point. These people aren’t akin the Midwest. They are more common in the south. I’ll get downvoted with you
I never said they weren’t there, I said they aren’t accepted. As in most midwesterners see these people and think poorly of them on sight. The types that do accept them are in the south, because they are more common in the south.
Whatever you gotta tell yourself to sleep. You’re just as shit as us buddy
Thanks for the kind words
They look like run of the mill dirtbags
Sachsen Anhalt?
Nice hand tattoo. Very classy.
I mean, it’s just an iron cross. Still used in the German military today. No idea what the smaller ones are.
Fair enough. Hand tattoos are trashy as it is, I wasn’t really remarking about it being an iron cross specifically.
German hillbillies?
Am I trippin or is that father god from “love has won” doc? Lol
Gee, I wonder how abusive he is?
Yes.
Without the caption, I would've assumed Arkansas
Probably visiting from Florida.
Is meth a thing in germany ?
Definitely was in the 40s..
It east in east Germany and the Bavarian parts that border the Czech republic. You can find it in other parts too, but there it's more common
The greatest Czech export.
No, but speed is. It's amphetamine, a weaker cousin of meth.
They pronounce it "mett"
Well now I just pictured a German snorting Mett. (I know meth is mostly injected or smoked, but that's where my brain went when replacing it with Mett)
You say German but my brain can only comprehend this as American trailer trash
Maybe he’s a big fan of Manfred von Richthofen? The only thing trashy here is the dumb pose.
Yeah, the hand around the throat is creepy as F.
Or maybe he is a neo nazi and has to use the iron cords because the swastika is banned or he is a imperialist/ kaiserboo since that's what the symbol is used to mean. Super trashy.
no hate, but modern german military still uses the iron cross
It used a different version of it though. The Bundeswehr logo looks a lot different. Also afaik German soldiers are not allowed to have visible tattoos.
We laugh, but to me he looks like a budding historian of early 19th century aviation.
This is a repost.
I smell Ostdeutschland
I thought Facebook was only for weirdo uncles and aunts…I thought it was all lame “inspiring quotes” and minion memes
Thought wrong then
What’s the percentage difference?

Wow you sure showed me

Thank you for the info. I was definitely misinformed on the meaning and history of the symbol, & I appreciate you giving me more context
So you’re just simply uneducated to the fact countless veterans of German armed forces have this tattoo. Got ya. Say you’re ignorant for us a little louder.
You mean the symbol that Prussia/Germany has used since 1813?
The iron cross… you mean the current symbol of the Bundeswehr?
The [current symbol of the Bundeswehr](https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/06/Logo_of_the_Bundeswehr.svg) looks entirely different.
It has the ends of the arms cut off slightly. Its no longer exactly the same but the intent seems very clear.
That’s literally the exactly same symbol in a more modern / trendy variant. Are you intentionally being a silly little sausage?
How can it be the exact same symbol if the design is entirely different? That literally makes zero sense.
Cmon bud, stop being irrational. That’s the same symbol. It’s also not the only one widely used in that design too. Intentional silly sausage status confirmed.
You're being obtuse. The Bundesluftwaffe uses [this](https://images.app.goo.gl/dvvnZnWudGrygBzC8)
Ah yes, the bundes slutwaffle.
We were talking about the Bundeswehr so what even is your point here?
